So, I figured out why everyone is so high on “GvG”. Certain guilds will never fight on their own in the field because of their [perceived] lack of skill and would rather form a murder ball of 80 people to justify that they are “good” at WvW. The desire for GvG comes from the fact that it is the only way to have a balanced fight since you will never see certain guilds outside of their native habitat of the mega-zerg.

Grow a pair a fight under your own guild’s name. I encourage no one to give “props” to anything these super zergs do while in the field. They are abusing a game mechanic and there is nothing to congratulate there.

Words of a true KnT Zergballer.

We run with 40ish people max on reset. The rest of the week we run between 25-30. We cover from EST to AUS/NZ so we are online for about 12-14 hours a day with a force, but that does not mean we zergball. I’d consider us to be a large guild and we are a highly organized and structured force, but we will just about never roam around with 2-3 other guilds to get our kicks. Anything we do on the field we do it with KnT plus a few of our militia that like to run with us.

I’ve seen SF and EMP with similar numbers to us and I always appreciate those fights. I’m talking about the literal 60-90 player balls that you see and you know what I’m talking about. I made it a point to not call out guilds, but rather discourage the tactic in its entirety. Thank you, however, for immediately trying to slander and flame my guild, I appreciate it.

Curious….wasn’t KnT essentially running with Agg on JQ BL a little bit ago?

If you read my post, you would see that I said no guild really fields larger than 40. We probably only have 30 on ourselves right now. I am talking about when 3 guilds merge together to form a single zerg of 80 people. You can run with 25 all you want, but when you merge with 2-3 other guilds with similar numbers, then there is a problem and you would be breaking the game. Tell Bav hi for me and I’m sure he wouldn’t appreciate your trash talk as him and I have always been on good terms.

I would guess 50 players at most, for it being a Sunday night and St. Patrick’s Day. I’ll be sure to get a count for you though.

I really do appreciate the trolling and attacks on my guild to try and disenfranchise my post. Provide to me an argument why I’m wrong, or you can stop trolling and agree with me. This tactic of 80 people in a force literally BREAKS the game and it is in the control of your leadership to do something about it.

EDIT: I haven’t been in game yet today, but, according to my AGM, currently we are running with no more than 30 players including non-KnT. We fought with 15-20 Agg for a brief moment when the lord room was under attack in our EBG keep, Valley. So yes, for that short second, we had maybe 50 players together to defend the most important location on our map. The rest of the time, we have been running with about 30 facing forces of 50-60 and 45-50, whose guild names I will refrain from mentioning.

You are clearly misinformed. There have been many occasions where the entire map for a server is following a single commander in a force of up to, quite literally, 100 people. This happens just about every day.

The cap for BLs IS 80 confirmed.

Also, if anyone is doing that then you should be able to take everything from them easy.

Full BL zerging is easy to counter. If you can’t take anything from them, chances are they aren’t full BL zerging or they are just better than you.

You’ve gotta be kidding me. SoR has got the trade mark on running as 1 huge zerg to capture things then wiping zergs half their size and bragging about it on the forums. JQ and Blackgate are both very fully aware of your “tactics” :P

You argument to counter mine is a fallacy in that I was not addressing strategy. Let me make this crystal clear for you:

80 PLAYERS FROM THE SAME SERVER RUNNING IN A SINGLE FORCE IS BREAKING THE GAME, NO AMOUNT OF STRATEGY TO “TAKE THEIR STUFF” CHANGES THAT FACT.

Speaking strategically, very often, a server gets away with running a force of that size because the 3rd server won’t hit them in the back when they are clearly overextended, e.g. their entire force trying to take Bravost when Anzalia’s is Tier 1. My point is not to address this because I do not aim to try and “tell” other servers how they need to play. That is their business.

Also, BL’s do not have a “confirmed cap” so I’d really like to see where you found one. The amount of players allowed into a map is based off of the server strain at the time. If the servers are under a lot of stress, it can be as low as 50 or if the servers are not under stress, it can be as high as 166 as was the original intent for WvW.

TL;DR, Semantics aside, running in groups of 80 players is breaking the game because the servers and game engine cannot handle the load being placed on it. Guilds or servers need to stop running in groups of this size. Period.

I think people really need to learn to count. People see pets, minions, mini pets, elementals, ect…. and they think its an 80man zerg….. LoL I have never seen SoR run an 80 man zerg.. Max zerg I have ever seen is maybe 60 people and the skill lag was horrible anytime we ran into another zerg. An 80man zerg is pretty much a full BG running around as one. Which would be really hard to pull off because there are always those 10-15 people who are in the jumping puzzle or running around ganking people. Not to mention with a zerg that size most guilds will have at least 1 scout in everything they own so they have warning to save things. Which means another 3-5 ish people sitting out of the zerg.

Honestly tonight in SoR BL I could have swore I saw about 30-40 emp along with another 15-20 SG. And we held a swiss cheese bay from them for almost an hour and a half while we also defended our garrison and northern towers from BG. We had maybe 25 people at bay and another 15-20 in garrison/north towers. And we did just fine. So don’t complain about zerg balls being all powerful. We had the longer walk and we had no supply but we still held that keep through the onslaught of the masses.

Skill and Tactic > Numbers.

Why can’t we all just get along?

All 3 servers have good guilds and bad guilds, good days and bad days, good people and bad people, good trolls and bad trolls.

You get the point.

And if this next WvW patch sucks, all three servers are going to suffer for it. We’re actually all in the same boat more than people think.

Fixeon, I am not counting pets, etc. I am talking about 3x 25 man organized guilds merging together and running as a single force. Simple math dictates that is 75 players.

i know i’m late, but just wanetd to pop in and say great fights on JQBL on reset night!!!

first time i got up early and on-time for reset (would be 8am on a Saturday morning for me, GASP still in disbelief i did that) and had a TON of fun.

thanks to JQ and BG for the fun times. ; ))) exploding fist bumps for everyone.

just a little personal share.. i will admit that i have times when i “lose” or don’t perform as expected or get wiped.. and i lose my temper like a 9y/o spoiled little brat. then my ever-so-loverly wife patiently reminds me that there’s no need for that. think about that the next time you see something that upsets you. no, no, not about my wife, but i mean the whole “there’s no need for that” thing. drink a glass of cold water. count to 10 with deep breaths. whatever works for you.

let’s try to keep this.. civilised is the word i’m looking for? we’re all in the same game. we’re all in tier 1. and to be honest, at the end of each day, i frigging enjoy ever moment of it. they say you need to earn respect. i say, if we don’t give it out first, don’t expect to ever receive it in any shape or form. even if it’s to your opponents. or sworn enemies. or random strangers. it goes a long way. i’m still learning myself, but i can at least see as much as that.

It was a farm fest… like someone previously said. We killed hundreds of them and they kept coming en masse :p Choo was cute and scared everytime they attempt running in ^^
SoR and JQ wasn’t hitting each others at all.
And it’s T1 material ??? Must be a joke…. I won’t give every guilds tags but if someone make a nice video of that epic fail from SoR and JQ please mail me.
Really… If Kaineng replace SoR => JQ will suffer hard believe me…
I am very disappointed in T1 it’s a level and quality of play way under T2 servers FA/TC/KN all would deserve your place 1000 times.
Overall I came to find out that I love T1 when skills beats numbers only lag can save you :p If not it would last 4 hours longer. haha
The T1 forum doesn’t look appealing neither… You guys really need to work on you.

They run during SEA and since SoR has relatively no presence at this hour, there is no one to punish it. They outman BG as well, but we work smarter not harder in our defense.

They dominate PPT due to a pure population difference, not due to skill. Not to say that FOO in lesser numbers wouldn’t be a good guild, but they certainly aren’t challenged when they run 90 people around capping objectives with 20-30 people max defending.
