I have literally had better fights from ioj up level roamers then anything I’ve seen from dark haven.. Your weekday force must really suck cause you guys are very reminiscent of the mass zerging/pvdooring that SBI did, yet you are in T6.

Also the hacking that happened at NW tower in drbl tonight by 3-4 DH was pretty sad.. As if pvdooring wasn’t boring enough.

Since ive been in wvw i have yet to feel we have been bested in skill/team work by a server as we always seem to get more done with smaller numbers.

Although when we have our momentum going , the pvers come out of the wood work to get their vistas and some wvw experience while not feeling threatened in the open plains. This has been one of our best Sundays i have seen people wise. and im sure with a shortened work week it might keep on rolling.

lastly to answer the person asking About GRIM, Sunday tends to be a day of Rest for alot of our guild. But we had 5 level 10s crushing skulls for a few hours today. But the best way to find one of us GRIM folks…is to check the handle end of the “finish them” Spike stickin out of your head <3

That would really not impress me, sorry. DR has been down to <20 points pretty much every day for three months straight. I bet even a group of 5 people who log on at the right time could do that.

That being said, if you could wipe the group I run with through equal numbers and some skill, then I would tip my hat off to you. We try to maintain mutual respect and a good relationship with people who are worthy opponents. Which is why it’s a bit lame that you guys should choose to /laugh at us when you kill us 3v15 simply because we absolutely massacred you on reset night.

Of course, you might be one of those massive WvW guilds, and if that is the case then it’s obviously not possible to keep track of every member’s actions. I wouldn’t fault you for that.

Free tip… you have better coverage than we do… that’s it… Ill give you credit you zerg back to your bl pretty well when something happens. but that’s about all ive seen.

DH has a hardcore case of fair weather WvW’ers right now. It’s nothing to get upset about I think, but your assertion that you don’t have crazy amounts of people is relative. YOU DO have crazy numbers compared to IoJ and DR. That might not have been the case with BP and AR, but the number game is definitely in your favor now.

Also, check the text. Quality candor from quality DH players. After you took 90% of EB earlier today, IoJ was spawn camped for hours. Now, I ran out to get some good fights against them, to have fun, and I guess they had more fun ganging up on me.

To be honest… I haven’t even been playing as much because this tier is so boring. The open field fights suck because you guys just go poof. There are no oppponents that make us say, “oh kitten, echo/GF is here” . Miss those guys already.

I could say the same for DR who constantly can’t seem to run without holding hands in packs of 20 or more in supply camps. Maybe you should run your guild tag on here so we know who to look for since you sound like you can bring it. Oh wait, i get it now your snark that’s worse than your bite. Don’t get me all excited. Geez.

@IOJ – Don’t feel bad. they camped us most of the morning as well in EB. Just farm them for badges like we did.

@DH – You have us with the numbers. That’s not new to DR. Please do send those awesome wvw gods of war to EB. I’d love to see those top players as sieging up towers and supply runs can get slow at times for me.

Appreciate the insult to our entire server basically. But to ask if we have any good players would be an understatement, simply by looking at the score. I can name you just a couple guilds in DH that have great significance: Abyss, PD, RioT, BURN, SE, MERC, my guild MoRt and plenty more! When MoRt is on, be sure to take extra peeks at your BL, because your keeps and towers may not be the color you are hoping for

That playing for second thing has kinda been going both ways though. There’s really no hard feelings. We genuinely enjoy playing against DR, and we all feel it’s a very even and interesting match up.

To be fair, golem rushing your BL after midnight EST is kind of a low blow, I admit. I hate PvDooring as much as the next guy. We considered doing it to DH, but given that we knew all of their towers and keeps would be fully upgraded AND we would get zerged, we decided DR was the better target. Our golem rush started with 2 golems and 5 escorts, and we were kinda surprised that we got just one of your keeps, let alone all of them.

I’m pretty much resigned to the fact that DH will win this week. I hope that in between the DH zergs we can get some good fights. The fight for second is still pretty kitten close.

We had 2 different groups running around, our group (which started with 10) our first attempt at hills was scouted and we lost 2 golems, the other 2 golems we snuck off to garrison, caputred that used the supply to build 3 more, then went off and capped the map
Oh and remember, its not 2am world wide…the games not only based in America

And we didn’t know that we would have a number advantage in your BL. We knew that we had better odds in your BL than going to DHs BL. There wasn’t that many of us. Even when we had 5 golems up, we had maybe 15 IoJ.

Just going to toss this out there…..WvW is about tactics and holding objectives. Not open field fights with even numbers. So the obsession with colors that Myro and many others have is just their way of showing you true “WvW prowess”.

That said, I do love me some good ’ole fashion brawls – big and small, I love them all.

Two words: Bring it.

There’s something a few of you seem to fail to understand about IoJ. We’ve slowly tumbled from t1 all the way down to where we sit now. After at least 80% of our WvW players jumped ship to the “easy win” servers due to losing week after week…we’ve done nothing but fight.

DR was there with us against EB & SBI (can I get a witness). And we’re still going above and beyond to hold our own. To say that we went to DR and turned the map red for an easy win, is basically designating yourself the resident crybaby.

Night after night there’s been a handful of us roflstomping zergs triple our size.

And no one is “complaining” about the number of people DH has. Some of you say you don’t have that many, but you do have the 24/7 coverage….that alone is our (IoJ) only issue. Trust me, we love the mindless Duuuuuh zergs throwing badges at us for free all night.

If you have an issue with IoJ tactics though, feel free to jump on over to the most resilient server in the game…and improve on what we already have going for us. There is no easy win, easy fight, or easy points for IoJ. Anyone who says that is spending too much time running back and forth from the repair merch and getting wiped by the same 5 ppl all night. I wouldn’t wish our position on my worst enemy. It has been a really, really tough two months. But judge away if you must. We haven’t been in second place since the last time we were against DR though (fact). So thanks for that Devona’s. Our server needed the morale boost.

IoJ is full of survivors. People that will not quit. Boohoo if a few of us decide to boast about a good night on the forums for once. At least we’re not spam bombing your chat with /dance nonsense every time we get a kill (super classy DH). IoJ struggling & putting numbers on the board? AND being happy about it? Shame on us! It’s been nothing but a struggle for IoJ for the past few for months. Don’t get kitten y because you (DR) dropped tiers and found yourself in third place…trust me…IoJ knows the feeling. We won’t stop fighting, we won’t stop spawning, and we won’t stop flipping anything we want when we want to flip it. IoJ doesn’t /ragequit. We resupply, and act accordingly. That won’t change.

How you choose to have fun is very subjective. If you sacrifice having fun in favor of winning, you are the loser anyway.

IoJ attacked DRs bay keep but never capped it and were sitting on the outer wall by DH spawn doing nothing and then DH came in and killed ioj and then dr but then the dh people started doing random stuff again and dr came back. I had to leave after that but jesus people what is everyone doing lol.

You say attacking the weaker server is a bad thing…not long after we attacked your BL, we had both DR and DH attack our BL, we had 10 people, no where near enough to defend bay AND hills, but it happens, we didnt just desert the map, we sieged up garrison, we held DH and DR off, then when we saw the chance we went straight back to recapping our borderlands

Just going to toss this out there…..WvW is about tactics and holding objectives. Not open field fights with even numbers. So the obsession with colors that Myro and many others have is just their way of showing you true “WvW prowess”.

That said, I do love me some good ’ole fashion brawls – big and small, I love them all.

No, WvW is not about tactics and holding objectives. It’s about the zerg. Pure and simple. Servers with more active people with more active hours win. Skill has little to do with anything. But that’s not the players fault, that would be the fault of the dev’s. They don’t have an easy job, but they volunteered for it. Let’s hope they bring more skill and less zerg to this mmo.

Since he was commanding, I think he has a pretty good idea of what the numbers were. Methinks you don’t know how to read things in context.

As I seen now, IoJ/DR, you both complain about numbers. If you guys can wipe our zergs so easyly, then you should be closer in points to us.

Welcome to the weekday DH numbers where we dont have the numbers. Come out in the morning since thats when i really play and shine the most. I am that upleveld asuran guard from MoRt. i have a peacekeeper GS to help you guys find me. Btw, it usely take 4 or more lvl 80s to down me.

On the note about DH numbers, we have alot of new players in WvW this week. I havent seen these numbers since RE and GoF was still in DH. Time to teach these new players how to play and enjoy WvW. Hope to see more great fights from both IoJ/DR as I seen this weekend.

All I saw was trash 10-15 burn and war tags cappin’ sentry flags like bosses and getting slaughtered by everyone remotely close to their size in numbers.

I could say the same for DR who constantly can’t seem to run without holding hands in packs of 20 or more in supply camps. Maybe you should run your guild tag on here so we know who to look for since you sound like you can bring it. Oh wait, i get it now your snark that’s worse than your bite. Don’t get me all excited. Geez.

My main is a ranger, so I’ll have to salute you since you need to know what you’re doing to rock one. However, there are plenty of great pvp, non-zergers on our server, just as there are on DRs and IoJ. Running with a small pvp guild, I drool at zergs to see if we can survive it, love running into small groups that can fight and at times we end up ikittenerg vs zerg fight because hey, it’s a fight/badge farm.

Same old same old. The losing servers blame it on numbers. The winning server sucks but they just have the numbers. Blah blah blah. Don’t get me wrong, DH does the same thing. When we fought AR and BP we claimed our losing was the numbers and nothing else. Hell, you can still see people claiming that in this thread.

So same old same old.

This is the first time I have heard about our “completely awful but numerous” zergs since the HNN days. Kind of fun.

Some of us do play for fun, but we also play with the intent to win. Whether it is in individual battles or the entire “war.” I think it would be difficult to argue that we are playing against the intended incarnation of WvW.

As for me, like I said before, its not very respectful to let a skilled opponent win one “every now and again.” If they are skilled, they will do it naturally.

I had plenty of DR /laugh at me whenever I charge headfirst into a zerg of 20+ on my own. I knew how many there were, and I knew what my chances were, but my intent was to tie up the opponent for as long as possible (ideally giving my team mates time to fortify, etc). I usually last about 15-20 seconds (enough to flash build 1 or 2 siege). I am working on improving that to 30 (enough to flash build 2 or 3 siege). I did this repeatedly last night, and it was probably perceived as some idiot rushing the zerg. It had a very specific purpose though.

I have also seen PLENTY of IoJ and DR run from fights where they heavily outnumbered us. DH does it too. Its just the game. We have PLENTY of roaming groups, its just that our zergs are constantly on the move (even from map to map). There is a good chance you met the same zerg, just in different places.

The QQ we see would happen in exactly this form if it were any other servers in any of the positions, btw. Anyone who has been doing WvW since release has seen this same thing over and over and over and over again. I have no doubt plenty of DHers would be saying exactly the same complaints, since it is never even considered that the people you are playing against may just be skilled (not everyone is a “zergling”). For me, its disappointing that respect is lost so quickly when one starts losing. :\ I even saw it internally on DH last night, when we werent steamrolling everything as fast. "You all suck! You should do “x”!!!" “You people never listen!!” hahaha. Then, I looked at the point tick and just rolled my eyes.

I would never claim I am some elite player, but I always do my best out of respect for my opponent. I never underestimate an opponent, and DH has seen a couple of times where our massive lead was cut short, very quickly, by other servers. I will always be putting up a fight, just hope the same rings true for those I am playing against. On a good note, this past weekend was still one of my favorites I have had in WvW. The fights were close, tactics were numerous, and it was great fun all around. I ended up netting over 1,000 kills, which is a personal best (I have no doubt plenty of people do better). Then the weekdays hit.. Even then though, the groups I have run up against always put up a pretty darn good fight. So, even despite the insinuations that no one on DH could ever be skilled, I tip my lil asura hat to those who are still fighting. Regardless of numbers (groups I have run in were both outnumbered, and did the outnumbering in various engagements), there always seems to be a good fight.
