This sums up anytime I tried to play WvW since patch. Not knowing where I actually am, not being able to use any skills, never knowing if I am fighting or dying. Also you TC players that use fight club rules of beckon/bow, then ambush or snipe that 1v1 with other players, congrats you are only server Ive seen multiple people do it with regularity. If you dont want to be called bad then dont do things like that.
There’s been some really fun and great fights tonight! Hats off to everyone for continuing to push and keep the fights alive It’s been a very interesting week
And remember! Dolyak parade on thursday! I hope to see all sides there just having a great time and having fun! (Details will be posted tomorrow or thursday on it!)

It was just 2 of us from Funk Squad building Catas at South Bay, we picked up another person who was in the vicinity, then another person, and finally a 5th. We now had a 5 man group that set up 4 Cata silently, sneakily, and uncontested. While DB’s army and TC’s army were fighting at hills, we broke the wall. We called out to our commander to take advantage of this and he did. By the time the main army got to us we had the wall at 10%.

If you were one of the Mesmers I dueled, just wanted to say it was fun! Mesmers are one of my weak points but this new way I approach the fight seems to be working pretty well.
I was the [DIS] Thief who came up with the air elemental tonic on, and I’ll definitely be coming to hang out tomorrow to do some more.
It was fun trying to defend Woodhaven tonight. Until my arrow cart inside at the bottom of the ramp, far from the gate was destroyed. I’m pretty sure this arrow cart can’t hit that far inside the tower or can it? Can it hit pretty much the entire ground area inside the tower?

Whoever was on it would just aim through the gate. If whoever was using it was standing where that [DIS] player is, they’d easily be able to see inside and hit whatever is on the ground in the tower. Seeing as it’s so far from the gate and out of LoS, I’m not sure your AC would have been able to shoot back at it.

I’m fairly sure this was what was happening. I actually am that player and I was using the area above the gate to check inside to see numbers when I would run by. I wasn’t on the arrow cart, though, so I can’t give info on what all it actually can hit effectively.
Yesterday, as I lay myself down to rest at the bottom of Mag EK’s steps to spot for the mortar killing your poorly placed superior trebs… a wee TC engi girl cried over my corpse repeatedly while attempting to give me bandages.

I had you targeted and saw your health disappear to a mob of people from my team, I felt bad, because you wrecked me and would have killed me if I had stayed. I pushed too far into you guys and almost died while you pushed too hard into us to kill me, but it was fun. I was killed and I assume you were rezzed after I alt tabbed in a most unfortunate location (I was an idiot for alt tabbing there.)
As for the Treb, it was to knock out ACs and stuff, not for a wall or gate. It was just temporary to ease our assault on the gate.
I wish the people who do tasks like escorting yaks/trebbing would get rewarded for it- it’s a thankless job atm, but the people I see that do it are the real team players
I’d like to say a big thank you to the person who sat there and trebbed west keep for a good 20-25 minutes, you were the real hero in that attack.

Yeah, we five were haunting that area for a few hours haha. Leafy was pushing elsewhere and handling garrison so we took it upon ourselves to escort yaks, build seige, recap SE tower, etc. Had some fun little fights around that area. I did get rezzed after my group pushed out across the bridge, though I could have waypointed several times over by that point. Free healer dailies :P
Got 3 shot combo’d by some PINK thief when I was auto-running into SE tower wall, too.

No defensive seige inside, no supply for walls to finish upgrading (we were oooone yak away!)

Seems like it would have been more fun to attempt to wipe the 5 with the three you had rather then wait for more that didnt come.
So sad what duels have come to…. If your not a crap load of bunker you never win or the fight never ends.People need to take off there training wheels and learn to fight without bunker builds.

Party chat was like “Oh F—, there’s 3 some coming! They spotted us!” So me and a level 76 charged at them and chased them to the water as our other 3 Catas kept firing. False courage scared them off >.< Eventually, your army came at us and as we ran, dying one by one, I was the last alive at 2k health when our Commander came out like Gandalf in LotR and wiped everyone out. Some people were confused at both walls being destroyed.

Yeah, that’s what’s been driving me crazy this week. For what it’s worth, I enjoyed running with you Sunday morning. (I’m the ranger you picked up right after you duo’d the tower.) You’re not a bad commander and you were doing things that made sense given the group we had and the fact that we simply haven’t been able to hold anything longer than 15 minutes. What’s really killing me are the folks with no tag, not leading in public mumble, name I’ve never seen, looking down on folks who have been putting their time in.
Don’t let them break you, I look forward to the next shot I have to run with you…
While I’m here, let me say this to TC… You have beaten and broken Mag in a way that neither Kain nor FA had been able to. I think partially it’s some of the discontent we’ve had with our rank, but you guys to seem to have unbelievable coverage. There hasn’t been a time that I was on that TC wasn’t able to rally a zerg and retake anything we’d taken. Heck of a job, guys.

If it makes you feel better I think you guys are better at defense then DB is, much better at defensive siege use at any rate.
Is defense even worth it? Say you take a keep, or garrison, or even stone mist and hold it. You have to hold a camp and protect dolyaks to get upgrades. While you are holding your objective, the rest of the map gets taken. Say you hold it for 2 days and feel great you have your keep. What did you accomplish? How much karma, silver, loot did you gain?
Now, if you take something, leave it and move on to the next target, and keep moving, not defending anything, you will have continuous karma, silver, loot coming in and none lost from siege weapons, upgrades, etc. Enemy takes it after you leave, and then you come around and get it again for more karma, silver, loot, etc.

well i do agree that it is not worth holding anything for a long period of time but it is always fun setting up death corridor and farm the kitten out of them before they overrun you.
We need less NA players and more oceanic. I say less NA because we don’t want to be in tier 2 or 3. But if we’re going to be in t3 and have a chance to hold anything, we’ll need those oceanic players. Otherwise people give up. It’s not fun for me, despite the majority nobody-cares attitude people portray.
I mean, we’re failing on breakouts. That’s how bad it is. Next time I see a t2 team come down a tier I’ll know not to bother playing. Right now WvW = bank/repairs/crafting/maybe the forge. There’s probably some conspiracy theory where we’re trying to get the pugs to leave the server, too. You know, those names you’ve never heard of that are actually trying, and you’re being callous towards. GG

This is fine at times, but you shouldn’t just let people take a wp away when you could defend it if you pulled together. You get just as much karma/loot defending a sole keep on the 3 min timer, as you do karma training all over the place, which involves more dying and running across the map. In fact, you get way better loot from player kills than the PVE stuff. I get exotics off players, and vendor trash/siege off of npcs, grub, etc.
