Also, they say they want WvW to be for casuals. Well with the final score being dominated by the server that has more players, the players who still come out and fight are the hardcore ones who love WvW, not the casual players…
I think i need to find a game that has wvwvw for hardcores, oh wait there is one coming to beta in a few weeks!

SoR definitely didn’t last night on all of the maps. But the match is pretty much decided at this point so you lose a few people due to that.

No queue when I logged in at 8pm eastern

I predict ANet will either prolong the WvW updates to the point there there is a mass exodus our they will half kitten it to the point where there is a mass exodus long before JQ or SoR get bored.

Update or not, I think BG moving back into T1 and SoS fading down will help make things a good fight.

Not sure what all the complaining is about. GW2 still has the best RvR (WvW) since DAOC…. and no monthly subscription. Yes the culling is an issue, but it’s something that can be addressed to some degree eventually. I would certainly like to see more WvW focus for GW2.

Took a good look at ESO…. using mouse clicks to attack and block? If the PvP combat system is the same as the PvE combat…. I’ll pass on this one.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with using LMB/RMB to do basic attacks and to block. That’s the equivalent of binding GW2 dodge to RMB and 1 to LMB.

TERA has a combat system that’s on par with GW2 (but is different in various ways) that basically uses that model of keybinds.

Edit:

Warhammer had more or less “almost as good” RvR as GW2’s WvW. The lack of 3-way was a negative, and the whole “endgame city siege” was a pile of garbage for the first half of WAR’s life, but nevertheless the maps, roaming, Warband interface, alliance systems, etc were all superior. Scenarios were also integrated much better than GW2’s sPvP. Last, names. Warhammer had names. GW2 doesn’t have names. That’s basically as bad as Warhammer only having 2 factions in RvR.

Interesting that the gap between SoR and SoS is closing up, SoS have definitely really started to push hard in the last 36 hours, great to see and SoR were certainly bags of fun on JQ BL again last night.

Sad to see AGG and FoE leave. I was hoping for a SoS SoR BG fight, as even as it can get, but I guess that’s never going to happen with SoS having two major guilds shift off their server

Doesn’t sound half bad. All depends on how its handled. If like FEZ Ill be checking it out. If the screen is like TERA then no thanks. Really couldn’t get past not having free mouse movement on my screen while in combat.

nah, the last time SoS took all 4 maps then turned up at the one off event 10 minutes before it ended to claim the loot.

I doubt JQQ ever complained, after HoD then SoS they deserve their time at the top.

I do not see anything flame worthy in Nitejacks post. Sos won for that duration hands down. He is just saying a lot of people sacrificed pve for wvw so we wont go down to t2. Please dont start anything to get this thread closed again. Thank you

I never would have expected SoR to take the place of SoS as the main competition for JQ in WvW.

Don’t get offended, SoR. I don’t mean it like that. I knew you guys were this good. I just didn’t know that with SoS’s resources, they would have this hard of a time.

Now, with the loss of FoE and Agg, a trip to T2 seems to be on tap for them. And hey, that’s what a lot of SoS said they wanted.

Kudos SoR for showing that fighting spirit. When BG comes up, you’ll see that having a second server fully commited to WvW will make your lives easier.

Sad to see you go, SoS. Hope to see you again some day.
