Legit question for all you scoreboarders….What tier is NSP realistically going to be in for a while?

I’m going with a slightly different answer than the other replies you’ve gotten. NSP should finish the week with a higher ranking than we started (we’re currently -3 points right now). T6 is still up in the air. BP started a little slow, but have since reclaimed the lead. It’s pretty common for the score to be tight through Tuesday night, then BP usually steps on the gas and pulls away. If they stay true to form, they should break into T5 this week as IoJ is taking a pounding (-24 rank points when they only had a 6 point lead over BP to start the week). In that case, it’s just a question of whether or not DH manages to stick in the tier. That really could go either way.

The important thing to note is that if IoJ doesn’t drop into T6 this week, it’ll happen soon. When that does happen, they’ll probably drag AR and DH’s scores upwards a bit (unless they turn out to be bigger than BP, possible but I personally doubt it). My prediction is that T6 and T7 will ultimately end up with:

T6 – (DR or AR)/NSP/DH
T7 – IoJ/GoM/HoD

Ratings hell will prevent SF from ever exiting T8. At this point, they’d have to score something like 450k+ every week for over a month in order to break that tier. They put up about 300k last week and lost 52 rank points.

I’ll be honest, I totally didn’t look at tiers other than 6-8, haha.

This may be a first for the forums, but I had a really great time getting solo stomped by the GoM zerg earlier. I literally jumped in the middle of a GoM zerg at keep in an attempt to save some other NSP, escaped to quentin through some divine miracle (got crippled/immobilized by the zerg the entire way), and then watched in horror as the wall came down literally 2 seconds after I got inside. I think the zerg caught me somewhere near Danelon as I was laughing my kitten off at my bad luck.

Also, if you ever bump into a NSP charr mesmer, its probably me.

1. Langor bridge battle, YOU SHALL NOT PASS!
2. Blood bath at daneleon, neither side wanted to give ground.
3. trebing QL, easier than attacking the door for sure ^.^

Muni’s team got all the action, screenshots, and cool stories tonight. We had to settle for making up our own.

Here’s how things looked for those of us playing defense:

1. Knocked out a few jumping puzzles to stock up on blueprints and get ready for a night of awesome fights.

2. 12:03 AM – No sign of awesome fights. Built an offering to Great Lord Flame Ram in hopes that He would send us some worthy competition.

3. 12:25 AM – Great Lord Flame Ram failed to deliver. We have resorted to staging illegal golem/guard cage matches to pass the time.

4. 12:40 AM – A lone HoD elementalist appears! Overjoyed, we gave her the chance to duel what was left of our gladiator golem in single combat. Since Pierre is bad at golems, the fight was short and the result predictable.

5. 1:07 AM – Two NSP stroll by looking for their missing golem. We quickly change the subject and distract them by throwing an impromptu fight club. Much fun and amazing fights were had all around. NSP suspects nothing of what really happened to their golem.

Can any gentle soul post a screenshot of the actual scores?

I find it…interesting to see posts about sportsmanship from the server that tanked their previous tier on purpose in order to drop to a tier in which they had no chance of losing.

Something is wrong, i don’t know if it is hacking. I saw it too . Certain players from gom are some how invulnerable. Not all GOM, I just saw two.

They appear as a friendly but they are on the opposing team. You can’t attack them, kill them, or stop them. I have it all on video.

Even the keep lord was outside even thought the gate was closed.

“the unknowns” so far appear to be from a guild on gom. I don’t know if it is a server problem.

I do know that Sorrow furnace is currently experiencing the same bug but worse.

I find it funny people believe stupid crap like that.. Maybe Ronny gave up, but the majority of the server was still out there fighting.. But imagine for a second if DH and GOM both decided to focus only on HOD for a week, that’s pretty much what went down.

just because one or two loudmouth said they were taking a break doesn’t mean the server took a dive.

…unless you think the last few months of AR/BP stomping us was all an elaborate ruse for us to sneak into your tier.

That remmind some bugs that happened while facing Kaining when the some of the players (both servers) went to inside the mountain, walls and could not be possible to exit.

These are all in time order. Its like a story.

To those on GoM and HoD thinking NSP intentionally tanked our last match, I want to tell you that you’re mistaken. I can tell you for a fact that a LOT of us were still fighting hard last week. Yes we did have a couple of loudmouths, not saying any names, stop playing for the week and they may have taken a few people with them. But, large amount of us stayed on for hours at a time to fight. It just happened to turn out that AR and BP really loved our BL and didn’t want us to have it back. Also didn’t help that there were some guilds on AR that admitted to exclusively focusing us to knock us down a tier, haha. But, regardless of result, what’s done is done and we’re here to fight you guys. I really hope we can keep forum activity clean and proper. We can be civil, eh?

Unknown invader bug was shared between all servers, we were all affected by it after crash and a minority on all servers opted to fool around or exploit with it instead of relogging and helping fight. Obviously nothing any of us could do about that.

Regarding the complaints about spawncamping: Lol.

Also the champion keeplord in overlook was trapped outside the gate after you guys breached inner and we wiped your force with his help, we had an unknown invader who kept reviving him when he downed but this guy was being as much a bother to us as you because he kept reviving enemies I’d finish.

You clearly don’t pay much attention to the large majority of the NSP server and WvW community who didn’t want to drop and gave themselves strokes to try and stop it.

It’s funny that Bird Song is saying that they’re feeding us badges. Every time I asked for help against them to wipe them (with him and his zerg) he said to ignore them and leave the base from the side.

I personally got a few badges from when they were camping, but once they left the base, I got tons more from them, because they were actually dying instead of just having one upleveled die because of stupidity.

Camping outside of a spawn is unsportsmanlike. Sure, we’re ahead, and sure I knew inside that we’d catch up, but it’s silly to throw a guild right outside a base during their off hours (my pic was posted and taken about half an hour before our day crew started logging on). It’s like kicking down a conglomerate and then putting it at gunpoint. Of course, it’s going to rebound, but it’s still silly.

And no, I do not represent NSP as a whole. I represent NSP as ONE PLAYER known as Esplen. If you are unable to see the difference, then your world is very ignorant. (You see what I did there?)

Thats what YOU said to me ingame.

Walking around a spawn camp is the correct thing to do.
Take everything from behind and then attack them from the rear.

Doing anything else would be inefficient and quite irrelevant.
I’m also not day crew I’m night crew.

Spawn camping is fine in my eyes. Its an awful tactical move, but ok ^__^
Emoting off /laugh and /cheer is unsportsmanlike though.
And as shown thats what was being done.

They got what they deserved though. We wiped their zerg so many times they quit.
Seems like we’re even.

I think the spawn camping was mostly an issue because it followed GoM taking advantage of the server issues to grab the entire map mostly unopposed and then continue on to benefit from having ‘unkown’ players hanging out with the spawn campers, keeping them up.

So, was GoM flipping NS Keep overnight due to server issues? I logged in and raced over to help our zerg try to take it (again?) later this morning, until our 2 commanders had a falling out. -_-

Wow, amazing how things change overnight. Spend the day capping Red and Blue, log off at 1am server ticking 310+ and owning 3/4+ of EB then get to work and see Bird Song’s screenshot of nothing but blue. Was it some sort of server glitch that cause it or did everyone disappear from 1am server until the night crew logged on? Hopefully the maps look decent for my usual late shift.

No we did not drop intentionally, albeit alot of people did take a a break from wvw because it had gotten to such a rediculous stage of double teaming.
I have nothing bad to say about BP, they actually fought fair. And i know people will post and say blah blah blah NSP QQ etc. But search the old threads and you’ll see pictures of both AR and BP spies on our server in party with invaders giving them info of our movements.
I know of one NSP “commander” who did work with BP to double team ar, but he was not a representative of the NSP WvW alliance of guilds, nor did he command a guild but pugs who knew no better.
I welcome a new fight, with GoM and HoD, you guys have alot of smaller forces (your reaction time needs a little work but maybe i just caught you in your offtime, apologies) It’s very refreshing to fight new opponents, new strategies to sauce out is always fun.

About the glitch, I dont hold it Against GoM as a Server, But [HH], cant wait to find you.

Spawn camping is also good in my books. I dont particularly like it but i dont condone it. Its not an overpowering strategy by any means as Bird has shown.

People mentioned that NSP camp the JP puzzle, I used to hate it but after fighting AR and BP for what seemed like eternity, you literally couldnt walk in there without being ready to sneak by the campers and port a big force in to take them out. Nothing else would do. Until the patch they loved setting up a kittentonne of seige in there. If you get killed by an NSP player in the EB JP im sorry but you can thank AR and BP for our conditioning, i did however have a very pleasant convo with a HoD player who was clueless and i showed him the way through (unfortunately he fell off the pillar on his own accord, died and logged off)

You will have to pardon NSP they are having trouble grasping the new reality they find themselves in.

For so long they have been the underdog. The small server. So when they were posting about how good their small teams were. Or screen shots of them taking keeps. Or them turning a Borderland a certain color. It was cool. They were the scrappy underdog standing up to the big mean server.

Most of them don’t seem to have grasp the concept that they are the bully on the block now. Turned a bl all one color? Great you are suppose to. Winning? Great you are suppose to. Holding a keep against two servers? Pretty run of the mill when you out number them both. Camping a spawn? Par for the course. Great small teams?? Don’t matter anymore, your size will get it done without you.

I’m sure they will calm down. Eventually.

i would say GOM will be in that position someday but i’ve been holding my breath on it since a month after release so….yep. we’ll be in t7 awhile.
