JQ still ahead. Where is SOS’s homeland again?

Wow. On New Year’s Eve, I played on JQ BL with HzH commander, Ben Sheets, and SoS BL didn’t look like that. We only had one tower on SoS BL (rest was green) and now its mostly blue with some red, but no green (obviously it could be different now since this posting). Its interesting how much turnaround a WvW match can have.

These things change much faster than you realise. I’ve been on and we have nothing we go and take everything. Either we lose a leader, or they gain one. Slowly but surely they regain everything. It’s interesting to spend a very long time in one borderland.

Since SBI has guild ArenaNet on their side, it was time to point out how culling is affecting the game.

You mean Pickup Group [PuG] which has Izzy as a member ? I haven’t seen him in WvW for ages now and no, we as community on SBI don’t get any benefit from having some ANet employees on our server – despite what you think.

All those beatdowns we’re handing out are 100% legit.. As are the beatdowns we receive… haha

not so good on SoS either, being mainly an oceanic server summer holidays has caused everyone to go to the beach. It no fun being outmanned everywhere except EB. We need our good commanders to come back, its too much of a mess atm.

JQ are stomping everyone atm. Even if SBI and SoS teamed up against them I don’t think it would make any difference atm.

War – or in this case a simulation of it – doesn’t stop just because there is a holiday. Your argument is just another variation of the night capping argument in which people blame losing to other servers because the other servers capped their towers and keeps during the night while they were asleep. That line of thinking discredits the work of a lot of people who play in “non prime time” hours. The truth is that JQ has a lot of hard working, dedicated players around the clock and our coverage is just better at the moment. I think the only appropriate response is good job.

There is no discounting that numbers matter in this game BUT, siege placement, scouting, coordination, determination, golem rushing etc all matter as well.

Good showing JQ, you have been out in force all week and playing superbly!

Unless im reading it wrong, isnt he actually defending against people saying JQ only winning is due to the holidays.

Some of the posts have a … dismissive tone … others are cheering on. This is “endless war” (well, weekly war).
Carry on everybody, do the best you can, with what you got. Think big, think bold.

SBI is weaker right now, for reasons known, and JQ seem to have gained 43824389 people out of nowhere. I’d expect JQ to take top spot, depending on how Blackgate do, SBI will probably go to T2 and either collapse or rebuild. SoS… who knows

As soon as we started leading, queues showed up. Not to be mean, but I wish some JQ people would be this enthuastic about WvW when we most need it.

That said, we have some EXTREMELY dedicated commanders that have never quit fighting, cheers to them!

And good luck to SBI, if you go to T2 we’ll be waiting for you to come back.

Yes DC is death chainsaw they have been with us since beta as have our guilds like FdE, FS, HD, KE among others. FOO came to JQ shortly after ET’s fall. But we are glad to have them as they are always helping out in the community and are some of the most respectful people that I’ve ever played with. They log onto maps do their thing and keep things blue while we sleep

Who are you talking about there? DC,FOO,FS,FdE, among our oceanics show up every morning and fight whether you see them or not is an entirely different story but we are glad to have them and want it no other way because we work well together coordinating our efforts to best ensure coverage and try and ensure we give each other upgraded stuff. It’s almost like a competition between our NA and Oceanics as we both play some EU and our respective primetimes.

There’s a couple of guilds I recognize from other servers and other new guilds I never met before from JQ this morning. I thought HGBQ is from SoR.

HGBQ has been on JQ for months. We don’t have huge numbers of new guilds on JQ. We are just getting what we have into WvW plus a few new guilds/folks in the last few weeks.

If you are trying to infer that we are somehow stacked with a ton of new WvW folks this week then I am sorry to dissapoint you. We do have a number of prominent WvW guilds who have changed their tags in the last few weeks as well as some leaders have left and the remaining officers picked up the slack. Maybe thats what you have seen.

Getting close to winning part 2 of my bet.

I’m the leader of HGBQ and we’ve been on JQ since the beginning and we’ve done the third beta on JQ… As we know, there is no other HGBQ on any other server… We are working with every commander on JQ server to win. Our forces into WvW are going stronger and you’ll see more HGBQ on the field in the next couple of week!!

We are proud to be part of this big week and we’ll continue to face the challenge into these fights!!

This makes no sense. It is a major holiday for everyone. Not just people from Jade Quarry. It’s the same holidays for SOS and for SBI.

I don’t think anyone has any right to gloat, and some posts who have been talking trash look like complete idiots. Thankfully, they are in the minority. I commend both SOS and SBI on excellent battles. The truth is we three servers have been battling hard for months on end, and we’ve all earned the right to be in T1.

Having said that, the notion that somehow whoever wins this week is less “earned” is absurd on its face.

Thanks. I refer respectful wins, and respectful competition. Winning one week does not alter the number of weeks we were beat by SOS or SBI. Great competition, good fights, really fun stuff.

I always have and always will play on SoS, but that does not make me dislike any other players soley due to their server choice. There are excellent players on many servers.

When SOS players were complaining about JQ or SBI spies, the only thing at the back of my head was: “well where the hell are SOS MI5?”

I would like to give a shout out to [ACM] Ascalon Marauders for their hard work and continuous dedication in WvW for the past two weeks. Good job sirs. GO JQ!
