Yeah, ignoring all ^(drew) guys posts from now on, because he’s really the only person i’ve run into from Yak’s that is so butt hurt about something CD did, obviously.

Tonight was the most my guild [BB] has ever had on, two teams of 4. We finally raised enough gold to buy one co-leader a commander tag, so we could all squad up. We ran around in TC borderland for quite some time, and it was a lot of fun. We were the only ones in there for a while, until we started taking some camps. We had some awesome small group PvP sessions with both sides.

We had a few brand new guys to WvW that just started playing, so it was cool to take them out when it was relatively calm. We must have stirred something up enough, because after we wiped the few small groups trying to take red vale back, we got rolled over by a sizable TC force. I had a good laugh when about 10 stayed behind and laid/sat/danced/etc on my corpse for a while.

after that, most of us went to bed, except for myself, and the other co-leaders. we decided to do a jumping puzzle tour, because, well, we never do it. it shouldn’t be there in the first place, or at least should have a grace period, or be a neutral zone, or something, so it’s not such a big deal. we made an agreement to not attack anyone, unless first attacked. for the most part, it went by all smooth. every now and then, i got hit a few times, but /waved and they stopped. the one guy in our guild was hammered though, and kept attacking everyone. we even trapped him outside of the chest door in the one BL while some yak.s/tc were trying to loot their chests. it was pretty funny, he was yelling up a storm in vent.

he eventually passed out, so the remaining thief, and myself on mesmer, decided to try the EB puzzle for the first time ever. We knew CD had been camping it, so we went in thinking we’d get shot up immediately. and we did. we were just beginning, and waved a few TC players to show we were friendly, and got pulled off the ledge. so, we killed those ones, and moved on. after the dark room (which sucks without a torch…now i know), 4-5 TC were camping the one hallway, so we killed them as well, then eventually got the chest, and had a dance party with a different TC player.

All in all, it was a good time, and wish more of the fights were like that. any NA time frame is so…depleted for us on CD, that we just can’t compete anymore. tier 4 is welcome for most of us who play WvW almost every day, so if that was your agenda, then thanks!

Before this match is done, I wanna say, I’ve run into some real class acts from Yak’s Bend. no sarcasm there, really good fights, good attitudes, lots of fun all around. (from TC, looking forward to another round with you). CD on the other hand…..

Without quoting or responding to individual posts; I’m just going to say that this rotation has definitely been a lot more fun than previous matches, where they’ve only been two servers fighting it out whilst the third dies down and drops to the bottom tiers due to everyone transferring off the server to a different one.

Honestly, as for the camping in Jumping Puzzles, wasting their server’s supplies and using the excuses “It makes them mad” or “It’s a logical tactic to prevent them getting siege / badges”, I find it quite frankly pathetic – The siege that you set up in jumping puzzle areas could be used to fend opponents off of your towers and keeps, or assist in taking one, there’s no excuse for wasting supply unnecessarily.

As for personal opinions on Crystal Desert and Yak’s Bend – I have had a LOT of fun this week, especially with fighting against CD’s guilds, locking us in battle for countless hours, whether it be open in the field or at a keep; however with Yak’s Bend, most likely due to my sleeping schedule I have not fought them quite as much, although the times we have got locked in combat have never been disappointing.

All in all, pushing everything else to the side, whether it being people complaining about camping in the puzzles, hackers, etc… I’d like to see future WvW matches like this, and the two weeks that we’ve been facing CD has been fun regardless, and I personally can’t wait to see how we do next week going against Yak’s for an extra week as well as facing the newly-formed Fort Aspenwood.

Those are my two cents, at least.

Last word: When I hear or read shame ram I am thinking some people has nothing else to do than to try to find something useless to “name and build”. I saw such ram in mid’ field and i screamed:“Comon who is the kitten that is building rams in mid fields with garison supplies thats a griefing !” Just pointless and for sure a waste.

it might help if you know the “the legend of the shame ram”.

we were attacking the NW tower on one of the borderlands. we had set up some catapults to hit the wall. we wanted to put one more down, but the person misclicked and put down a ram instead. sure enough, it ended up fully built. which was a bit of a /facepalm moment for us.

we ended up taking the tower, and shortly afterwards, we had to defend it. the enemy moved around to the side where our catapults were. they took down all of the catapults…… but left the ram standing. i commented about it in /team, and someone responded by saying that it was to remind us of our shame. about 5 minutes later, that ram was killed, and i said in /team “shame ram down”. there was a bit of laughter, and thus the term was born.

they’re basically a goofy pseudo-punishment now. enemy wants to corpse spy? that’s a shame ram. catapult placed at a indestructible wall? that’s a shame ram. someone gets killed 3 or more times running out of the gate at the spawn area to try to solo a zerg? that’s a shame ram.

only one should really be built at a time, and only with supplies from camps. we have more important things to focus our resources on. but the occasional one here and there is no big deal.

CD is the only server not named HoD or ET moving down with a lot of unmoving servers. And no this isn’t a bash on CD. I’ve said and heard it said various places that tier 3 right now consists of 4 servers not 3 and next week is CD’s turn to take a breather and smash poor tier 4.

Same thing that’s been happening since the start of this game. CD was a tier 2 server, we ended up in tier 3 from transfers. Now we will be in tier 4, maybe it will stop once we reach tier 5 or 6.

Really? I hope not. You guys hit us really hard in the previous match with some very skilled players. You looked like you were on the way up especially with your non-prime time crew. Quality opponets are what makes Wv3 great.

Are we seeing the effects of orb removal? Were the orbs maginifying the inconsistent player coverage? I think the game is better without them and hope they are not returned to the game with the previous mechanics.

I do know that next weeks match is going to be intense. FA will bring the numbers and tactics as well. TC is going to have a more difficult time and I believe no one should assume a first or second place finish. It’s going to be all out from all three servers.

Epic fight at EH CD. That was heaps of fun.

Also epic fight last night in EB at Stonemist between CT and Yak’s. CT held Stonemist and we (Yaks) had 8 Trebs set up taking a corner wall down. The problem was, once the wall was down we still couldn’t get by because there was a staircase behind the wall that wouldn’t disappear and was blocking our entry. After bashing our heads against that for a bit, we treb’d a second wall and took that down and finally got past the outer wall. Once past the inner wall, CT had great defense in the Lord’s room, using many many arrow carts to delay our rushes. Yak’s finally got in and took over Stonemist but this whole assault took about 2 hours to complete.

Good times CT.

This has been the best match-up. If matchmaking stays like this it will be good stuff.

Yes, the troll stairs. Ran into that the last time we were red, maybe a month back. Not a very happy moment when the eager zerg runs into the ruins of the wall and jump feebly while the defenders stand by and snicker.

Oh for pete’s sake, get over it. Its not TC thats camping anywhere…or YB…or CD. Whats camping the JP are players from different servers beholden to nobody. They paid their 60 dollar entry fee to play the game…and are entitled to do whatever they call fun.

If the bulk of of those players that peruse these forums can honorably say..“Hey, we all agree that camping the JP is childish…lets not do that.”…That is a pretty good start to leading by example in each of our servers.

I can confirm this. CD alt-F4’s like crazy. They are also much more likely to find your name with report and send immature/insulting whispers to you. I’ve had some Yak’s people contact me and they are nice and ask about builds and stuff.

I wonder if these servers had some “theme” at launch that would cause this difference in behavior?

Meh. All servers have people that alt-F4’s. I’ve met my fair share from both TC and YB. Best thing to do is just think positive. By logging out, that means the enemy has one less player for a while. I’m from CD and part of the Night Crew. i’ve to say CD need more US Prime time players.

Agreed Jois. It looks like just a few prime time guilds would make a dramatic imrpovement to CD. You night crew has remained strong.

Yeah right on, it doesn’t bother me, just an observation. No matter what anyone says I stand by what I said, CD has the most alt-F4 I’ve seen since launch this week at least. You guys smashed us a month or two ago because of numbers and if your in the top 2 teirs and drop to teir 4 after this week that for me is FOTM. Here is an example:

I had an epic 1v1 against a CD thief tonight, Seems that thieves just copy builds off the net since tonight I’ve seen 2-3 using the same build I’ve not seen before. Some trap on the ground with cripple and bleeding that stacks the longer you stand in it and the Thief Illusions they can sommon, they have heaps of condtion removal. Anyway after 4+ minutes of 1v1 i get him, I thought he was just invis and downed, after a 30 sec’s no one appeared on the ground downed. NO skill NO honour just ALT-F4. welcome to CD.

All servers have them. But what I find funny are the stealth thieves abusing the rendering issue, then when you do get them down they Alt+F4.

Whenever I juke a bunch of people on my Thief I always show myself to them 2000 units away just so they know I didn’t alt-f4. I really don’t get how they don’t have a 10 second timeout in this game yet. Maybe today’s patch!

Alt-F4 just became popular recently, and you just started playing matches against CD recently, coincidence? No, logic is your friend. I know everyone likes to jump on the CD hate bandwagon, but I can make the exact same observation. TC and YB both have tons of people Alt-F4ing and I’ve never encountered this many in the past. Also, I’ve received plenty of dirty messages from both TC and YB while killing your folks in the JP, so the people who like to say that CD is the only one with rude players are just flat out wrong. I have never messaged anyone insults after they have killed me, and I’ve been CD since beta.

Was in EB for hours today. Brutal combat.

CD got inside the outer Lowlands keep, pounded Aldon’s with treb after treb, and turned Rogue’s into a makeshift fortress.

I was trebbing the wall of a siezed WC from Lowlands until you turkeys broke my treb, and me. I was on my Asura Mesmer, screaming as I ran into your ranks breaking your fists with my face.

I told my fellow Coasties that the siege of Aldon’s looked like a scene from the battle of Stalingrad.

I still don’t see a point of accusing servers because of bad apples. I plainly selected Yak’s Bend at the start of the GW2 career just because the name looked cool, nothing to do with where the most hackers were, or where the most JP campers were. I believe majority of folks followed the same principal and the magic of RNG put enough bad apples in every server.

This post doesn’t make any sense and I’m not sure what you’re trying to accomplish with it. I said I’ve never messaged INSULTS to players who kill me. As far as deaths in general go, there is no requirement to message the player who killed you to get better. Most of the time people die they know that they died because they were outnumbered, not paying attention, caught unprepared, or just screwed something up in general. For times when they are generally confused about how they died they can go on the forums for help, play with the class that killed them to better understand how to counter, or just study additional strategies for their class which may work better. I highly doubt many players who just killed you will be happy to spend a good 10 mins explaining what you were doing wrong and how to better counter their build.

An amazing battle so far. Last night was the best biggest push by CD we in YB BL have ever seen. Was just crazy tenacity at our east keep at Etheron Hills and CD just will not let up wanting that keep as well as the west keep at Dreaming Bay. Whoever the CD commanders are on last night, you taught us some very interesting push and defend tactics, despite that we lost both our keeps to CD.

Not entirely sure how TC will fare at the start of this next round. The new Lost Shores stuff looks mighty tempting so I don’t know if we will have as large a presence on the weekend as we normally would.

It isnt over yet! Also yes funny how daily server transfer being changed actually made it where things were a lot more fair overall.

I think this makes it alot more fun, maybe they should change server transfer to monthly or bi-annually, to make it even more fair:)

there’s that, and the lack of the orbs is a big factor too. personally, i think they should extend the transfer lockout by at least an additional week. that would ensure everything settles into it’s proper spots. tier 3 looks to be a pretty solid 4 team race, but some of the other tiers are still sorting themselves out.

What i said is simple dude, here ill break it down for you, CD alt f4 far more often than Yaks. You don’t notice this because your on CD.

Not sure why people have to be so rude to one another. Its been a pretty close match. I am happy to see Yaks do well. It shows that with the 1 week transfers things are starting to balance out quite a bit and good matches are in store in the future. GL to everyone in the future.

Just wanted you to know you are by FAR the WORST culling issue abusing thief I have seen in this game by far, BY FAR. It’d be shameful if it wasn’t just so kitten lulzy and ineffective at actually killing anyone, but my god madam. Have some dignity.

To the mesmer from the guild TV on TC that was outside of our spawn on EB. I hate you. While it is a legit tactic, constantly coming to right outside our spawn and ganking the lone unsuspecting dude leaving the spawn is imo a pretty dick move.

Tonight i thought I’d keep a tally, in 3 hours 10 alt F4’s. I’d be lucky to see 10 all week against other servers. They complain about being out numbered on this thread from time to time yet thats exactly the way they slamed us a month or so ago when they were FOTM. No respect for CD. Yaks however is cool.

Alt-F4 just became popular recently, and you just started playing matches against CD recently, coincidence? No, logic is your friend. I know everyone likes to jump on the CD hate bandwagon, but I can make the exact same observation. TC and YB both have tons of people Alt-F4ing and I’ve never encountered this many in the past. Also, I’ve received plenty of dirty messages from both TC and YB while killing your folks in the JP, so the people who like to say that CD is the only one with rude players are just flat out wrong. I have never messaged anyone insults after they have killed me, and I’ve been CD since beta.

What i said is simple dude, here ill break it down for you, CD alt f4 far more often than Yaks. You don’t notice this because your on CD.

TC alt f4 far more often than Yaks. You don’t notice this because you are on TC. See what I did there? On a more serious note, unless you have solid proof that CD does it the most, just stop. All 3 servers in this matchup have people that alt-f4.

um…… i think you’re confusing “observation” with “accusation”.

I just want to parrot everyone in saying its been the best match up I’ve been part of since release.

I remember TC getting smashed by CD a few weeks back but the tables have turned, anybody from CD willing to share why they think this is so? I’m playing from Singapore so have a few friends playing on CD .. but when I ask them if it is due to server transfers they say no, that it is due to the breaking down of the Titan Alliance .. just curious is all if anybody wants to share.

Overall had a great time against YB and looking forward to playing against you guys next week too.

Hopefully the Lost Shores expansion doesn’t result in too many peeps staying away from WvW this week as was the case with the Halloween event!

CD never had Titan Alliance. A lot of it is due to transfers. A lot of our PVP’ers transfered out, while the server remains full because of all of the PVE’ers so nobody can transfer in.

We don’t have any guilds that want to claim / upgrade / defend our keeps in our own BG (except Kwisatz Haderach), so we just have people going back and forth between CD and EB reclaiming the empty keeps they lost.

I still see EMDW and their affiliates out there though (was the main WvW guild I saw in our last matchup too). Thanks for the clarification.

Nevertheless it’s been great kicking CD’s butt this week, truly satisfying, hope you guys bounce back stronger (like TC did).

Wow… if it’s not the Jump Puzzle you TC people will find some other meaningless thing to point fingers about.

It’s been fun this week, but so tired of being outnumbered 3-1 if not more.
