Also Props to SF for keeping up so much pressure.

Its been a remarkable fight and experience learning new tactics and you guys have helped our server grow stronger. Hopefully everyone is having a great holiday week and having a great deal of fun. (:

Kudos to all those SF folks in Eternal Battlegrounds (i.e. who just got kicked due to the new build) who helped retake our little corner of the map. And thanks to GoM for bringing the awesome battles.

Loving this match-up. Good fit and lots of positive folks on all sides of the battle. Keep up the good work and fun everyone!

i hope someone from a.net reads this thread. maybe then they will change some things with the match making system to allow for more servers to fight this evenly. It would definitely help the game if we had more threads where instead of complaining “you outnumber us” or “you guys aren’t that good” there is more like what we have here which is a bunch of giving props to other servers and being friendly even among enemies.

I am all for the Christmas spirit, and the sharing spirit. But who the heck thought sharing our keep with SF was a good idea??

I couldn’t resist coming here to make a post… I am so excited.

This is by far one of the best matchup I have ever played. I made a new toon on Saturday and has been doing nothing but www since. He is at level 40 now with 220 tokens earned.

so SM is under siege right now by both SF and us (HoD)…wow the lag…we are all in the lords room, including GoM, with a pretty sizeable zerg. I cant even use my skills due to the lag, and my shortbow is shooting slower than my longbow normally does…

Follow the zerg to hit supply camps and small tower. Do not play defense at all. When you see something is not going to happen, bail asap lol.

40 to 50 tokens per day is very easy.

leaving SM and sieging it again later means taking the walls and gate down yet again, and it was pretty much a “i’m gonna log soon so i might as well help them with the siege”
also I heard GoM doesn’t want us in SM so they can repair it all and siege it up again.

That battle in SM was epic. All 3 servers in one spot.

GoM and SF are a bunch of bullies. All I want to do is run around, kill Doylaks, take camps and dance, but you all have the “see red its dead” syndrome. I had to pull out my Hacksaw Jim Duggan 2×4 and launch a few from heights yesterday for kills. Can’t a thief just go about their business and be left alone?
I had a fun time last night being an annoyance, looking forward to some more tonight!

I think much of it has to do with the people on the servers, this match is so competitive you would expect more trash talking. Makes me dislike DR even more for all their trash talk even when they were winning by hundreds of thousands of points.

Nope, no trash talk here. Most of the loudmouths from our server jumped ship for easier rides long ago. Those of us who are left just love the fight. It seems SF and HoD are both in a similar situation.

I guess that’s one upside to all the free transfers.

I can’t speak for my server (one person does not a server make), but I personally prefer keeping things friendly here on the forums and saving the PvP for the battlefield. It’s been a good, fun ‘n friendly match this week and I’m looking forward to continuing the fun next week.

Big ups to SF for the stellar fights in GoM BL tonight. We had some brand new players trying out WvW for the first time on our chat. Before we could even explain to them how anything worked, you guys started pushing hard on both hills and bay at the same time (golem + players at hills, double treb + players at bay).

Two or three hours of intense back-and-forth fighting later, we were finally able to push you back and reclaim our southern towers. In that span, those new players were able to use siege equipment on both defense and offense, got a major crash course in the importance of upgrades and supply, and experienced one of the most fun fights I’ve seen since launch. Needless to say, they had the time of their lives. Kinda hits right in the feels to see them get so excited about it in the chat.

So, thanks for showing our newbies some WvW action at its finest. I hope we can repay that favor and give you the kind of fights that’ll keep your new players coming back for more.

Good work today. Thanks for those who were with me when taking everything in EB. Now that we have made EB green ill enjoy my sleep. Keep up the good fights and hope reset be the same interesting match! Props to Sf and HoD for making it close as possible!

I have had a great time this week had some really epic battles in the GoM BL SF and HoD really put up a fight I can just hope for more matches like this kudo’s to all for the awesome battles and sportsmanship

Thats so funny. I was the one on SF that lead that charge into your borderlands. SF had a blast too. I was amused with how many GoM got pulled into borderlands to deal with us, but in the end you kicked us right back out.

All in all I am very proud of SF this fight. We took the kicking from Devona and fueled our resolve for this fight. Aside from thursday morning onward when we lost a ton of steam, we kept it nearly tied up. I also must say, besides a few bad apples (theres always that one guy thats gotta dance on your corpse) GoM and HoD were pretty kind when being stomped, and when doing the stomping in return.

Our 2nd match isn’t as even, SF seems to be losing more steam….

Glad to see everyone is enjoying their holiday week with family and friends. It has been a great 2 week fighting against SF and HoD. You guys put up alot of good fights and caught us off guard many times but our server has finally begun to work together alot better now. Hopefully we get to see more action alot before next reset.

Shout out to the HoD that are still trying to put up a fight while we took your EB and BL.
