also, honestly speaking, it’s not like green had not tried to re-gain more points by attacking blue at blue BL. I’ll have to give prop to blue as green rarely went beyond SE tower and EAST keep (rarely), on blue BL.

Personally, I’d feel better if we go for blue all the time but I am no commander. It’s just way of life when ppl go for the weakest link.

If Mag does anything well, it’s defend our own BL. East keep specifically.

Just an aside here, and this can be applied to any game.

If you look around and find that your frustration level is so high that it impedes on your ability to have fun. STOP. Turn off the game, go watch your favorite Dexter episode or something. Don’t take it out on the people in chat or mumble. This is especially true if your leading. You lose your cool, and not only is your fun over, but anyone who was following you will quickly lose interest. You don’t like babysitting casual players, then you’re in the wrong game. It must be done every time, because in general, they won’t learn. And why should they. This is a GAME after all.

When I hear yelling, demeaning language, or a serious level of frustration in chat, I leave. I wonder how many others feel the same way.

So yesterday a bunch of us were really bored, since we didnt have much to do after Mags golem rush which took Bay but failed at garisson. EB started having presnce in YBBL [FTF], being sick of these guys always coming to our BL we said screw it and go to EBBL. We Ninja’d Bay. Then decided to build golems cause we dont like to work too hard. This was the outcome

Main reason we did it was we were really kitten off red coming to our BL constantly, when you attack a team with greater force than you, you are only making your elevation to go down and asking for a fight. Think smart. We’ve had your Overlook in eb for pasr 3-4 days lol. What the hell. If attacking YBBL and eb isnt effective attack Mags BL lol. You have a strong oceanic presence which clearly hasn’t made you better but worse. Clearly Mag is taking advantage of your borderland as they always have your hills keep. Hang in there though don’t give up.

We took Bluebriar real quick but end up ditching it to focus on Yaks around Lake. Too good of a zerg fight to pass up.

Pretty sure you ended up ditching it because I parked my mes there, killed some crappy PURG guardian who I guess didn’t alert the rest of the realm, then ported 5 people in to take it while there were several of you sitting around in the tower.

Great work doing nothing instead of pushing east keep and getting both you and Maguuma extra points on the board at the sake of YB. EBay sure can complain about 2v1s but never seems to take the opportunity to 2v1 another server when it arises.

Well we’ve got a fairly large WvW presence, but we aren’t all the same. You get ur emotionally sensative hardcores just like anywhere else.

Some of us are just in it for the intense battles, the zerg battlers. We die sometimes, sure, almost always outnumbered. And in the middle of the night i just wanna have fun. I dont wanna sneak around an enemy BL and cap stuff until they bring their 50man zerg to rush us.

And come on, dont tell me it isnt awesome to see blue and green dukeing it out for a while… only to have red coming in charging like the Mongols and clean up the battlefield for a couple minutes.

I dont speak for everyone in WvW or the Ehmry Bay Server. Just some of the [FTF].

On a side note however… I’ll be setting up Fight Club for tonight. Im on from 6:30 PST, msg me with your server, if you’ll be bringing others or not (or coming with a guild), and i’ll set up a safe-ish stop to fight

I just find it hilarious that you guys care so much about the server thats getting 2v1’d. And im not even complaining, i like it when enemies are abundant. I just dont like going up against fortified walls at 1 in the morning

The big problem in this matchup is really obvious. Neither Ebay or Mags can field full strength teams in 1 borderland + eternal.

YB can. Their eternal crowd is honestly rabid.

They weren’t even temporary allegiances. No teaming up. There was something we wanted to cap and we could no longer do it. So we capped something else.

That rush on Ebay BL yesterday was opportunism. We didn’t team up with any server. The original target was Garrison in YB BL but Ebay made it impossible for us to advance beyond west keep because they capped NE Tower and moved on Garrison. Anyone who plays borderlands frequently knows that is a horrible place to be in if you are attacking West Keep.

NE Tower is a safe treb on Garrison. Garrison is a safe treb on West Keep. If we had taken West Keep, Ebay could and should have golem rushed Garrison when YB was fully committed to defending West Keep inner. And if Ebay commanders were smart they would have wanted Maguuma to win at West Keep inner because the upgrades would reset and Ebay could treb the walls down 10x faster from Garrison cliffs.

So yeah that was a pretty rubbish position to be in strategically. Good thing we noticed it because we completely disengaged from West Keep, allowing YB to fully defend their Garrison and take back their North East Tower with no pressure from us.

Then we scouted Ebay BL. My team followed 2x hapless commanders and 6 random players (with tags I haven’t seen on Ebay before like [GODZ]) in order to pick up map movements and test reactions by fake contesting towers, waypoints and fake supply camp raids.

After about half an hour we decided Ebay BL was a soft target and built 4 golems using supply ported in from YB BL and then Maguuma BL, mapped portal routes, waited for Ebay to fully commit to East Keep inner defence in YB BL and then rushed their entire borderland taking the following:

Upgraded South East Tower (tier 1 walls, non reinforced gate)
South East Supply
South Supply
Fully upgraded Garrison
Fully upgraded East Keep
North West Supply
North Supply
Fully upgraded North East Tower

in the space of 2 ticks. Then the server crashed and we lost all of our golems, garrison trebs, all other siege and nearly half of our players.

YB had already piled into Ebay BL midway through our rush. That was alot of fully upgraded stuff that just turned to wood and paper and alot of soft targets for YB to turn green, but it was Ebay that turned it red. Ebay had the most advantageous spawn location to do that plus a safe treb from a still fully upgraded NW tower on Garrison. It was inevitable really.

We dont double team anyone. We look for and strike at weak points. The big problem in this matchup is really obvious. Neither Ebay or Mags can field full strength teams in 1 borderland + eternal.

That was a frustrating rush. Annoying to have the siege necessary to counter a golem rush only to be negated by Ele’s swirling winds.

Just misunderstood my wording, or I failed to express it properly. The important part of the sentence was that what seems like some alliance against whatever server is really just the other servers taking advantage of an obvious weakness in a particular enemy. Which is the nature of 3 team battles, and will continually ebb and flow based on those different situations.

Of course you can if you have their gamer tag. Though that is not possible in WvW as far as I know…but if you do the invite in a PvE overflow….could be.

It really depends on the time. That’s why when YB is ganged up, YB will have to choose the weaker one to push.

I agree mayhem is fun, though. I remember at one time, EB took YB’s garrison. Mag tried to take it from EB and managed to get into lord’s room. YB took that chance to rush all the way in and “snatched” it from Mag, before it’s flipped.

Yeah, I was there for that. Foiled again.

But if i had to make an explaination for Ehmrys disapperance in WvW. I’d just say we’re tired :/

We have 2 groups. Our Siegers and our Slayers. Not that they dont do a bit of everything but there are players (like the one that frequent these forums) that are very siege and objective focused players. And i respect that!

Our serious siegers have gotten tried. Too keep up with the higher populations of CD and YB (and even Mag can usually bring a bigger force then us) those siegers have been putting on a 110%, and god bless em for it! But eventually everyone gets burned out. And they did. And they deserve a nice break We’ll be back. Weekends are usually good for us.

Then theres the bloodthirsty side of Ehmry Bay. Where we love to just battle. Can’t spell Slaughter without Laughter am i right? We’re usually supporting the siegers (grabing their backs, holding the lines or running supplies) but without them we’ll just go roam your borderlands and cause trouble. Wipe your zergs and push you back to keeps and siege, then feign weakness and bait you back to try and farm you some more. And plus, it frustrates the hell outta you guys to have EB come up from outta no where.

Theres even a picture up of a Mag Commander telling us, Ebay, to go attack YB somewhere else… I mean we LOL at that kinda stuff. I mean come on now… Your complaining to the enemy because they’re doing something you wouldnt expect, even if it isnt “productive”.

I would love this, if only to flip the green side of the map in EB. I mean, seriously, has anyone ever seen that part of the map not constantly green (apart from maybe that one supply camp in the corner).

I know you guys have a solid crew in Eternal for most of the day. And you can sort of defend your own BL. It seems like YB tunnel visions Eternal because your garrison and keeps in YBBL does get flipped with some frequency.

Last night in EBBL, by the time you guys came I would fathom about 20 people from Maguuma had logged off. I logged off when you guys first attempted to rush East Keep with golems. It was 4am or so. I know you guys had around 30ish in EBBL at that time.

YB seems to have a lot better coverage than EB or Mag. Which is fair. I see you guys try to recruit. Never seen that from Maguuma.

I think that’s a fair assessment. YB’s BL keeps and garrison are flipped way too often. There are certain times in the day where YB may have enough on BL to defend properly, but not continuously.

Yes, and no.

I think both Ebay and Maguuma can equal out the numbers of YB at times. But with the Wintersday event I think both of us (ebay and mag) have less reliable numbers than YB.

Overall, I do think it is YB having better coverage around the clock when it comes down to scores.

But there’s other variables involved. And it is probably shared by all servers in T4. I know on Maguuma there’s a lot of people who do not lay siege to defend towers. And would much rather just pew pew random invaders that pose no real strategic value. Which is fine I guess. Cannot dictate how other players play. Or the infamous grub fetish Maguumans have.

I have enjoyed the WvWs against YB since you guys have been in T4. And don’t think fellow Maggies really need to make excuses for the scores. We could recruit moar, train up or people better, and some other stuff.

It is what it is.

As a result of the two Keeps that were taken using exploits on Yaks Bend Borderlands we are going to focus Ehmry Bay. I have made this agreement with a majority of the Commanders on Yaks Bend, this will be until server reset.

Given the current scores and calculating in SPT (score per tick) Ehmry Bay will only be 10 points above Dragonbrand in ranking upon reset. I’d like to see Ehmry Bay dropped this week into Div. 5.

Dragonbrand’s SPT

As we have no influence over Dragonbrand’s SPT, we will focus on keeping Ehmry Bay’s SPT as low as possible over the next 24 hour period.
