This should be an interesting week in Wv3. Anvil Rock and Gates moving up a tier , NSP moving down a tier.

Lets all cross our fingers and hope for a fun and challenging week.

Good luck! We’ll try to keep some people in WvW this time. But Wintersday starts today, and we all know how much GoM loves their holiday events. :P

Don’t Worry TBA, Anvil Rock has a fair share of PVE’rs :P

And some major alliance from AR used some exploit during last match up, I hope we won’t have them around anymore.

Getting a lil’ ahead of ourselves with this thread, I don’t believe the match has started yet!

It will be interesting to see how the 2 week event plays out in Wv3 participation. Lets hope it doesn’t suck it dry.

Good luck, have fun. I predict my server (GoM) will be down 10k by 24 hours because we aren’t as good as many on our server think we are, and the fair weather players that got us a huge win last week will go back to PvE for a week. I say this with malice toward none…it’s just how it goes.

Like always real life keeps me away at reset, until late. Anvil Rock keep the lights on for me!

I’m actually really pleased with the fight as it is. GoM moving up a tier is definitely scary to everyone considering how much of a PvE server we’ve become. You guys really put up a good fight.

NSP – That was a dirty move spawn camping us in EB at reset. Nice try though. Keep zerging it up. 50 defending a supply camp was pretty funny to see. Especially when we went to attack it and the moment I hit the quartermaster 50 of you rendered in and destroyed our group of 15 + 5 golems. I think I’ll enjoy this week.

AR – what happened? I haven’t seen a single humongous zerg from you guys! The one large group I did see let 5 of us stop you from taking Umberglade. Come on, guys. I expect a better fight out of you.

Happy trails to everyone. Maybe at the end of this we can all cease fire and have a massive tonic party. Cheers to all.

Considering i just started this game with my brother last saturday im stoked about the resets. Again, one more thing ive found that they improved upon from DAOC.

AR’s ASL and SOS were in Northern Shiverpeak Borderlands at start, Ferrum.

All I have to say in this thread is if you see a Norther Shiverpeak Invader with the guild tag [War] and he has Sunrise, then you better tuck tail and run.

There’s a chapter left on AR that doesn’t include the “core” group….AR original residents that wanted to stay on AR.

Happy to see your face again AR, I hope Kodiak is right and it stays challenging all week long, regardless of the outcome we all love good fights!

Commander Niniyl here from GoM. I was in EB most of the night. Overall, my own server surprised me. We maintained numbers, we defended stuff, and generally we played better than we have in weeks. It is quite encouraging to see us learning. Lets keep it up!

It has been a fun battle. We didn’t see too much of AR, but we preferred it that way. We even launched several attacks to distract NSP so AR could regain its foothold, because we really needed NSP not to give us their undivided attention.

Wow did the reset suck. Not only we did lose all the defensive siege on our keep (and we had a ton because we knew NSP would come for us eventually). But then apparently NSP downloaded the patch way faster, because they had 40 people knocking down our doors before most of us had logged back in. Does the [OS] guild have some magic patch downloading voodoo I should know about? It looks like NSP flattened AR the same way too, (based solely on watching the map, I was not there). I don’t blame NSP for taking advantage of the situation, but stuff like this should not happen.

I fully expect us to end up in third, but if we keep fighting like this, GoM has a lot to be proud of.

Aaaand NSP just exploit took AR garrison… Didn’t take long.

Ok man enough with this so called non exsitant spawn camping claim. " YOU CAN NOT SPAWN CAMP IN WVW" there is 2 other ways out of your WP area . ITS not spawn camping if you have other ways out for 1 and 2 your not spawning and intantly dieing. So again there is NO SPAWN camping in WVW.

Just to make this painfully clear: I have no intention of reporting you guys, or getting you banned.

That said, you guys might want to be careful with your third-party patching system. It is clearly giving you an in-game advantage, and that is specifically the type of third-party programs that are banned.

I love fighting strong opponents, because that is how we learn. GoM has learned so much from fighting stronger opponents. See you on the battle field.

Some epic SM Castle defense by NS if I do say so. getting attacked by both servers at the same time even. At one point Anvil zerg busts through the second gate to be greeted by some serious throne-room hallway AoE and ballistas, gets pushed all the way out and wipes.

Too bad having SM doesn’t mean we’re winning. Maybe you two should focus on taking eachother’s junk instead of ramming your heads against SM?

Just wiped AR finally at Bay lord room after everything else was taken. You guys should really pay attention to them AC’s. But thanks for the loot. Good fight so far :)

Hawt golem on golem action.

Last night defending Hills in NSP was a blast. SoS thought we had every inch of that place covered with counter siege, but they finally found a spot we did not have covered, and put up trebs.

I was the thief who kept killing your trebs, and escaping, but eventually you had so many people around the trebs, you killed me. I gave it a second try, and you killed me, so I started helping the guild look for a good placement for a Catapult, or Treb we could throw up fast.

Once we pushed you out, we did not expect a Golem army. Those doors melted FAST. But that freed us up to follow the zerg, and take most of your borderlands.

Thanks for a fun night. Now if I can just get over this freaking cold.

Out number us and you build siege weapons too? 2 ballistas, arrow cart and trying to get a cata up also. Really?

Match seems pretty good so far. Things are going much better for Gates of Madness than the last time we fought Anvil Rock (probably because Northern Shiverpeaks is putting out a lotta pressure everywhere, haha). Also had a couple fun breakout events.

So far this has been a fun match on the AR side of things. Lots of fun fights, and very little trolling on the forums too(trolls, you know who you are, remain under your bridges)! This looks like it’s going to be a very fun week.
