Yes, BT scored a decisive victory this week. But they should know, what made them win. Sure, they have very good players and well organised guilds. But they already had those two weeks ago, when they did not win.
Main difference: they defeat the german players, while they are not online. They got enough manpower to steamrole eveything from 3 to 12 a.m. c.e.t. having 9 hours auf 500+ points every 15 mins. They are a challenging enemy, so it’s impossibile to fight them back in our prime time, for they have prime time 24hours a day. Not to say that you are not willing to pay gold for upgrading a keep you know you will lose 3 or 4 hours later, when there are only npcs left to defend it.

You are capable enemys Blacktide, but you had to get reinforcement to beat us while we are asleep/working. Without that, you lost.

Let’s see, how long a server full of wtj and merceneries can sustain weeks of fights against defended keeps of desolation.

And btw. it’s Anets fail that they create servers for specific languages, knowing full well that hardly any non-germen-speaking player will ever join a german server, making it impossibile to match an international server.

It’s not like Anet forced every German to roll on a [DE] server. Those who rolled on a language specific server did so knowing WvW is a 24/7 battle, so I don’t really get why you keep whining about it. Don’t like it? Well, free transfers are still on.

Everybody knew WvW was a 24/7 battle but A.Net announced two ladders, EU and NA. We’re not talking about nightcaping but about full NA guilds moving to EU servers and unbalancing forces.

I guess EU guilds should transfer to NA servers, do some PvDoors and farm karma there. I wonder how NA guilds would react seeing all their efforts reduced to zero by a bunch of europeans in only one hour

I’m not so sure. I believe those guilds will probably soon proclaim how good they are and how much more smart they are, for jumping in before others did, to a winning fully packed and 24h coverage server to reach T1 asap. Its pretty common among WvWvW.

Btw, this match up looks like both germans server kind of gave up, but i hope they recover soon enough.

That’s cute. Nugos/GF/ZD/DZs were the biggest and most feared presence on FSP mostly because of coordination and never giving up. We never gave ourselves that title, it was given to us by other servers. Nugos had come to realize that the last week we were on FSP that there was little to no activity from the other people on the server in WvW which meant that a lot of people would feel like they are carrying the server. FSP hit an all time low during that last week where during prime time we would have outmanned buff on all maps (yes including EB).

We were informed that Blacktide was in need of more presence during prime time so after a long debate we decided to go there. If we were in it for T1 we would have gone to Desolation and face the wrath of insane queues and an even more lopsided WvWvW effort in EU. Right now we feel that Blacktide has a proper presence across 24 hours (we still have some gaps though, especially in the morning around 10 GMT+1).

We (BT) have no Americans tho, and yet I see whining about 24/7 battles in this thread too ^^

Blacktide also started out with an early morning presence, the reinforcements we got were primetime.
However during our first match against the Germans (the one we didn’t win), there was what is now referred to as “the Russian Rumble” happening, with BT and FSP mostly focusing on each other.

By no means am i saying that ER didn’t deserve the win or played bad, they were awesome opponents, but i am saying that it wasn’t really an ordinary match.
Personally, i was really looking forward to see if we would be able to beat Elona in a “proper” matchup, and was disappointed that i wouldnt be able to play much this week due to exams.

I’m sad that they seem to have given up, it could’ve been pretty epic :/

Not whining. Just telling the truth. Yes, its hard to take, but like Deso you missed an option. Maybe in a few months nobody remember.

Ye man, try to rise your drowing hope in strength of ER. The fact is that 2weeks ago there was battle between us(BT) and FSP and you could just take an advantage on it because no one really cared about winning this match up(except ER). 2nd thing – you had something like 2-3 additional days off during week days which made huge difference(same FR servers from t1 and can you see what happens now? Same situation like in our match). Sorry for any grammar or logical issues in my message but was typed from mobile phone in hurry For conclusion – there is only place for international servers in t1 and that’s fact. One country can’t cover all of the time zones with full man power

2 weeks? Has to be the socalled “Herbstferien”: school-vacation. Last week was one day, I think, only in catholic Zones or “States” in Germany, like Bayern (Hint: Munich, Oktoberfest, Bier). And there aren’t so much anymore. Me, I had to take my poor kitten to work, like the most people living in germany.

If you don’t achieve victory by fighting in prime time, perhaps change your warfare methods, or politely admit defeat.

Blacktide was using guerrilla warfare.

When enemy massed forces, Blacktide avoided combat. When enemy was not vigilant, Blacktide attacked.

This tactic is superior to servers who put all they have in 4 hours of “prime time”.

Congrats Blacktide on making it to tier 1 for next week. We will be eagerly awaiting the battles ahead next week.
