My favorite encounter with Bunzy was while I am leading us in taking stuff on one of the Borderlands a few matches ago and its was Thursday day. We have taken at least 3 towers and flipping supply camps, then a while Bunzy appears. “y r u guis doing anything, reset is tmw this is pointless” (Just so happened that we were in the same matchup/servers even after reset, at this point reset meant nothing other than resetting T3’s)
Maguuma trolled Bunzy so hard he raged into oblivion. Bunzy complained in chat while we took stuff on a Thursday, simply because it was reset the next day and Bunzy has never been involved in a Tower/Supply camp/Keep capture because its below his greatness. Bunzy implied we are worthless, we should logout, uninstall gw2, and never touch the game again for wasting time before a reset “there is no point with reset tmw” (on a Thursday 2pm eastern). Maguuma continued to capture and take more on that BL regardless of Bunzy whining.

I fully support your endeavor to get more good EBay guilds on Maguuma (not pk). I think the best way to accomplish this is for you to transfer to EBay, Bunzy. Plz do it for the realm.

Guildie told me that next week EB is moving to a different tier and YB is staying in the same one with us. Losing the best server I’ve had the pleasure to fight, and keeping the worst. Sad times.
I don’t know how much ranking point progression goes, but the predicted matchup does not say that at all. There are still two days and an 18 point ranking point gap between Ehmry and Borlis. Nice zinger, though?

The points difference between YB and FA is currently projected to be <30 (smaller than that between EB and BP). If Mag stops fighting entirely for the last few days you might just manage to move us up to T3 and keep your friends in T4. I’m sure you’d all get on famously with FA too.

Yaks were more fun to fight than FA I found. Mind you it’s been a while.

You should have seen the real golem rush we did yesterday. Shame the server crashed before we could finish it.

YB has had many failed golem rushes, but Ive seen fewer golem attempts from Mag. Please don’t act like that one victory or failure is a testament to how either servers plays to the point that you feel the need to “help.”
Here’s “help”: Mag, when youre trying to take a keep with smaller numbers, try to keep a better control of your supply. I’m seeing a lot of wasted seige that doesnt get built, then you guys run back for supply. This isnt a big deal in large assaults, but when you cant leave a team behind to keep pressure on the defenders because youre so small, it gives us breathing room to resupply, bring reinforcements, and build walls/gates back up.
Its not like we don’t call siege drops before we do it but you know.
We also have people that:
1) buy personnel upgrades during a keep siege.
2) build siege in the wrong place where it is vulnerable to aoe splash.
3) auto attack gates and/or do not have pets turned to passive during stealth ops.
4) do not refresh siege they walk past.
5) do not use cardinal directions in borderlands, thus confusing the hell out of everyone by using the wrong names in the wrong borderland.
6) do not know the difference between east and west.
7) do not know the difference between north and south (!).
8) do not replace party members that have left the game resulting in their party being incapable of doing anything.
9) talk an unbelievable amount of trash on the official forums and then are rarely seen in game.
10) ruin voice comm discipline by filling comm space with talk about thief builds so nobody can relay pertinent information about whats going on in the game.
11) take supply from a supply camp after someone else has said in team chat (multiple times) that they intend to upgrade it.
12) relay instructions and directions only in voip and not in team chat, so half the people in any given map don’t know where half their team is and what they are doing.
This may be an amazing revelation but…we have newbies too. We also have good players that still need to learn a few things or have developed bad habits that need fixing. Shocking I know…
People are complaining about those who choose not to waste their gold on trying to stay in 2nd place? Really? LOL. You need a roaming group if you’re ever going to get any pvp worth mentioning.
Things Maguuma cares about: Killing people. Making the other teams look bad by out-smarting them, or screenshotting them doing something terrible. Mastering defense when we have 100 players vs 10 of us.
Things Maguuma doesn’t care about: WvW. We have a lot of regulars, but most of the server doesn’t play WvW. We don’t care about first place after playing the same team for weeks and realizing after the first 30 mins how grossly out-numbered we are. I, personally, don’t care if I die 20 times in a row face-planting into enemy siege, as long as it goes down. I don’t care if it takes 2 hours to repair a wall, I’m repairing it until it’s finished.
Newbies or not, I expect better from groups with commanders in them. Though after all those problems you listed, sounds like even with a decent commander, the odds are against you.
Ebay and Mag decided to team up and only fight us Yak’s last night on EBBL. Good times.
Oh, we also ninja’d Ebay’s Bay Keep last night with 5 people and a flame ram. Twice.

Maguuma was there first. So if anything EBay and YB double teamed us since we were pretty much razing the place. In BLs it is more like you fight who you bump into than conspire with anyone else.
The last thing I saw before I took off last night was YB fleeing East Keep after trying to rush it with golems that we knew about way beforehand. Not sure what YB’s thinking was there.

YB isn’t immune to this either dude. You guys leave builds sites everywhere as well.
Also, Yaks and Mag were teaming up on EBay last night in EBay borderlands. Pushed them right off the map. Double teams happen constantly and the servers doing it change constantly depending on the borderland and situation. Welcome to 3 team warfare.

Things have been interesting at times. For example: Blue held SW tower (from breakout event) on green BL. And green was trying to take the tower back. All of sudden, red showed up from the bridge / vista island, and attacked green’s people and their sieges, to prevent green taking blue’s tower. Green kept pushing red away but they kept coming back.
I guess red team was just bored and wanted in the fun…Honestly though, red could have gone offensive on blue and gain more points since blue was so focused on green. Isnt it easier to catch up to blue, rather than green?
I’m talking about the breakout event at Briar where ebay held Briar and Maguuma showed up, hung out by the water/bridge. But good times.

We took Bluebriar real quick but end up ditching it to focus on Yaks around Lake. Too good of a zerg fight to pass up.
But the notion that Mag and Ebay teaming up, or just the fact that anyone think we’re in cahoots with us Ebays is ridiculous lol. Look at Eternal! But we did wipe a mag zerg i think in front of some Yaks, but that really comes down to whos more in reach of my sword lool

That’s the more reason why EB should focus on Mag instead of Yaks, i.e.: if EB plays to win. It just makes sense.

Meh..i am just talking sense. Logic says it’s in red’s advantage to take on blue, instead of green. what’s there to lose? they gain points and have fun at the same time.
There’s no logic in fighting the weakest enemy when another army outnumbers the other two teams. When the other team gets beaten off, and go back to PvE because they got stomped so hard, that just leaves your own team to fend off the entire force of the larger army.

But then sometimes logic fails.
Yes, but by that time, red should already gain enough points to bypass blue and if they keep doing that, they stay ahead of blue.
Say if red and blue attack green and red is the weakest of the 3. Green will be overwhelmed and lose points. When that happens, guess what the next step for green after getting back some of their own towers/ keeps will be? They will go for the weakest of the 3 (red) to gain more points to re-gain the points they lost before.
It’s been shown that way multiple times during this match up. So if red is not so tunnel vision and see the bigger picture, they’ll get it.
Sounds more like YB is tunnel visioned if they keep hitting red, but are worried about blue.
Care to elaborate? what you are saying does not make any sense. how is YB tunnel vision when we go for tactical benefit to re-gain points? If you look at the points, there were many times where YB had lowest potential points but YB was able to re-gain them at the expense of the red.
This is what the data points showed. Where is yours?
This entire argument about who to attack while you’re losing is like 50% of why Ehmry hates Maguuma. The other 50% is because we supposedly maliciously hacked their garrison in our first match. And the other 50% is because lol goons.

Aren’t you missing the point? Blue is a bigger enemy. As I mentioned in another post, when Mag comes back with a number, they are a formidable force. It’s undeniable. It only makes sense to re-gain points as quickly as possible. The only way to do that is to re-gain them at the expense of red. If green had gone for blue, it would take more time and more points / time will be lost. How is this difficult to understand? We are not talking math either, sparky.
