It disappears when people start allowing the actions of obvious trolls to tear at the fabric of their being. Like many have already said, it’s not cool . We know the feeling as has already been stated many times.

Great job everyone! This has been the most exciting week yet!

I think we would all agree that the majority of WVW players are there for enjoyment of competing. Yes some servers and guilds may have done a few " suspicious" things in the past, but in the end we are all here for good old beat each other over the head pvp.
The sad part of this weeks’ havoc is the failure of Anet to attempt to stop such activity which has obviously been a major issue in the past.
We have to push Anet to address this issue now and not later if they want WVW to continue and not slowly fall to the wayside as a hackers playground.

If anyone on the BG community knew who it was doing the rams in Jq’s keeps there would have been something done about it. The fingers need to be pointed at arena net on this issue. This exploit has been around for awhile now and yet nothing has been done about it.

Same thing happened when Kaineng got to T2 against us. Rams everywhere, We reported the person on multiple occasions and nothing happens. The crappy thing about that instance was we knew who it was and he was an actually guild leader for a guild on kaineng. Hopefully the only good thing that will come out of this is it happened in T1 and it did play some part in JQ losing the match. And with that Arena Net is forced to do something about it.

I don’t understand what is leading you to the conclusion that a lot of people, on all sides, aren’t outraged by this. It hurts everyone, as it weakens the integrity of the game. Speaking personally, yeah it kitten es me off that a server is getting griefed in WvW, and moreso in a match my server is involved in. What upsets me even more however is players coming to the forums and pointing fingers at an entire server for no reason other than personal bias and “the only one who stands to gain” reasoning.

Perhaps many players do not take the game as seriously as you do.

Congrats BG on a well fought and well deserved win! Shout out to the old Nine Dragon/Crusade guys that are still around, it was a pleasure fighting beaide you for the first few months of the games release. Glad you guys finally got what you were chasing after!

Congrats to Blackgate on the win. Phenomenal push in last 24 hours !! Was expecting a let off at some point but you guys applied the pressure throughout.

I have seen quite a number of JQ players exploiting towers by wall jumping but you don’t see me crying about it because it is what it is.

The fact is, PRX was more of a factor than JQ gave them credit for and you guys burned out. You don’t lose a 24k lead all to one troll siege building all day.

You pushed as hard as you can and BG pushed harder, nothing more, nothing less.

BG’s first tier one win will forever be tainted. Sad since they deserved to win this week with that great comeback. Hopefully next week these shinnanigans will be over with.

Half of our NA originated on JQ, our SEA has been pretty much here with FOO (originally ET) since october and didn’t transfer when they lost they transferred because they were literally the only WvW guild left on their original server. We have many many guilds who have been here since launch and many guilds who came because their server was gone. You guys left when your server lost 3 weeks in a row. I don’t see the comparisons but keep it up. We all know MERC is a bit upset sad to see things went downhill after Jedah’s left.

Seriously, we had numerous reports 2 weeks ago of members from PRX on JQ, using a mesmer exploit to go into keeps and drop portals for people to go in. That is why over night JQ magically took the numerous keeps we had in about 30 min. Did anyone else hear the crickets from JQ’s side? No attempt to find out who was doing it, no mentioning of it in later posts, and just overall ignorance about the people doing it from your own server. Blackgate gets 1 troll, and JQ starts going nuts with accusations and overall disrespect, while Blackgate actually had the nerve to (gasp!) find the people that were doing it and get them kicked from their guild and report them! Bravo! Our first win would have been 2 weeks ago, and this win is not a tainted win because at least we found the person causing the issue, JQ didn’t.’

On another note, how can 1 keep cause an entire map to go blue? Can someone explain this to me? I see people saying there is only a few people doing this. How is this stopping people again?

No one would ever have a 2nd account on the enemy server then use their own guild tag when ruining for that server in WvW, it’s common sense. This is just someone hating Choo trying to give them bad PR.

They didn’t disband. A few of their higher level members left and took some members with them, but Icoa is still around in pretty large numbers.

We are still there man. I leave like 2 or 3 months the game but now im back and some ppl stop playing the game but there is new ppl and some of the old ppl that left is back again. We are more strong than ever and is nice to be winning at this tier with Black Gate.

So VaL’s mega alliance never transferred to you I see, those 16 (that you acknowledge, which we’ve all seen is more)

You sound a bit angry you should seek some help man. I congratulated you on your win but you do realize VaL didn’t have a mega alliance it was 2-4 guilds and of which they are PvX so I guess we are stacked man. Our community was attractive to SF and all of the guilds that joined not the fact we got people. SF was literally the only NA presence left on SBI no one can blame them for leaving. You guys were competitive in Tier 1 yet you still left the server.

From what was said here a little awhile ago (before the posts were deleted), the entire map was sieged capped for days. You cannot build siege to attack or defend. If a tower needs arrowcarts, catapults, trebs, ballistas, etc to defend, you cannot build it. So yes, that griefer did handicap JQ tremendously and contributed to a map turning a different color.

Secondly, a lot of the posts had players saying they were frustrated and not having fun in wvw the last few days since they couldn’t do the things they normally could do in wvw like building siege to attack and defend. Many stayed away from wvw to avoid the frustration which means means less people in wvw for JQ.

Third, from the screenshots posted, it seems like JQ found the player(s) doing it. Many said they reported that player(s). Now, it’s up to Anet to ban him/them.

So one person destroyed the morale of an entire server and beat them……….wowsers, I wonder what their glicko rating is this week. Arenanet should build a tribute page for this player who single handedly won WvW

all this is doing is demoralizing people and making people honestly stop participating in wvw. cheating and exploiting is againt TOS and please do stop these actions so the people that actually enjoy this game can continue to enjoy it .and that goes for all sides lets try to have some fun this week .

The regular players would probably continue but the casuals might stay away. But I can’t blame them. If I’m on a server which cannot use siege while the other server can, I would be frustrated, especially in EB since it’s basically a siege (treb) war in there.

Can we tone down the hyperbole a tad? Yes someone using game mechanics to effectively denial of service attack a server’s side map wide is lame as kitten.

But BG fought hard this week and deserves it’s win. It’s not BG’s fault or the result of one malicious party that JQ is suffering from burnout and attrition. BG won it fair and square. So congrats BG!

Quite frankly while I’ll be playing to win I wouldn’t mind seeing T2 for a round or two. Seeing the same tags over and over again gets a tad boring.

Just to add to the ‘mega alliance’ he mentions about VAL. When we ran together with them on CD, usually it would be 2-3 guilds with 20 odd. Although, it was thought that our guilds process 100+ armies due to their ability to defend against large zergs.

I don’t see a lot of enemies, but when I do, there’s a kitten ton of them.

You win one week after losing how many and tell us “if we could actually best us on the WvW field” lol. What kool aid are you drinking? I’ll say this and only this about the siege troll. Regardless of who ever is doing it, constantly putting the map at siege cap with little to no defensive siege being able to be set up will HEAVILY impact a defense of a tower/keep. Constantly having our supply drained and not being able to repair walls/gates. If you think this had no impact on the game you’re extremely closed minded. People were extremely frustrated at this, and it was an every day occurrence, the guy didnt simply do it once and stop. Anyway, congrats to BG on their win, regardless of how it happened you guys still took home the W and great job on that last push.

Man we were victims of many exploits , cheats and “PACTS” between server that made us go to tier 2 ( i remember very well “sbi jq maybe” ? ) and we are still there, we were victims of many “spy” ty to the transfer system of Anet and we kicked them, Golems trollers and mesmer bug or exploit to garrison and we are still there!!!! now in tier 1 again with no cheating, no spy just we left the blood and our intelligence in the battle.
Just let me tell you something “no war is fair” ask to the German and russian ppl about General winter if its fair. Now ask to the rest of the Servers on WvW if its fair all the trolls all over the wvw doing the same thing that “maybe” its the first time happend to your server ( something strange since its a long time the game has been released ) or are you immune to this kind of thing and now “just now” that happened when BG is winning?

I think there are 2 points that both BG and JQ need to understand.

JQ: Is it the main reason why JQ lost? No, it’s one of the reasons but not the main reason. BG wanted it more and worked harder than JQ this week.

BG: Did the griefer make 0 difference in the match? Absolutely not, having 0 supply and constantly being capped on multiple maps for days did handicap JQ.

ALl im gonna say is that was a good fight but is sad to see how some people have to use dirty techniques to pull us down.

first was to steal our golems to make them destroy.
second to waste our supplies on useless constructions.

im not blaming anyone im just putting facts on the table.

Tonight is a great night for Blackgate. After several tries, endless nights without sleep and comebacks by other servers Blackgate has made it to first place. Back when HB joined Blackgate the server were in Tier4, and we´ve seen the change the server and the game have gone through over the past 6 months.

Im glad that we picked BG back then, and Im proud to have been able to fight along side all the great guilds that are on this server. For me the journey ends here, but HB will still be going strong.

Its been an honor fighting with and against you all. A special shout out to TW and BT for bringing the best fights in NA, and to RG that showed us that they are the kings of open field fights.

To be honest, Im glad I woke up to a a 14k loss today. If I had of woken up to a 4k or 6k loss it would have been clear in my head that the outcome of the week was decided by cheating. At least a 14k loss causes some doubt. I also believe BG and JQ really closed the gap this week for alot of reasons. It wasn’t just a case of “BG wanted it more”, I think alot of JQ players have left and given up WvW lately. It gets a bit stale, both WvW and GW2. TBH Ive been a pretty dedicated WvW player, but Ive hardly played this week because Im at a point in the game where I am waiting for the next patch and if it doesn’t totally blow my mind Ill be quitting the game.
