Try deleting your local.dat file in Documents>GW2 folder …. It’s supposed to be for your settings (you’ll have to readjust after) … But for some reason it grows in size daily …. My guildie was having same issues (and crashes) and this fixed it for her. Hope it does for you too.

Yea atm it is… but I’ve lagged hard before in this matchup when it was 8v8 or less… and my comp is always squeaky clean

Hello to all of SOR, TC, and BG. First off I would like to apologize for my less than kind words yesterday, I am truly sorry. The highest priority of myself, and all of ICoa, is to maintain a respectful and fun atmosphere for us all to enjoy playing in. For those who may have missed my previous introduction, I am ICoa’s new Relations Officer. One of my responsibilities is monitoring and responding to posts and messages on the forums regarding ICoa specifically, and Blackgate in general, as we want to uphold a certain presitge, and not just only for ICoa. I would like to thank those who assisted in the enlightenment, accusation, and confirmation of the unfortunate events that occurred 3 weeks ago. With that being said, it was 3 weeks ago so please drop that issue. I would ask for a more mature environment here on the forums. False accusations, things you “may” have seen, and any other form of trolling/flaming should not be taken lightly. Let us work together to make these weekly matchups the best experience possible for everyone involved. By all means, if you have video of ANY Blackgate Defender cheating/hacking/what you will, please contact guild management or post if you feel it necessary. ICoa does NOT condone such acts and does NOT want those types of players representing our guild and would appreciate any assistance in catching anyone involved in such activities. I can no longer count the number of personal guilds my friends use for extra bank space on my fingers and toes, there are so many. True we can watch out for these players, but anyone with half a brain would be constantly changing tags for this very reason.
That and trying to spot a single asura in the middle of combat isn’t easy.
Especially when that asura is a culling abusing thief *cough*Indo*cough*

Maybe his main is a necro, or maybe I’m wrong and it was someone else in his guild. I’ve seen that thief many times in BG BL running with the TW zerg and I assumed it was him.
Either way it was meant as a mild jab at asuran thieves being kitten near impossible to see.
Hugely outnumbered in SoR BG, but some great fights nonetheless – was especially fun taking and holding Vale with a force a fraction the size of the opposition’s…this round is anything but boring.

One of your first posts after publicly announcing you are icoas new public relations officer was to insult and flame people because they accused you of exploiting. There really was no excuse for that, as a public relations officer you have to be able to keep your cool and deal with these kind of things calmly as they will happen often. Having your public relations officer make an angry rant post calling people scurbs and telling them to learn to play damages your guilds rep more than if a random guild member had of made the same post.
If you really want to improve your guilds rep you need to actually do things not just say them. How many times has vodka claimed you guys don’t allow hackers/exploiters in your guild? Too many to count.
Yet when someone posts a vid of an icoa thief doing something they shouldn’t be able to do in game vodka immediately jumps in and tries to defend them. I understand the urge to defend your friends but the only teleport skill that thief might of used was steal, all the other jumps had none of the animations or buffs that go with thief teleport skills. That is a clear warning bell that some thing isn’t right but instead of saying “thank you for bringing this to our attention we’ll look into it” you guys have to jump in and try to defend and justify what your guild mate did which just makes you look bad.
My apologies but one forum post is not likely to change any ones opinion of your guild. If you guys are serious about improving your rep you will actually have to show it not just claim it.

Indos main is a fugly orange necro. You see him a couple of times in the TW vid posted in this thread.
You can change the opponents colors now so that it shows their actual armor dye and not their team color. Makes it easier to spot Indo Who am I kidding, Asura are never easy to spot haha.

How would we report that person if he’s in a structure we can’t enter? If we’re lucky he might show up on the map but that’s about it. Or am I missing something.

To be honest tere proably are cheaters on all sides… but, IF there was a TCer that cheated with pic proof, there are several things we as TC can do, we can ask in team chat, spread the word among all guilds, no one will work with this invidual, and finally if a TCer did this to BG at say “bay” we could spread the word in team chat that no one should attack “bay” for a said time, as reprisal and give back to BG that one of our people have behaved badly, atleast that is what i would suggest to the big guilds… if my side miss behaves, we should colectivly take responsibility and do something about it… cheating shall never ewer pay off !

I do agree with you. However, guilds like the one I rep, Pain Train [Choo] in SoR, should have a strict policy against Exploitation of Glitches/Hacks and any other form of cheating/unfair tactics. We have also submitted tickets to tech support about found glitches. Example: There is a way for a mesmer to port into an ememy Citadel. We were part of a Zerg that used this tactic, All [Choo] members withdrew and insisted that the total Zerg follow suit. The person that used this exploit was then talked to and they will never do it again. This person was not part of our guild. I believe in fair play as do most all of us on SoR, there is no challenge if all you do is cheat.
On a side note, I have to give TC props. You all have improved in WvW a lot since last we were matched up! It’s been a blast for us. Keep up the good work!

Even you’re not intend to derail/flame, it’s in fact a derail in the thread and accusing of expliot which will get this thread lock again like all the other threads previously. And yes Please do, nobody stop you from submit it to arenanet. We, BG guilds are all against all kind of exploits.
The reason anything was posted here at all was to raise awareness so that said exploiters guild(s) could do something – and as someone else noted, it’s possible that someone on the exploiter’s server may or may not know who he is which would make dealing with the issue slightly easier.
That said, I think the issue doesn’t need to be discussed anymore. Everyone’s aware, it’s been posted and reported – let’s just move on.

Ok let me recap you to a simple points:
-We all against all kind of exploits, and will warn/remove guildies that involved.

if i can step into the conversation here for a minute? i think the general consensus from the vast majority of the players on every server i’ve encountered, including my own, is “hacker, exploiters, cheaters = bad and should be banned”. unfortunately, the players can’t do the banning. the most any of us can do is send a report to anet, and then the onus is on them to deal with it. could they be more active about it? without a doubt. is there anything any of the players on any side can do to stop it themselves? very little, and only rarely. pointing fingers at each other isn’t going to solve the problem, and will only breed resentment. which will result only in anger fueled posts, and locked threads.
a simple “i need to speak with a representative of (insert guild name here), can they message me?” while having a screenshot or a video of the action on hand to show them will be a much much smoother experience for all involved. except for the person being displayed in said screenshot or video. they’ll most likely catch a lot of crap. so it’s a win-win situation really.

There’s really nothing you can do about it other than report, trust me. The only thing we can do as players of this MMORPG is to report the hacker as it is in every other MMO we’ve played and let the Company that created the game handle the issue. To go a step further, you can screenshot/frap the person doing it and send it to A-nets email. If you aren’t aware, they actually pay people to handle these sort of issues. Blaming the guild that the hacker is representing in the screenshot is not the way to handle things. Report the problem and PUT IT TO REST; you are a player, not the games developer. Addressing this guild issue further; finding out who the person is that is hacking (which is really tricky), you need to understand that he/she could be in MULTIPLE guilds just like the person in that screenshot is. You cannot blame a single guild for the actions of one person as I have stated before when my guild was accused for hacking. Being apart of a huge guild, it is really hard to track down that single person when you have over 400 active members (ICoa filters out inactives twice every two weeks so we know this for a fact). I have said time and time again for people to PM/Mail me if they see something suspicious going on with ICoa but a few would rather post it up on the forums which is okay (I think) if we did not have a representative active on the forums. This is why I am active on the forums ladies and gentlemen, I want people to know there is someone that they can contact because Imperial Coalition actually cares about Guild Wars 2 and her community. I cannot always guarantee that my guild and I will find the perpetrator (if there is one at all), but we at least want the community to know we put up our best effort. I really hope you will understand the seriousness of my message, this type of flaming kills guilds and makes the game look unattractive. If Imperial Coalition didn’t care so much about Guild Wars 2, a majority of us would have been gone from this game 3 weeks ago which would have added to the already increasing attrition. Good luck finding the hacker though and we hope you all have a wonderful holiday…

All we can do, as players, aside from reporting the issues, is cultivate a social environment wherein cheating is clearly frowned upon and people who cheat are ostracized.

I, for one, would appreciate it if folks would stop dragging this stuff into these threads. It contributes to a toxic atmosphere that then bleeds its way into the game. For me, it damages the experience as much as the exploiting does. So… can we stop?
I agree with you in essence but we can do something… as an example as istated earlier, if we as TC get evidence that one of our did something bad hackish at bay to you, we could spread the word among the commanders and the big guilds, that for 5 hours no hostile actions will be taken against bay, aince cheats were used to destroy their siege… Its a active choise to colectivly fix something that might have made us take something in the wrong way, or if someone takes a tower or keep the wrong way, you can again spread the word among commanders big guilds we are giving this tower keep back without a fight, then party with oposing side, talk to them apologice and say we wont defend this tower keep etc… we can make lists, for example this person in TC with name have been banned for hacking, by us, have it organiced by the big guilds, to my knowledge you cant change a name, so no matter where they go, what ewer server they jump to, everyone will know, aha that is the person TC themself throwed out and toasted as hacker or what ewer… yes we cant ban, but we can try take responsibility as much as possible, i know the big guild commanders in TC have a fairly good comunication between each other… if there is a will there is a way… and personally i dont like to hang out people, but ya, im just pointing to ways we can act !… personally i havent seen much of foul play, and iwe been having a blast, so keep up the great work BG and SoR

How many times do i need to repeat this? We arent sit back. We already posted the exploit against policy, warned the members not to do, and even kicked some if they still keep doing it. Eventhough some got kicked, they still in the server, and will do anything themselves, we have no right to ban their account, only Anet can do. What you expect more from us seriously? Forum flame war? Reputation flamming? Is that what you want?

If you are against all exploits, what is thai’s opinion on alt f4ing? Surely you would be against that kind of silly behaviour?
