Guild Wars 2

Fun fights in AR BL camp south of the Bay. Started out with 5 of us, 3 upgrades and 2 80s vs 7-8 AR folks with 2 upgrades for them. Pushed em back into Bay guards then the AR reinforcements show up and hits us with about 3:1 odds. We switched out the upgrades and again pushed them out again. And of course…good ole AR reservers show up…funny as heck.

This is why some of us late night go to AR BL, can always expect some fun fights.

Oh, dont ask us why we built the trebs…we were laughing while we were doing it. “Soo, we get inside, we gonna take it?” rofl

5 v 25ish….was a funny few hours. How many times did both of us flip that camp?

btw…i believe the immune bugged area is at the spiked cliff location. where those pics are i see dead or dying DR folks…lol. Seem to be takin dmg from what i see in the pics.

who was the SoS thief that just had to go and ruin my beer and chips moment at the Hills? hahahaha. Here i am, all alone with ma lil catapult. Jst clickin #2, drinkin a beer, and eatin some chips. Not botherin nobody, all peaceful and such. Then arrows start raining down on me…rofl.

I have spoken with one of the self proclaimed leaders in an AR guild about seeing their guild tag inside a keep with all doors up to give them a heads up if they didnt know it was going on,his reply was we did it because DR did it… Never said what guild tag so I could say something on my side… just you did it so we did it… now I have been there 4 times where this same guild has been involved with glitching into the keep.
self proclaimed guild leader seemed proud of them glitching inside the keep.

Its a classy lot we get to play against.

Oh they’ll give us an especially hard time because of that.
But we still <3 them
Because we know they’ll gank AR if they try and pull any unfair tricks.

That’s doubtful considering you’re probably looking at the 16hr old matchup site update. GoM will probably increase their lead in t7 all day while we limp through the night and probably don’t show up at all tomorrow like it has been for the past few weeks-month and any other time we’ve lost.

It’s saddening to have to see t7 again after 3 months in t5-6.

tldr: I’ll be shocked if we’re not t7 green (#19) tomorrow night.

From how you speak you are an NSP player.
Maybe we can make some form of wager on where we’ll end up next week.
I know I can make enough difference to that point gain to make us stay in T6.

It’s a shame that [PRO] as you as a representative on this forum. Every post that you did in this thread just conducted to flaming and more trouble.

Anvil Rock got cheater. Most server do. Do we have more then others? Maybe, maybe not. We used to be hack free before a some guy joined us in the BP match up and started hacking.

We saw some screen shot and we took action. In one of you post, you say we didn’t do anything about hacking. You are obviously wrong. Are you a part of our discussion on our server? Did you transfer to us? Because really how would you know we didn’t do anything about it? I went again a full guild just because they used a hack, and I will do it again and again.

I’m personally a hacker hunters. I will track and ban every hackers I encounter. I help to clean this server as much as I can. I have been there since day 1, and to see a little guy like you, that didn’t know Anvil Rock until 2 weeks ago, say anything about this server doesn’t have any weight. Anything you say is only speculation, as are yours friends opinions.

I once got into the invul spot near the camp. You know what happened? I stood there for 2-3 sec, wondering what the hell, then I just moved and died. That’s how you react when you find an exploit. You just stood here took advantage of it, as little as this advantage is. I knew it wouldn’t do much if I stayed, but you have to keep it clean.

Any exploit, be it great or not, are not accepted on Anvil Rock. We can’t catch them all, we aren’t Anet. Most of those hackers are guildless. So except if you contact us in game, we can’t do much.

And by the way, If I ever encounter yours players “testing” an exploit, be sure I will report it. Even if you are doing ti for “fun” like below, I will report and you’ll justify yourself with Anet.

No exploit, be it for fun or not. That’s how we play.

Now let’s end the hack call off. We have a report option in game, that what we should use. It’s again Anet policy to report hack on the forum.

I’m sure we can all agree on this and finish this match up with cleans posts.

AR players posting. Let it pass, the match up is over as of tonight. Constantly rehashing something after some passionate posting will only entice more of the same. At this point there is no need for it. Next round should be interesting.

I find it amusing that the accusations are flying back and forth in this thread, so thought I would add my two cents. The “War Lords” of Anvil Rock neither hack, nor condone it. Period. The simplest explanation is probably the correct one, and simply put, if you lose an objective you probably deserved to lose it.

As far as PRO goes, when I lead the train I look for you guys… And I enjoy every minute of it… I especially like the part where you place ram construction over my corpse… Makes me feel special.

We’ve lost some good guilds who didn’t stick around, but WAR is grooming our guys for the future with WvW leveling runs and instance farming… It’s gonna get interesting… Looking forward to the re-match in the future.

I don’t want to cause a panic or any type of grand alarm but I thought you should know your Medium Whispering Coat has been damaged.
On another note this thread has GOTTEN HEATED and I LIKE IT. Last night by far was the best night of fights for this current match-up in my opinion, at least in EBL. I saw some really excellent siege placement on AR’s part and enjoyed the counter siege scramble. It just seemed AR and NSP were mad and looking to kick some kitten. Anyone from EHJ lurk the forums here? I tried to emote ask last night if you are the Eihenjar’s (spl?) from Rift but all I got was a lot of backstabs and a death. Does anyone know if you create your own emote can the enemy see it (never dawned on me that they maybe couldn’t till just now)? Either way an old MMAC player says hello.
The Golem rush was awesome too NSP and I think you were like 1% away from the inner door going down. If you had brought all 8 Golems at once I doubt we could have countered quick enough.

I would like for you to stop with the slandering against AR as a server. Being on this server since day one, I can’t help but feel a need to defend it as others belittle my server. I will admit, like every server, we have “bad eggs” who use exploits, but I guarantee that the vast majority of our players don’t use them. They are like everyone else who play honest and fair. I’ve seen many people on other servers exploit, however, I don’t come ranting on forums about how such and such did this or that, I report them and then go on my way. That is how it should be. Don’t degrade AR players because certain known guilds or people exploit. I will tell you, they do not speak for the whole server.

Sadly though, I know of the guilds that used exploits on AR when I was there…and sadly most of them were in that “new” alliance. It was brought to their attention then, and whatever they’ve done since then is their problem. Also, being experienced with DR (my home server), I know there are several using exploits within the large guilds (several peeps being removed from said guilds this past week alone for the use of them).

Exploiting is going on on ALL SERVERS. It isn’t better or worse or nominal anywhere else. It may be more noticable amongst smaller numbers because everyone knows everyone. I’m going to go with the majority of the posters here and say, PRO knock it off….you’re not helping DR with your constant YOU USED HAX comments. It’s life….someone loses, they find a way to get what they want, and most of these people live in basements or make a buck an hour…

Look at the POT calling the KETTLE BLACK. Which server was it again that PRO abandoned to go to DR to become its “saviours”? And, how many people did PRO scalp from other guilds on DR to become as large as they were when rebuilding? And, so what you’re saying is YET AGAIN, is that if PRO hadn’t gone to DR they’d be nothing but a T8 server FOREVER….RIGHT? Because, that’s what it looks like you and your guild are trying to say which was why many of the already present large guilds had a problem with when you arrived on DR originally. Let me remind you that YOU ALL went to DR from a higher Tier that you couldn’t hack it apparently (cept for the guys you scalped from the other guilds). YOU brought your 15 or whatever commanders to DR and started TELLING them how things were going to be, instead of ASKING for mutual assistance. I’m pretty sure if PRO leaves or left DR that DR would be just fine without you, so don’t act or tell everyone on a public forum that YOU"RE the reason DR is winning like it is.

So who are you? OH yea, we’ve determined that YOU are a guild that believes they save everyone from themselves. And again, I left DR when they were winning and went to a server that was “losing” at the time and left that server when it was winning as well. At least I didn’t leave a server and cause such a vacuum that it caused an entire WvW community to feel the pain of a large guild abandoning their server.

If I were DR I’d be letting NSP take all my points so that their stay in this tier is secured and beat AR all next week. Since they couldn’t possibly lose or not move up a tier at this point

When I logged in this morning, I had a message accusing one of our members in PAXA of exploiting. The accusation claimed that an Asuran Warrior in PAXA took a tower all by his lonesome using an exploit. I decided to check this out as we only have one Asuran Warrior named “Not Just A Goodtime” in our guild who happens to be level 2 and was still in Wv3 when I logged on. Confused about this message I received, I decided to stealthily follow him around in AR Borderlands to see if he would use the exploit again.

To my amazement, the accusation was correct. He came from the water, shapeshifted into a giant dinosaur like creature, and took a tower by himself in less than 2 minutes. I was lucky enough to get a screenshot of this before he turned on me and proceeded to devour my body in one foul swoop. Appropriate action has been taken. I sent in the screenshot to A-Net with a report. I encourage you to do the same if you see him exploiting this bug as well. I also removed him from the guild and unfriended him on facebook.

We at PAXA don’t condone exploiting and hope that a tragedy like this never happens again.

First of all, you have no idea what PRO has done for the DR server because you have not been here. So don’t sit there and pretend you know everything that has gone on because you don’t.

You are right about the fact that we made a bad impression when we first came in. But from the moment we stepped on this server, this server has NOT LOST. Is that entirely because of us? Of course not, but I think it STARTED with us. PRO does not have the numbers that you and every other enemy think we do. Ask the people that use our TS on a regular basis from other guilds how many members we have and how many we have in WvW on any given. That being said, without these other guilds we would not still be winning thats for sure.

Since half these forums lack reading comprehension let me break it down for you.

Server NEVER won prior to us showing up.

Server started winning after we arrived and hasn’t lost since.

Server would not still be winning without the alliance and other guilds involved.

I talked with ‘Prosecutor.1457’ about the alleged hacking with AD and BSty involved at the hills keep. We showed up and there were some mesmers there jumping into a corner and casting something. We took screen shots, informed their GM, etc. Then we set up 1 guild cata and 2 regular ones on the western wall in the near the NW door. We tore through the wall quickly and a few seconds after the walls breached, they were upgraded and immediately rebuilt. During the breach BSty/AD personnel were pushing in, but were stuck in the wall during the upgrade. ‘Prosecutor.1457’ showed up when the reinforced wall was at 80% with some our people either trying to jump out of the wall (and making it) or just sitting there trying to swing through it. Showing up late to the party was the reason it looked like we someone got through the wall. However we breached the wall with catas right before the upgrade.

Ill see if we got some SSs or fraps of the event.

My post was meant to explain what I knew was going on. It was to answer the accusation of exploiting against the group that was with me. I figured I’d let you guys explain what was happening. I could only speak for those that were with me and what we were doing. You are obviously more than capable of defending yourselves with fraps and previous forum posts.

Let it be known that DR’s winning streak started the same time Khanswrath transferred to DR as well. Not to toot my own horn (gonna anyway), but the sheer fact of my personal destruction of tower walls with flame rams (see signature); my major distraction of ALLOWING the opposition to siege Tombstone me (thus dwindling their supply of siege); my Grub touching to fire up commanders (this ones for you Sir Morningstar) and the strategic use of Norn chest hair to lure some female commanders (not gonna name names) to follow ME around in WvW has had nothing to do with DR’s success. Just wanted to clarify this.

NSP could beat AR by itself.
But that is not what I am seeing my friend and you are blind if you cannot see it either.
I do not wish to relive another week of AR playing for second place. In my eyes Darkhaven won’t stand for it and talking to old friends has its own role in WvW.
I’m not getting into the AR exploit issue as it has already been brought to light by two servers. If you want to keep dredging it up save it for next week.

I expect a good match this week and an equally good one when we face Kaineng the week after.
Preferably NSP and DH will face Kaineng together and break it. DragonBrand had a tough time breaking out of our hold on them when NSP and DH worked together.

All the bickering aside, AR and NSP have definitely given us the most fun we’ve had so far. And, that’s what it is all about.

@Rob You are totally correct. Please underestimate AR as a server. I think it says something in The Art of War about underestimating your opponents but I can’t for the life of me remember what.

NSP has a decent prime time presence and a heavy AM time presence. I’m guessing its from a large Oceanic population. Given that I would assume that you guys would try to maximize that strength by taking and constantly upgrading and building siege in locations you capture to help the prime time people out. However it hasn’t ever seemed that way. Each time I scout the keeps in the afternoon there isn’t much siege and hardly any response to attacks/sneak attacks.
Prime time groups need to work together better imo, because a heavily fortified structure takes awhile to break down. Working to build up fortifications should be the priority of the night crew, and working on maintaining what was captured should be the priority of the prime time. If we had that problem thats what I would suggest.

GL to you guys, we didn’t have too many small group fights vs any NSP but I will say trying to kill that female human commander with Sunrise with my Sunrise in the middle of like 15 of Os was always fun.

I have spoken with one of the self proclaimed leaders in an AR guild about seeing their guild tag inside a keep with all doors up to give them a heads up if they didnt know it was going on,his reply was we did it because DR did it… Never said what guild tag so I could say something on my side… just you did it so we did it… now I have been there 4 times where this same guild has been involved with glitching into the keep.
self proclaimed guild leader seemed proud of them glitching inside the keep.

Its a classy lot we get to play against.

That’s doubtful considering you’re probably looking at the 16hr old matchup site update. GoM will probably increase their lead in t7 all day while we limp through the night and probably don’t show up at all tomorrow like it has been for the past few weeks-month and any other time we’ve lost.

It’s saddening to have to see t7 again after 3 months in t5-6.

tldr: I’ll be shocked if we’re not t7 green (#19) tomorrow night.

Our AM oceanic presence is tiny, they just ball everything up into one group of a reasonable size. Its much smaller than our Primetime crew.
We do work to make sure our Primetime guys have the best chance of keeping out the horde until the next nightshift. But the reason why there isn’t much siege is because we are being constantly wiped.
Ok, so . I get on and we reclaim some stuff. I see AR up north taking back their keep and think. Good. That’ll distract DR and we’ll hit them in their area.
So that is what we do. And then DR show up and start defending. It produces a stalemate which gives AR enough time to reclaim their third.
And then the total genius notion goes through AR’s mind that they should attack the losing server.
So we have to pull of DR to defend our rear against AR. And then DR just waltz back up to AR area and make everything green. And where is NSP now?
Being thumped by DR in our own area because AR has left the map and is now attacking our bl.

Look at it from our point of view. We would have better stuff and things if we had time and manpower to do them.

Every Commander I have spoken to has lead me to the conclusion I have stated before. AR are were focusing NSP and that is also evident in the map. I spoke to DR and AR as well as our own Commanders a few days ago. They weren’t considering it as random.

We had the points we needed to stay in the tier. We took SM to prove that we could. Maybe AR does not understand that. But server pride is strong on what remains of NSP. This was a loss in my eyes that we shouldn’t have had to endured.
If you really wish for me to say it I will.

Hats off to Anvil Rock, you tactics have lead to your gaining another win over us. But what what you lost in the process? Was it really worth it?

Love seeing people with this same mindset. :p Only thing funner than diving head first into a zerg is doing so and surviving. While commanding I very quickly learned that PUGs will not charge…unless they see the Commander icon in the middle of the enemy. I always have the expectation of ending up dead, but with the hope of victory for the group. Longer I can keep attention on myself with my full-tank Guardian build, the more likely my allies are to be taking down more enemies. Of course I have the same kind of mindset with small groups too, just for different reasons. There I figure that if I hold the attention of a Zerg my allies can escape or at least kill off some of the enemy. Mainly because as a Tank Build I have very very little “Escape-ability”. XD Once everything’s in CD I’m screwed.

Alright TDME, I don’t mind that you wont duel me in the NSP BL. I also don’t mind that I ripped one of your thieves apart in like 3 seconds. Its kinda lame though that multiple of you laugh.
Or maybe you did feel like dueling and thought it was over once I destroyed that thief. I’m gonna go with that and give you guys the benefit of the doubt.

People keep parroting this as some sort of “fact” but it’s so easily shown to be a joke.

Since the multiple captures of SM, NSP’s portion of total points has increased from around 21.5% to 23.3%. That is to say, since those attacks which people keep saying were extremely costly, we’ve had an 8% improvement in our portion of the total score.

Remember, prior to those attack, GoM had overtaken NSP in the rankings. The current projection has NSP 13 points ahead of GoM. We’ve gone from a projected loss of over 60 rank points to just 51 as of 4 hours ago. With the score rates, that should end on the better side of 50.

Those SM flips did far more good for NSP than any possible harm.

It is worth remembering that not everyone values “Duels” or “Small Group Tactics”. Unfortunately they are as often biased against as zergs are, which I have always found to be silly. Every aspect is needed in Wv3…But just don’t be surprised when people don’t -want- to 1v1 or such…after all, not everyone’s going to be any good. Won’t lie, if I thought I was bad or less skilled in comparison to others, I would probably never duel and always run in groups. Luckily, I love a challenge even though I don’t think I’m “Better” than most people, I know I’m pretty good despite the lag and never using a mouse. :p I can at least hold my own!
