Guild Wars 2

I have played GW2 since open weekend betas and I really enjoyed both PVE and WvW.
But for last 2 years I only log into WvW, never really botherd with the living story Anet were putting out.
I really tried to enjoy the x-pack I really did, I did run around in the new WvW map even if I hated It, I really tried all that I could but I cant, ok fine I’ll leave I go to EB.
So I joined EB as I sead in another thread, had somewhat fun but it felt wrong, its the god kitten auto upgrades that ticked me off.
So I feel so alienated, this is not the WvW I joined when the game launched I have no idea what this is but it is not fun at all, Im glad the game is B2P, if it were P2P I would unsub as I write this.

Yea the completely automatic upgrades is one of the major things that ticks me off too. Add in some human interaction to get it going and i might change my opinion a bit. Sad to see this once great mode turned into this kitten hole in one go.

they took away the sandbox part of the wvw game and made everything automated and ai based.

Well upgrades would be better if a human had to interact with an npc to start each upgrade, at no cost for the player.

Now it’s just “flip objective, run off to next” no more unless you need supply..lol

The auto-upgrades are a really poor design decision, just makes the maps a ‘zerg or go home’ place. Extremely frustrating as a roamer/havok player, I mean, why even bother going to the bl’s to spend 40 minutes flipping 2 towers (with zero resistance)? Nonsense.

Possible fix:
3 players must press a button/pull a lever in the objective in order to start an upgrade.

Yeah, it’s pretty much garbage, pretty garbage but still garbage.

honestly i was looking forward to fight all the new specs etc…now everything is so complicated and pve driven…..i just want the old wvw maps and mechanics back. it was sandbox and that is what made wvw wvw…

They’ve also locked small guilds out from being able to claim and place upgrades on anything.

Can’t even stick on a +5, take a camp, claim the camp then go take a tower or keep.

I’m sad too. And this forum just feels like anet is trying to sit it out, till ppl get tired of repeating their good reasons against the changes and the new maps again and again with zero response.
I always loved the large scale pvp. Can’t wait for Crowfall and CU. Anny good ideas for a game with something like WvW?

Wait…. what? That’s the weirdest solution for this problem that I have heard so far… Who would that benefit?

WvW is dead least feels like it you cant rome anymore even in a small group me and two other guild members were trying to play earlier but between the mega blobs of EB..or the bought and payed for OP builds running in packs in the Bls its almost pointless..unless you have HOT Anet just dosent care matter of fact seams they are going out of their way to screw the older players who dont have it and the smaller guilds guilds who actually want to have a guild hall or god forbid claim anything we fought to win in wvw..we all love GW but its getting old real quick I want to play wvw not PVE anet…all you had to do was fix some exploits and take care of some cheats and the old wvw would have been fine but instead you brought out this shiny new one trick pony that not many of the older players even like..but I guess it just dosent matter long as you get new players in…thank you for ruing the game for greed Anet…
