It seems JQ is going to play the role of disciplinarian for the foreseeable future.
After seeing all the distasteful comments by some JQ players on here, I hope BG and JQ create a hateful rivalry that drives them both insane, in turn causing their servers to implode causing them both to plummet in the rankings. At which point, Ferguson’s Crossing and a Euro server somehow end up in T1.
They were proving to be at least as strong as the current servers but were pushed out by SOR fighting a dead server.
BG fared well before all of this. BG will only fare better now.

speculation and a bit of a rant on how i am irked with so many people posting about “class” as if they expect an internet forum to be some sort of classy venue, a hub of civility. I wonder if this obsession with “class” is just a holdover from the attitudes many adopted while trying to maintain a public image and recruit for their servers. or perhaps its just a way to name-call and insult others without being moderated.
i have no idea, it could just be my personal peeve and of no concern.
It’s political correctness…everyone’s scared to death to risk hurting someones precious feelings. There is no real chest thumping in this forum because of how heavily it’s moderated. MOST people would do well to thicken their skin a bit.

Please note that only a few people are “Chest-thumping” This does not mean the entire BG community is like this.
I’ll say it again, I’m sure BG will reenter T1 in hopes to give JQ and SoR a good match.

Personally I like other servers members chest thumping in here. Ive noticed when they do this it tends to motivate JQ to silence the servers doing it. This forum and these threads have a huge effect on what happens on the battlefield.
Jade Quarry isn’t the only server that gets motivated by this. That’s why its a bad Idea to ever do it before coming into t1 unless you like getting 2v1. Someone from bg has felt the need to do it twice before, both times ended badly for their servers result.

Will BG be able to beat SoR , that is a question mark in itself. JQ? That is an even bigger question mark. It is unclear what the impact of the transfers is at the moment on BG’s combat potency.

I agree. I only wish we duked it out before SoS imploded since I think our servers were very evenly matched. I think you guys have the upper hand now in regards to euro/aussie hours, but it should still be a great matchup. Um…Jade Quarry has proven it can win Tier 1??? I wouldn’t have thought i’d have to explain that. JQ has been in T1 for longer than any other server in the game. Yes free will but I’m sure the 2000 gold you guys paid to each guild had nothing to do with it. People actually came to JQ before free transfers were closed for our community, the fact that we are #1 just shows how well we work together.

That they can play for second or third for months, I think Blackgate has proven they play to win even when massively out numbered as they were while in T1. People came to Blackgate of their own free will
Yes free will but I’m sure the 2000 gold you guys paid to each guild had nothing to do with it. People actually came to JQ before free transfers were closed for our community, the fact that we are #1 just shows how well we work together.

SoR is quite a bit different now from the SoR you guys fought a while back. Didn’t you get the memo? They’re a very solid server. But underestimate them if you will…and even better, underestimate JQ. Again, when you’ve actually won Tier 1, the bluster will possibly have some validity to it…until then, it’s just nonsense to be honest.

I don’t think coverage was an excuse last time, we didn’t have it, not much you can do about it, but I know it wasn’t JQ that was in your words “steamrolling” BG, it was SoS, JQ just hid and played for second or ran up and waited for a good SoS/BG battle and then scraped up the leftovers, T1 was so boring I think I died about 1/2 as much as I have in T2 because in T2 people actually battle constantly,open field, keeps, towers, camps, water, everywhere. But I’m sure you’re much more fierce now that you have won T1 a couple times so I’ll be sure to be scared and hide in keeps and towers all day like you did while we were in T1

I’ve been a rather rabid WvW player since launch, but I have to say that since SoR got into T1, I’ve been bored to tears. Actually, it’s not so much our being in T1 if I look at it objectively. It’s the change in server mentality.
We have literally a few dozen commanders. It seems I see 2 or 3 new ones every day. Most of them are absolutely awful…. [snip]

Check a couple of pages back. Your forum warriors invaded the thread. I’m not making this up. And it seems to me that the only thing they’ve done is chest thump before your server has even made it back up to Tier 1, lol.

I can dispute that. I was frequently attacked by JQ whenever I was in WvW.
In fact, I can personally attest I have never seen any pact, alliance, truce, treaty, 2v1 or anything since everyone not on my server has done their utmost to kill me everytime they see me.
Well it didn’t happen in EBG and it didn’t happen in BG BL and according to a map check every 15-30 minutes blue never took more than a camp or two on the other BLs. It doesn’t take a verbal pact to play for second not that anyone from BG would know anything about fighting for second but when you completely avoid first for 6 days straight and attack only 3rd in EBG and RedBL, you’re probably not playing for first, ask SBI about it……
