Tonight is a great night for Blackgate. After several tries, endless nights without sleep and comebacks by other servers Blackgate has made it to first place. Back when HB joined Blackgate the server were in Tier4, and we´ve seen the change the server and the game have gone through over the past 6 months.
Im glad that we picked BG back then, and Im proud to have been able to fight along side all the great guilds that are on this server. For me the journey ends here, but HB will still be going strong.
Its been an honor fighting with and against you all. A special shout out to TW and BT for bringing the best fights in NA, and to RG that showed us that they are the kings of open field fights.
all this is doing is demoralizing people and making people honestly stop participating in wvw. cheating and exploiting is againt TOS and please do stop these actions so the people that actually enjoy this game can continue to enjoy it .and that goes for all sides lets try to have some fun this week .
Man we were victims of many exploits , cheats and “PACTS” between server that made us go to tier 2 ( i remember very well “sbi jq maybe” ? ) and we are still there, we were victims of many “spy” ty to the transfer system of Anet and we kicked them, Golems trollers and mesmer bug or exploit to garrison and we are still there!!!! now in tier 1 again with no cheating, no spy just we left the blood and our intelligence in the battle.
Just let me tell you something “no war is fair” ask to the German and russian ppl about General winter if its fair. Now ask to the rest of the Servers on WvW if its fair all the trolls all over the wvw doing the same thing that “maybe” its the first time happend to your server ( something strange since its a long time the game has been released ) or are you immune to this kind of thing and now “just now” that happened when BG is winning?

I think what many JQ players are saying is that this week is different from before. All servers have had griefers who waste supply or build useless siege. But this week, it was taken to the extreme. Before, you may have someone doing that for a few hours or maybe 1 day. But this week, that player(s) have been doing it not for hours but for days and to the point that the entire map was siege capped. If true that JQ has been sieged capped on a map since Tuesday, this is the first time I’ve heard that a server being siege capped for that long. Hours maybe but 3+ days?
Congratulation BG for Rank 1 T1, happy I have taken part taking down JQ with you guys.
Now I am going back to Kaineng and I hope to see you soon. Keep being the bests in T1 until Kaineng goes up with you ^^ !!! Very impressive BG player base they are probably the new leader of T1 for long, we will see what they ll do next week.

No one knows why that person is doing it and which server he/she is from. We can all make assumptions all we want. However, regardless which server he/she is from, the fact still remains, both BG and SOR benefited from it. You can jump to conclusions on why that player is doing it but there are no conclusions to jump to regarding the effect of it since it is a fact that JQ was at a disadvantage and the other servers benefited from it.

I’m fairly certain they won this week, but overall, they are still rank 2. Jq should still b e green after reset, unless I missed something.

Could be.. No one knows. He could have done it for revenge. And if so, he accomplished his goal of putting JQ at a disadvantage and allowed BG and SOR to reap the benefits.
I am really surprised that such great guilds and commanders are here mud slinging. Having come back from a several month lay off I was very pleasantly surprised at what I have found in the Blackgate. A concerted effort by several dedicated guilds to get the PUG’s and smaller guilds in their TS. To coordinate. If that fails to just follow the blue dot on your screen while they coordinate amongst each other on each realm.. and they do a REALLY good job of it.
Blackgate at this time simply has more guilds that want it more and much more.. They are mobile and versatile. JQ has amazing guilds like FOO who can steam roll opponents in very short order if you dont counter their game. SOR same thing with CHOO.. very strong and inspiring… but the massive amount of power these guilds alone have couldnt counter the teamwork of Blackgate in the end 24/7…
The last push led by several strong guilds and a couple of crazy madmen like Magickarp who I was following.. he pulled a 18 hour shift and put nonstop pressure on the enemy.. other commanders were doing the same on other realms.. Isnt that why they won? Who cares about supply? who cares about JQ making sunny untakebale with massive amounts of siege panted in their safe zone?
In the last few hours outside of the JQ garrison BG led by Magic wiped JQ and FOO 15 times or made them run back to their garrison.. doesnt that summarize why BG won?

Oh wait they did, because that is a HUGE part of attacking and defending, supplies and siege. When bg’s superior forced hit the keep I assume they used no golems? no rams nothing, because hey as you said who cares about supplies and siege.

Congrat to all Blackgate guilds and civilians, you guys really deserved! And special prop to MERC/ND for strengthen up our lacking Oceanic force ,which has become huge part of Blackgate’s current success today.

From an oceanic standpoint, last night was the most fun I’ve had in wvw for a long time. BG brought it but JQ didn’t give up. It made the night exciting as no one knew who the winner was going to be, which hasn’t happened for a long time. So thanks to everyone who showed up and fought and made it a memorable night
The way to solve it is one of the GvG guilds should be able to communicate to a BG or SoR server somehow and I’m sure either would be able to bring a golem or two, get to inner and destroy all the siege real fast and leave without killing the lord. I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a problem to then leave the keep alone for a couple hours. Not sure what else could be done other than that. Maybe even leave a BG and or a SoR inside the keep to continuously kill the perp. I’m sure there would be more than one willing thief to gank some flame Ramican
Maybe its time to implement the salvaging of your own siege for supply. Nothing is going to solve the problem of idiots like whoever keeps doing this to us all, but it will help.
As long as there is a finite number of something, people will always grief others. At the moment one can:
- Use funny potions to dress like animal and not combat at all, wasting a spot
- Waste spots in wvw by doing Guild v Guild combats and other Dolyak parades or anything that does not involve gaining influence on the map.
Tarnished Coast wouldn’t be happy with those at all.
If the 26th patch+settings can reduce the lag in major fights, I’ll be happy.

Can we tone down the hyperbole a tad? Yes someone using game mechanics to effectively denial of service attack a server’s side map wide is lame as kitten.
But BG fought hard this week and deserves it’s win. It’s not BG’s fault or the result of one malicious party that JQ is suffering from burnout and attrition. BG won it fair and square. So congrats BG!
Quite frankly while I’ll be playing to win I wouldn’t mind seeing T2 for a round or two. Seeing the same tags over and over again gets a tad boring.
I’ve always refrained from commenting on the forums, but this is getting ridiculous. Fair and square? If somebody in BG was doing the same thing to them for the same length of time and BG still won, then we can talk about “fair and square”. As it is, we have no idea how much the siege problem was a factor (I suspect it was quite a large one).
In fact, if BG really cared about being fair, they would have taken measures such as retreating when they see flame ram shrines in JQ’s keeps. However, on the contrary, I believe they were quite happy to take advantage of the situation.
There is no “fair and square” here. Some people were talking about all being fair in war. Well, then I hope BG gets sabotaged this week, especially seeing that the siege troll is still active in JQ. And then we’ll see who’s “whining” then.

Pretty much but also don’t forget, Ravygravy & Grimhilldr holding SoR BL with 10 people for about 3-4 hours, Portal Mesmer and Lotd holding BG BL for hours on end and KnT + ND (Riven the Valorous, Ridiculy & Hyun D respectively) in EB flipping the kitten out of lowlands and SM meaning JQ had to push onto EB before they could even come to a Borderlands. Oh and AoI holding an amazing T3 bay with 1700 supply, Deuce your a champ!
Pressure across all maps was the key to victory during Oceanic I was leading the only sizeable force the rest was an incredible effort from everyone, doing wonders with such a small number of people to hold over half the BL’s only requesting assistance when EMP / FoO were inside keeps.

Did you leave the keep after or were you quite happy to keep it?
As long as I’m aware of someone on my side exploiting to get a keep, I go elsewhere. I’d say winning or losing isn’t as important as being able to truly win fair and square. And, sad to say, this time BG didn’t – by definition. For that I do sympathise.
Besides, even if no official action is taken, I suspect there will be kitten for-tat very soon, so your advantage wouldn’t last anyway. And we’d all be the worse for it.
lol I don’t get it either. He actually started helping tonight with placing siege properly and used golems on the gate and not trying to pvp with them. Now, if we could get rid of those flame rams.
