I thought that Dolyak was lost during the norns’ flight south, and was assumed to have been devoured by Jormag? Ox hasn’t had a havroun for quite some time (and likely won’t again).

It’s the lack of clear warning that is irritating. We knew it was going to be today… but c’mon, are we seriously supposed to sit around after reset and not do anything while we wait for the patch?

So, we start getting things done… and poof! Back to LA with us. Then Poof! again, back to desktop to download limited-time content patch that I couldn’t care less about…

Irritating, but not as rage-worthy as some of the posts I’ve seen >.>

Mesmer Portal. The Mesmer utility skill Portal now has a maximum # of times it can be used before it disappears. This means that 1 Mesmer can no longer send an infinite # of allies through a portal. The current # is 20, which may come down more later. We still want the Mesmers to feel cool for having such a powerful ability, but we also want to put a limit on the # of players a defending team needs to worry about coming out of 1 Mesmer Portal, especially in WvW.

No one is in WvW right now. And when we were, we were in CDBL in two different groups that came together occasionally.

You may have ran into us and ULTD at the same time….bad for you lol.

What in the kitten are you talking about? There was no one in GODS apart of what happened last night.

And we don’t zerg, haven’t zerged in quite a while. Get your facts straight before spouting nonsense. The only time you’ll see more than 15 people in any specific area, is because we need that many to take on the massive zergs we see in specific areas of the map. And even then there usually is coordination between the two teams. If we get rolled a time or two and know we just need more people – obviously we are going to get more.

To whoever was the thief and ranger i just fought in CD borderlands at the thunder temple w/ the krait, that was fun, we should do it again. I was the ele.

Any score updates with maps please? Another 1hr before I return home and jump into the game!

So TC and CD can’t win against FA alone so they need to work together….how cute,

you guys got 3rd place last week, i don’t think we need help.

Game of Thrones (by Elite Slasher)

After giving it a thought this is what happened between FA/CD/TC last week. On a weekend FA knew TC had strength in numbers so they sign a pact with CD to double team TC and almost completely remove them from maps. TC gets mad and somehow manages to get FA and CD to fight each other. But the score is still close and TC freaks out when they see how much rating they will loose. So they have to act fast and swift. Emergency server-wide commander and guild meeting is called. They knew CD would be easier to attack at off peak but FA had some good defense. They come up with a master plan. Make “A Dolyak Peace Walk” between 3 servers but send a tons of people to FA and create 2 Guilds. One of them is Purple Dragons. The Event starts peacefully then all of the sudden gets ambushed by a zerg of evil FA who are there to kill everything they see moving. What a tragedy for both TC and CD. Now they have to retaliate in vengeance. They decide to team up and wipe FA how dare they to ruin a peaceful Dolyak Walk. Both CD and TC are happy and CD goes to bed thinking everything is over now. But TC is not done yet they need to bring rating up. There is not way the match would be that close. They are “out for blood”. They attack CD in full force and nothing can stop them. They manage to take everything on all map and take a lot of screenshots. What an accomplishment we stayed late today drinking red bulls and making sure FA and CD are totally annihilated and give up next week. Now its time to start a drama in FA and flood forums with a bunch of bullying comments and bragging. Also try to start an inner panic in FA. TC is the best because they managed to take all 4 maps. But TC is not done avenging yet 1 or 2 people from evil FA guild Purple Dragons (who never been heard of before even on FA) keep flooding all forums with Yaks Hunting comments and hate. We may outnumber enemy on every map but we need more people in WvW in TC. The only way to pull PvErs here to come to WvW is to spam LA chat with conversations how FA dared to kill off peaceful Dolyaks. This week TC is going to go in full force and try to dominate everything but not overdo it and pull up to tier 2. All because in tier 2 they cant bragg about Golem Gods and only thing forums are filled with is crying comments from TC. Well anyways I can go on but this story already getting long.

Wish everyone luck this week. Hope to see some good fights. Bring on the fun!

If you didn’t have the ire of the cool spectrum I’d say you were missing out on the easy presents laps you can do around the demon lake and south camp. I made like twenty gold today with a lucky present box and some of my guildies has found way blingier stuff than that.

Not “mad”. Frustrated is a better word.

Frustrated that much of FA is too short sighted and timid to make the strategic decisions necessary to really make these week long battles interesting. The idea that you have “no idea what I’m referring to” isn’t a huge surprise to be honest.

Eitherway, don’t worry FA is too busy with Wintersday to have a relevant presence in WvW this week. We just don’t have the population to do both.

TC already stated they would be using the Wintersday excuse last week, need to think up a new one. Could just go with an old-fashioned “Other servers are mindless zerg with no tactics that only win because of numbers”. Or you might go with “CD and TC are are just teaming up on us because we killed a dolyak”.

I saw breakout as being mostly for lower tiers where they actually give up against hugely stronger servers (like they get 2 or 3 times your score, not just several thousand points ahead of you.)

Nice to see FA having some activity in CDBL though. Maybe the other guilds can learn how to defend stuff during this ez mode week.

Oh no worries, that guy on the ballista was annoying, but I took care of it >:D
Though I had to run into guys and die a couple of times and do nothing to prove I meant no harm, it was still fun to see how our zergs made a peace pact with fireworks hehe

Hey, FA finally got a whole server of people back on. Well done guys, I haven’t seen this kind of culling to stop just KH from doing things since before we dipped into T4.

I think you have the wrong guild.

We don’t like PvDoor – we prefer open field combat!

Unfortunately we were outnumbered by quite a bit and couldn’t quite keep the combat out in the open

It was still fun though. It was nice to fight a decent FA squad and not just run around killing lowbies all night.

The wasn’t much vs gate action going on. We’d been running around trying to get yaks from the three camps into the hills keep for a waypoint for a good while and then lol’d on the vulnerable trebs in the east tower before setting up our own to clear the breakout commander.

What actually happened was that we popped into CDBL for a bit to take the bay keep. Without anything significant to do there and TC turning in for the night we got to face the entire holiday population of FA all on that map.

They got their map back but did you see that sea of reds laying on the ground in my pic? The FA laying there didn’t need any real skill at counting to see how few players it took to convert them into loot bags during that inept attempt on the tower.

Last night, I appeared as a peace moose in the bridge of the ruins in the south of FA BL. Also, I appeared as a miniature Wintersday dolyak, assisted the Duelers behind the mill, and frolicked in front of Redbriar as FA sieged it back from TC.

Dolyak burgers om nom nom. I am STILL ticked that it took forever for a dolyak to move when we had two places for it to go. Cattle prod didn’t work. Begging it didn’t work NOTHING.

You are the best engineer I’ve ever seen, and I would love for you to tell me your build. I personally have no trouble pwning engineers, but you put up a huge fight, and got me (even though I started the fight by losing 95% of my health from falling damage )

Well, TC will probably have only 60% their normal presence during the start of Wintersday. So now’s the best chance either underdog has had to take the lead. Go go go!

For some reason all three servers have been doing weird dueling rituals in the JP. This is absolutely fine by me and is a refreshing change of pace from the arena camping we all do.

Have to commend CD players at Faithleap who bowed instead of laughed after they took our small group out. Was refreshing to see. Thank you for setting the example.

I dont see why your complaining… every server does it. me personally i dont emote only if it was a fair 1v1 fight (Bow/Cheer). however i can count the times on my hands ive been killed 5 v 1 and i still get emoted when im dead. Sure it might be distasteful but if you dont like it just respawn.

Thanks for your two cents.

Every server does it. I use the Bow, Salute, Cheer and Laugh emotes personally.

Cheer for when we take a camp or tower after a long battle for it.

Bow/Salute for those small 1v1 or 2v2 fights and are victorious.

Laugh only if something actually caused me to laugh. Not when defeating another player, but rather if they’ve done something funny or extremely stupid. Trying to escape a fight by jumping off a cliff causing yourself to die, for example.

At any rate, things look good out there. I thought we’d have a larger population change with the Wintersday event but, maybe it’s still early. Happy Hunting!
