2 birds with one stone - fix for wvw
also consider that if these servers are willing to pay for whole guild transfers – I’m sure they’d be happy to pay for having a mega que spvp map to hold huge fights that tax the servers. another win / win for arena net – they can make money for selling custom mega matches – and the super zergs can have their fights matched up as they want vs opponents that can gather those numbers – without the pvers eating up their que for achievements. With the best stats / builds they want from the lockers and no que. So that fixes the ascended items problem also. Then add guesting to pve version of wvw, and that fixes the balance problem as well.
you will also likely bring more life to pve – because now hardcore wvw’rs arent locked into a perma build specifically for wvw – I know that prevents me from pve’ng a lot since I tweaked my main just for wvw.
very simple solution – make an spvp version of wvw – and kill the scoring on the current wvw map. Done.

the more i think about this, the more I like it lol – because now events like the grub would mean more in wvw – the grub is ignored in balanced matches as pvp’rs don’t have time to waste on a pve element that doesn’t add to the score. The grub is only something to do in matches where you outnumber your opponents and want something to do after capping the entire map. But it is a pvp’rs dream to sneak up on a crew of pver’s fighting grubs lol. So it could, not only fix a ton of balance problems, but open new avenues of adventures in pve. A pvp/pve version of the zhaitan fight could be interesting to say the least. – but no server score since guesting would be allowed. Even guesting in wvw could change the adventure a great deal…but no score….just the achievement of fighting hard battles to get rare mats and achievements like any other dungeon. – in effect wvw would become a hot join dungeon.

I don’t think so. it makes perfect sense and fixes a ton of issues. It’s just radical.
But the spvp attributes system is horrible. Y would u want to be subjected to it that much?

for the sake of balance, the ascended grind is not great for pvp either. I’d like to be able to experiment with different builds, or change them for that matter to enhance strategy and compliment my current teams build. In effect it would bring the Trinity strategy back – as now we can shift the game by bringing more healing elementalists into the match quickly.

right now, building the strategic teams isn’t as easy as changing characters and gearing up for a specific strategy. It takes a long time to make a level 80 character and get the best stat weapons. so the spvp locker would actually bring that part of the strategy back into play – the rebirth of the iway or necro bomb team – but at a much larger scale.
