Lol…think we just figured out why ET can run around with zergs but not bring up orange swords (they did here, but there was like 50). Look close at the right side and you will notice people standing there with their hands in their pockets.

Venn what you have to understand is yes there are zergs on all three servers on different time zones even, but how do we counter that, what is the best route to making sure we are on top. We all three are thinking this (as servers) but we do not think about the solution.

I know I will get flak for this, but this is something I posted on our server forums also, we need to enlighten our PvE groups to WvW, and show them what server pride means, I am sooo happy we were able to get PvE players to try WvW and them notice its so much fun that they do not want to leave. This is the reason [PVP] have so many online in WvW.

us in T8 or T7 or even in T6 we have to work with the community as a whole and not just us as a guild.

Personally I had a blast in FC last night!
Firstly: Big thanks to all the current FC players that showed up in WvW. I hope to see you all again soon and regularly!
Secondly: Welcome to any players that transferred to FC and we hope you were well received by the WvW community! I hope you stick with FC and learn what our spirit is really all about and enjoy the game with us!
Thirdly: All those green dots just filled my eyes with tears a little… It felt so good fighting alongside so many FC (even if we were still vastly outnumbered).

I joined in just as soon as WvW was available and that was when SF decided to take FC Bay. Just too many SF before our forces could gather properly and it fell into their hands.
Then the fight for Hills and we were faced with odds stacked against us. But we stood our ground and drove the sea of SF away over and over again. They finally decided to change tactics and rushed our towers and built a bit of a stronghold at cliffs from where the trebbing started… Finally our garrison fell and it was 12pm already! I logged off but found some stinky SF posts here this morning which is totally wrong. We gave you a better fight than you expected I’m sure… (as usual).

Ok, here is the flak you asked for: I’m sure it’s easier to make PvE players like WvW when you server uterly dominate the oposition…

On ET and FC, you won’t get this chance… You WILL face some huge SF force at some point and lose… Then you’ll head elsewhere and there is SF again. And when you look, all the map is green, and SF have people waving at you from Woodhaven. I don’t think a player would ever return under this circunstace unless he is a masochist.

Then you need to take a different direction , and that direction is building morale, the way you do that is you only hit supply camps and move forward as you look at towers, what I mean by that is as you do a circle or what ever you do as a group you always keep eyes on a tower that you potentially might want to take, then you second run around the tower you want to take that will build morale, and you do this over and over until your group is in sync, and when the commander says “hey guys we got this” they know to believe it, a commander is only as strong as the force that follows behind him/her.

LOL calm down, take deep breaths. Nobody is trying to say SF doesn’t field way more numbers, they are just shots of ET’s and FC’s zerg <— NOTE: That is singular… I fully admit that we have multiple zergs roughly the same size as your one large zerg, so calm down and don’t be so camera shy.

Yeah I posted a screen shot of one of your 50 men zergs and there was about 30-40 [PVP] tags. Good to see you guys here Hope you guys move up soon now.

If we can rally the support in ET on a regular basis that we had last night in ET BL, then bring on the SF.

Outstanding battle last night between the tower and Garrison. Garrison swung both ways but we did a great job defending our tower.

Edit: Oh, and Props to the commanders who took part with the battles. Jugg, Ced, Sneaky, Teh, and others I know were there but can’t recall the names of at this time.

^^ This. My zerg shots and comment weren’t a swipe at our opponents and I was NOT in any way, shape or form trying to make a case you guys have more than us (yet, let’s see how those free transfers pan out at the end of the week ). I just honestly I haven’t seen zergs (on our side or our enemies’ sides) this large in a very, VERY long time. It was good to see ALL sides fielding such large numbers last night and it was a lot of fun. Hope all these new folk decide to stick around.

Stop taking offense where none was intended and let’s have some fun out on the battlefield!

50 men… only a third of what’s on the map.. and people still think SF belongs in t8.

It has been one night, let’s give it a week and then see what we have in participation. I will make no bones about it though, we had a ton of people last night, more than I have seen since transferring in a couple of months back.

Someone was saying that at times we were Medium populated so we could actually have had transfers, which is pretty low on the believability scale….My guess is that a ton of people read “WvW patch” and joined to see the scoop. Like others have said give it some time and things will get closer to what they were before the patch.

We always knew we had a ton of people but also knew we didn’t have as many participating as we could/should have. You guys had a lot too there for a while, but like I said we just zerged every map with folks, personally I hope about 20% of those people go back to PVE soon….It was painful for some of us on SF too

I love how you guys are taking something like the patch THAT OBVIOUSLY BOOSTED WvW population on every server in the game, and applying it to the age-old SF has moar people QQ argument…Of course we have more people now, theres something shiny to look at and do, same way the FC BL was Queued last night…Theres more people WvWing than likely ever before, SF has a larger server (click transfer to verify) it only makes sense that with increased participation we would have more people….But do not apply what happened 10hrs after a major patch to something that has been being discussed for 3 months of a stale matchup to where some nights SF had 10 people in EB if we were lucky.

If you guys didn’t expect a population increase in WvW after a patch that was advertised as a primarily WvW patch….then I would say, have you tried Doodlejump?

Last night was fun. I tend to prefer smaller fights, but it was a nice change of pace to have so many massive fights goin on.

Cant wait for to get off work. Cant wait for Friday reset.

Now to be fair, you’ve always had more people who were willing to come to the call that there was activity happening. Your pop has mass reserves who for the most part probably don’t hit the wvw map unless it’s /map or /guild shouted that “hey we need peeps for this or that”.

Our servers have a smaller pop with less people who rise to those calls.

I don’t think anybody can say that you have more active people ALL the time roaming around the Mists. Although one large group tracking those map hopping and taking stuff could make it seem like it :-D

I am hoping that after last night, ET and Ferg will have more willing to respond as it was an outstanding night for battle, even if we got rolled in certain areas.
I feel some of the battles we had showed the irregular WvWrs the fun to be had by all.

+1 The closest thing to reality I think I have heard anyone from FC/ET utter in a long while.

Lots of people out last night made for lots of fun to be had!

Love the fact that I don’t have to incur damaged armor costs if I’m outnumbered. That should entice a few more people to the cause.

And while there were LOTS of people all the way around, I must note that when everyone was kicked from WvW due to a new patch later in the evening, there were only around 50 of us Fergs standing in Lion’s Arch. I’m sure most of them were running a big zerg, but still, that is not that many for all four maps. We still have a little ways to go to catch up on the coverage.

And I am not sure if it was the culling fix or just everyone answered the call last night, but WOW! There was a lot of SF roaming around!

Kudos to the SF Engineer who beat me in a 1-1 duel. I salute you.

Indeed, both FC and ET had quite the showing last night.
While there is still a large population difference between SF and FC/ET, I do feel like it’s at least starting to even out a bit with the free transfers and/or patch. Last night was the most fun I’ve had in WvW in a while. Keep it up!

just transferred to ET yesterday, loving the breathing room as opposed to JQ. Unfortunately that comes with low wvw population and since SF outnumbers us at any given moment I think this is going to blow up in my face lol.

VK is having an absolute blast in T8 so far. Ridiculously awsome going 15-20 v the world. We love it. I was alittle concerned we wouldn’t see numbers when we showed up. Well that concern is gone after we went around and kicked the hornets nest for a while.

If you pop orange swords, and VK is on, we are probably en route to you. Just saying. We love open field combat if you didn’t figure that out tonight

P.S. stop hatin on BC cause he left, he got frustrated and moved on, everyone else should too. Tired of seeing all the people talking about the guy who spent two all nighters with me this weekend to get the lead back from FC(for 2nd anyways). I didn’t see any of the major guilds on at all this weekend doing anything about the lead SF/FC put on us. Call it hide and seek if you want(and your childish) but those of us that pulled all nighters this weekend to get the points bac,k were runnin with him cause he actually wanted to take the lead back instead of letting SF roll and get a free boost up to T7.
