In response to the previous post… (nothing negative intended now)

I think we at FC and ET are just a little sick and tired of “getting our butts handed to us”. we’ve been steam rolled for about 6 months now and it’s really not so easy to “get over ourselves” as you seem to imply. As for JP camping I can’t really comment there since I’ve actually never even done the JP, but as far as zerging is concerned – I don’t think it’s anything we’re not used to, just that there is no escape for us here at the bottom T8, and no promising future in sight neither. As for /dance… ever since I’ve been playing WvW I’ve never been around FC players who danced on corpses. Maybe it’s just the time zone I’m in and the server is very low pop at those times, but even when we got owned by Kaineng, non of them ever danced on our corpeses (again when I was around). Dancing on corpses in my opinion is just childish and proves nothing. If a zerg kills 2 or 3 players, what’s there to gloat about? If any FC dances or camps JP I apologize on their behalf since that’s not being a good sport at all. I know this is “war” and “just a game”, but good manners and respect should be upheld if you expect to be treated the same in return. that’s why ET and FC are lashing out at SF: your bad conduct. (not all players, but too many IMHO)

I also think that when paid transfers was announced, a number of FC and ET (or any other server for that matter) PvEers and part time WvWers transferred to SF just be sure to get world completion and never returned or made the return date in time. Why would they transfer to a high pop server and wait in queue for WvW when they can transfer to SF?(I can kick myself for not taking advantage of free transfers and quickly transferring to Kaineng and back when they owned the entire map). Now, I’m not sure I will ever get 100% map completion…

We’re going to be stuck together for a long, long, long time by the looks of things, so please let’s all just fight our fights. Tap yourself on the back if you think you had a good victory, but don’t rely on bad conduct to insult the other team – we’re all trying our best here I’m sure.

Also, I’m not a supporter of any particular individual (or any particular server, except my own of course ). Just a fan of treating people fairly, keeping these server match threads clean, and saving the fighting for the battlefield. That’s all.

And FilthyRat is correct, the intent of my post was not to be argumentative. Just pointing out my observations from this side of the match, nothing more. If you’re trying to get me riled up to try to hook me into some forum PvP, nice try. Maybe another time.

I think you missed my intent. There is no debate.

It’s very clear that SF got some kind of boom in it’s numbers, and that is why it is winning.

Now, I would like to clear up a social aspect of this that seems to be getting lost somewhere along the way. The reality is, Where that boom came from, No offence but speculation on that is, just that, speculation, we “The other side” don’t really care. I mean you might want to care, as it will affect how well you do in the future if you pull out of T8 and face more serious matches, but, we don’t.

We are content to just make up stories to explain how you are very suddenly brutally out numbering us and leave it at that, since it really does not matter the how or why you can field quadruple the numbers we can field, all that matters is that you are doing now, and could not do it before.

I will say at that at ET, We claim that is it transfers out of respect to you, because if it is transfers, then that would mean your numbers are potentially skilled people who had the brilliance to move to the winning side (some of them are from our world even), but will hopefully stick it out as you move up and are not afraid to fail from time to time, as opposed to being nothing more then sunshine-solders that are finally crawling out of the wood work only because SF is winning.

I have been trying to explain that. The Transfer and Influx claims is a respect thing, It’s a sign we are trying to give you the most respect to explain your growth.

I remember some SFers vocalizing a bit of frustration when we were being spawn camped (as in completely spawn camped on ALL maps) and night capped. But it was usually more looking inward at ourselves and wishing we had those kind of numbers rather than blaming the dominating server. The match threads were still pretty darn friendly and fun and I don’t recall the servers being dominated being so bitter and trying so hard to paint a picture that the dominating server were a bunch of devils.

The match threads for the SF/FC/ET match-up were pretty positive at first when you guys were winning. But when FC started losing, things got really nasty really fast (and things got nasty well before SF’s population boom when the match was still relatively competitive). I get being frustrated, but an indefinitely long match with no end in sight is no excuse for painting the dominating server as bad people. Remember, we’re just as frustrated as you are. Blame the bad maths, not the people who are stuck here as a result.

On that I agree, but that is not reason for SF to be considered a villain, not that it matters, of course we are the enemy, you must kill us on sight. But I see that this “hate” is spreading through the forums, once we fight new enemies, I really hope that you treat your new enemy with respect, I know is frustrating to lose to the same guys over and over, but seriously, what do you want us to do? What can we do to make this better…

[x] not camping JP- Check, but if I am around the JP don’t expect me to /wave, I wont let you pass.

[ ]No zerging I can’t do anything if people wants to play WvW, what am I supposed to tell them? wait guys… count how many of them are… ok about 40? ok, you, you, you and you leave the map… yes just leave the map.
[x]No Exploiting I believe the few exploiters on both sides already quit, they left to another server where their “leetness” were accepted… or banned, yeah I’ll go for they were banned, at least I want to believe that.

What else can we do to make this next weeks more enjoyable for both of us?

Quadruple numbers in the field vs SF?
I highly doubt that figure, but I can’t prove it isn’t true.

Did SF complain when we were getting stomped?
Yes, SF complained. Not a ton, but if it had been 6 weeks, I would guess there would have been a lot more (I see no reason it wouldn’t be equal to what we see from ET and FC).

In short, I suspect there is very little difference in player conduct between the three servers. If we switched the score around and SF was one of the servers getting dominated weekly with no end in sight, we would likely complain a lot more. If ET or FC was the server dominating, they would likely see a rise in PvE players joining the fight.
Let’s keep things in perspective and remember that all three servers have a diverse population or jerks, noobs, skilled players, respectful player, organized and disorganized players.

It’s not about winning. It’s more about the margin and a close match-up. I think most don’t care so much if they win or lose at the end as long as the match is fun. ( can’t be said of the current one ) SF is just another server dominating now, after weeks of the same from Kain and before that similar weeks from Devona. The 2 weeks when all 3 servers had a close score was a beacon of hope ( specially after Kain left this tier ) but got smashed very quickly. This post must have been successful in parts. I’m not going to talk about the conduct on the battlefield which surely doesn’t make the dominating force more lovable. Many familiar faces in WvWvW vanished and know of quite a few who left for good.

Congratulations on snagging Commander Charlie Sheen. Brilliant move. We should have thought of it. You wouldn’t trade a used Gary Busey for him would you? He only wanders off occasionally and typically can be found sitting naked with the centaurs.

Which means, as we all suspected, that SF did get an influx of players, and this also shows that we took a hit to our population at the same time.

While we were denying a population boom back in early January (which was the case back then), nobody is denying that we got an influx of players anymore. We’re most certainly seeing far more folks in WvW now. We got some transfers just before server transfers ended. And we’re seeing more fair weather players coming back. And more PvEers dabbling in WvW. Which of these reasons is the primary reason for our population boom (if any one is actually the main cause), however, has been the source of much debate.

Not really much debate, because the first week January, during your introduction to T8, FC beat you , and in week 2 you took 1st by what could called a close margin.

Come Week 3, and SF started to pull ahead and then week 4 (End of Free Transfers) SF exploded, simply crushing T8.

So, We can very safely conclude at this point, it was a influx of players that is the reason you are winning. If they came from Transfers or Sunshine-Soldiers that went into hiding when you were losing, and then came crawling out of wood work when they discovered they got to be a bully.

Your call on how you want that to be taken. Can’t say I care, but if it is the latter and not the former, they are just going to turn tail when the fighting gets rough again.

But only you know the source of your numbers, I being in ET simply see the result of them.

I agree with some of what you are saying but we cannot “very safely conclude at this point, it was a influx of players that is the reason you are winning.” That is wishful thinking. What we CAN conclude from that is that a WvW population influx is the reason we are stomping you. You can not use any of the reasons you posted to support that that is why we are winning. We won before the influx, we have been crushing since the influx.

Nobody can say why another team wins or loses besides taking and holding more structures/camps which equals more points. A zerg could run around all day killing people and taking objectives but at the end of the day if those are not held for longer than it takes the place to be re-taken then the zergs server would not win. And while the zerg may help stop a place from being re-taken once in a while, there are places on the other side of the map from the zerg that can be taken.

We have a good amount of players that do not run with the zerg. We upgrade/repair/build siege, losing out on most of the badge gathering the zerg tends to do in order to do the little things that really matter in winning these matches. And there have been PLENTY of times I have been in 10 man crews taking structures when the zerg is busy banging its head against DB or garrison or wherever.

Oh, one more quickie before I have to go back to, ughhh, work. Not sure about anyone else but the past few weeks I have only had the queue is full message twice, both times for EB. If we are not hitting our queue number how can we be outnumbering you on every map, all the time?

I understand that our zerg outnumbers your zerg some/most of the time. But zerg on zerg action does not happen all over the map all the time. And if we are not hitting queue for the map, it can not be that bad. Perhaps out zerg is better organized and moved from objective to objective faster because they are doing the right things. I do know that we communicate fairly well, especially lately.

The queue time not a measure to determine if a group is outnumbered or not.
But for sure the out-manned buff is. Which I have seen frequently ( on home BL and BG )

Actually believe it or not, roamers will by far generate more badges than zerg surfers. Countless whine threads about badge earn rates have been started and almost unequivocally by either zerg surfers in green armor or people stuck in the outmoded ‘trinity’ mindset playing support-only builds.

Re: queues — I never see queues except for reset nights, and even then it’s just EB.

Re: outmanned — While Eastern time primetime is a different beast that I almost never get to see, when about 20 of us decide to move from one borderland to the next freshly red or blue borderland during Pacific peak hours, I never see the Outmanned icon on either opposing team until we take one or two keeps. It feels like being dealt those defeats caps out the night of WvW for whoever in Eastern time is staying on a little later.

In fact, last night we held the Western keep on ET’s BLs despite an opposing force of 30-40 inside the outer gate breach and 12 of us inside. I was shocked you guys pulled back. We were all absolutely bewildered because we saw 30-40 incoming, had 10-12 of us here, and dumped all of our supply into lord room siege intending for it to be a ‘last stand’. The mistake you guys made there was building trebs on an opposing wall. If you had built 4 flame rams instead of trebs, you would have had it.

Here is a little shot of what we just played with in multiple areas of EB just before reset. Now whether or not Ferg’s feels like they can do a major come back in such a short time; who knows. Good try guys however there were more than double our numbers in some area’s and they still couldn’t manage to take Bravost from us.

Now this shot maybe just one of those “5 vs 10” fights someone has mentioned above, however it does show that at no point are Ferg’s below zerging on a smaller group than their own.

While I am not going to mock you for a reading fail, I am going to say you wrong me, and you fail to grasp my intentions, but that is an issue on your part. Not mine, or the words I type.

The math is bad, that is why you are still here, Period.

You do only win because of your vastly larger numbers. Period.

You can either accept that with grace, or you can’t. If you can’t, that is not my fault for telling you the reality of the situation, if want to cling to some fantasy that you have skill on your side, then you should apologies, because every friday for the last weeks (The only time ET and FC has any form of Queue, also happens to be when we paint the map red and blue and Green takes the smallest slice of the pie)

That is the reality of things.

If ET had the numbers that SF has, make no mistake I would like a true combatant unapologeticly grind your server to dust alongside the rest of my server mates, no sever would do any different, but I would also have no misgivings about what was going on or the reason I am winning.

If you have anything to apologize for, it is in clinging to some illusion as to why you are winning, like that it involves tactics or skill on your part. You have a larger population,ergo can provide more coverage and field a larger force, ergo, you will win.

Every and any server would have the same identical outcome. You’re not a special snowflake, if the fact that I make that clear hurts your feelings, then I have only to say that the truth hurts.

Otherwise I for one am getting tired of hearing your mistreatment everyone on the forums with your bad mouthing and trolling anyone who is not singing your praise.

Okay. If I’m right, aren’t you guys spawn-trapping Ferg’s in EB? Of course there’s gonna be a number of them there.

SF does this every time when they take over Ferg’s Hill Crossing. Nice try being the victim here, next time use a better screenshot. However correct me if I’m wrong. :/

What are you talking about, we have the same problem with people from SF and ET camping ever JP and ganking our players. Don’t make it seem like our server is the only one that does it.

I am not, I’m telling my personal experience with fergs who I bowed to several times and spoke with who just laughed and continued. I had no issues with SF while in JP they all bowed right back. I’m speaking personally and notice how I said SOME. My whole time in the puzzle all I saw was fergs ganging up on everyone there. So for this personal experience the only ones were fergs. I posted here because I know before we wanted to know ppl camping JP so our server could deal with it, so I did so to post about this guy from SIKE. I was so kitten far in the JP So I was pretty upset since I’m not very good at them lol and no one around to revive me. I know every server has ppl like this so please don’t think I am saying Fergs are the only ones. I have quite a few friends in FC and I’m not that type of person. Just speaking on my personal experience today. I’m not use to running into issues like this, personally had nothing but positive and respectful experiences in the JP, any other time. So this was a new experience for me, and I was just dissapointed. I apologize if it seemed that way, I suppose I should have elaborated in my first post more. So SORRYYYY <3

There was a post from when we first came to this server so not sure why you feel as we should wave turn our backs and then get knocked off the cliff from behind. You guys taught us not be friendly in there with this type of behavior.

And be truthful guys your servers have had a lot of infighting and guilds not working together in WvW…and blaming us for having numbers is getting a little old and silly. The truth of the matter is you have been bleeding members long before we came into the picture.

Copied it to show that people were attacking others in jp and it wasn’t SF that brought this to T8 like some in recent times seem to believe

I’m sure Anet is working on this issue as we speak. I’m sure it’s a bit more complex to solve than we think, so we will have to wait. Even when I’m on the winning side, I’m aware of why we domain, but don’t expect us to stop camping JP or any other location cause it’s part of the game, why do you complain about something that is supposed to happen (don’t tell me devs didn’t contemplate the possibility of players camping in JP)? we won’t quit to the obvious advantage it gives us, and I’m sure you’d be doing the same thing if you were in our position.

As of dancing on corpses, that will allways happens, no matter what server you are in, just ignore it. I’ve seen FC and ET players dance on me when they beat me a number of times, I just respawn, and guess what? to my surprise my honor is still intact =0 (lol) The only thing no one should tolerate are exploits and such.

So basically, just play the game, if you don’t like a situation avoid being part of it and wait till Anet solves the problem, I’m certain they will.
