I’ve literally never seen a commander talk as much kitten as this Kalkz guy and be such a worthless commander… I’m not even trying to start more flame wars but I haven’t seen a commander drop sigil and disappear off of a map after wiping a zerg as much as this guy since James Games left for Kaening. Only to comeback 5 hours later and build 10 golems and pvdoor while everyone is asleep. See I’d post screenshots of the dozens of times I’ve taken BPs stuff this week while it was completely undefended but then I might come off as a pretentious kitten. I really do hope all the money BP has downed on golem zergs paysback in T4.

Me too &AR! I hope one of them moves up or we go back down. This EB/DR vs BP crap is very tiresome. Please note that in no way am I saying that we are being double teamed but in spirit, on the forums and on the battle field I can feel the hatred towards us from both servers.

BTW…I apologize…I normally try to make more positive posts but I had a bad day at work.

I for one don’t hold anything against you guys personally. I’d like to see you guys go on and do better than we did up there. I know at least you guys have more than what it takes to take on Crystal Desert. We had them well in hand ourselves until they too pulled an all night capping rampage. Again, I’m not necessarily blaming you guys for exploiting a now blatant weakness of ours, it is what it is. Consolidation of our forces is merely something we as a server must work on apparently. I’m already night/morning crew as is, but once is potentially lucky, twice is a noticeable pattern. I’m saying they did it first, and the difference between you and them is, it’s the only reason they beat us. Folks in my server may dislike what I’m about to say, but numbers show that even without the 6k lead you guys took with that first night-cap, you’re still quite soundly ahead of us.

All that said, I’m still skeptical you guys won’t be back here in a few weeks though. I still don’t see you beating the likes of Yaks Bend or Maguuma, as I’ve stated before. By all means prove me wrong if you can. Everyone talks kitten on some of your Commanders, like Kalkz for instance. I personally like what I’ve seen from them on the field (still not so sure about the golem thing though, with the aggro’ed worker and all. Seems far-fetched that some guy with a work hammer is going to hold up a keep capping lol). My fears however are still that you guys are just like us in the fact that you’re stuck somewhere between T4 and T5.

I often question any server that wants to go to T3+…. Seems like a lot of 24/7zerging/ no real good fights to be had. It turns into a giant numbers game, and while it may somewhat be that in t4/5 you get a healthier mix of various fights IE some solo roamers, small roaming groups as well as decent sized zergs. Im fairly content with where we are atm.

My thinking is DR will either rally and balance the tier or AR will move up again balancing the tier. I expect Ehmry Bay will remain green/big dog as it’s likely you have a few folks taking a wvw break after dropping.

Yes it would be nice to move up a tier but at the same time I do not want to be Zerg rush every time I step out of my spawn (I have had enough of that), I love it here with you guys (DR & EB) and I loved it with (AR & NSP), this tier is where I love to fight.

These tiers are where you better yourself and better your server, it builds unity among the ranks and guilds. So lets keep up the good fighting and I welcome the fights ahead from what ever server enters this tier.

Also I’m happy to be Blue again my favorite keep in and side in Enteral Battlegrounds (also my favorite color).

Good luck to both servers wherever you guys end up.

In the end, well fought. Was a great WvW this week. We [BP] had a lot to show seeing we came up from a lower tier, and I think that we’ve proved our point, will be the same match-up this upcoming week. Should be quite close seeing we’ve learned this and that about the other servers.

I do, however, want to know…

And, I’m pretty sure groups like [Sekz] and [ECHO] don’t give a kitten about who actually wins these matchups since who wins is not based upon who has the better players overall.

Sekz actually plays wvw to my knowledge not sure about echo. If they dont enjoy the WvW meta why would they switch servers. Lower tiers have open field combat if that’s all folks are looking to play.

Had some good fun roaming in ebay borderlands, at one point I was defending our only ppt source in all of wvw, sry to those 3 upleveled guys that i stomped over a 5 minute period at faithleap, i didnt really want DR to have nothing on any map.

Anyway, went to EB, wasn’t much action so i decided to try to solo cap langor, turns out ranger can do it without too much trouble (5+ mins of dodge spam after ~5 mins of cataing down the wall, but fun), it was funny /waving at that one ebay guy standing on top of the gate while i flipped the cap.

Honorless Shaman (one of our commanders, nice working with you)turned up after that, and we managed to paint DR’s third of EB blue once again, with basically no resistance except those 5 guys that ambushed us at QL, obviously BP has some people atm as there were orange swords for OL and SM.

Did some last minute roaming in BP BL just before I left, but I was basically shut down by that mesmer, you know who you are

All in all, a fun day of wvw for me, hopefully no one loses their morale over the coming weeks of this matchup and it stays pretty similar.

I can’t agree with you more about how much more healthier/fun these lower tiers are from the top. We just had a small group of us transfer off of JQ to come to EB. It is completely refreshing being able to do something as a small group and not run into a zerg of 80 people to stop 5 and then dance on our corpses like it was some awesome display of skill.

Lmao! Anet reminds us that in the end, they pwn all with a full build reset… XD

I’m sort of worried (and yet hopeful regarding map completion) that DR will be dropping down a tier the week after, assuming Anvil Rock continues trouncing IoJ. Personally, I think this week was the best DR can currently put out, and while our WvW guilds can certainly only get better, it’s… well, it’s our fairweathers. They like to trickle away, until we get a new opponent, and then they all charge back in again.

Though at least our server is getting better, as opposed to just mass abandoning everything… and the militia are starting to carry supplies too! It was still a tad embarrassing to see our militia auto attacking a gate when there was a ram just sitting there, waiting to get used.

But! While I do want those nice green vistas, I don’t intend to give your servers any less of a fight this week.

And BP, tell your uplevels to stop picking fights with me. I sort of feel bad when I kill such courageous people charging into a hopeless fight. (Also, BP, can you stop carrying all these kitten spikes? I swear it’s only EBay that carry badges….)

[ECHO] plays WvW but we serve a different purpose. we kill players not gates.

I think this is true of most servers. I suspect we’ll all see a spike after the new WvW patch, and then it will be up to Anet as to whether or not they drift away again.

We don’t consistently get wiped. You probably wipe our Karma Trains thinking, hell yea, they suck. Nah, run into us on reset nights when we ALL are actually running on mains and see what happens, oh wait I’ve got recorded footage of that, I’ll have to share it.

It doesn’t matter who’s zerg owns who’s. 3 Thieves can wipe a 40man easy anyways, it doesn’t take much.

That certainly explains why you’re always losing terribly at the end of the reset night (even in T6), and only ever pull ahead the on the first weekday as kitten’oclock.

This guy… golem rushes EB at noontime on reset day when there is no chance of the positions changing.. you are trying way too hard to compensate for something… ah well, I’ll continue wiping your primetime zergs with half your numbers only to watch them disappear and go pvdoor a borderland. I guess bp has unlocked the secret prize of winning t5. Eventually they will join SBIs club of superior tactics and skill in t4.

Hey, to each thier own. If a commander take pride in taking towers defended by five players over defeating enemies in even numbered fights, I say let them be proud. Points are points are points. It’s obviously worked for them this week, and not everyone is in it for the fighting. Those of us who actually enjoy being pitted head to head against similarly sized forced to see who comes out on top should respect that playstyle as well because it’s here to stay. Just keep it in your pants when you do end up taking an undefended borderland… wouldn’t want that pride to shrivel up when you’ve actually got competition.

That’s not necessarily an attack on any of you BP players, but that’s the kind of playstyle we’ve been dealing with on our end of things all week from you guys. EBay has a long tradition of having “siege donation drives” where we portal masses of people through jumping puzzles and donate siege to active commanders. We also gather siege through map chat before raids and resets. For the most part the system has kept many of our commanders well supplied and little comes out of their own pockets except for upgrades (which are often even just paid for by donations from guilds).

That isn’t to say a lot of players put a lot of their own personal resources into siege and upgrades, but these drives do help to cut down the costs for these individuals by a lot. There’s not too much pride from to be had from riding the pocketbooks of other players, so luckily that isn’t the case a lot of the time.

Just want to throw a thank you out to you, Faux Sheaux, for your diplomatic words, above. I’d hate to see competition turn into something truly ugly because people don’t have any tolerance for different playstyles.

I’m not a PVP maven … very far from it. Yet I’ve been made to feel welcome and that I can contribute in some small way to these week long competitions. I came to WvW originally for map completion and kept coming back because I found I was having fun. I’m usually building siege, or running for my life, but either way I’m having a good time.

I just want to say that even though we’re at war, there’s no reason to get all rabid and ugly in the forums. Encouraging interaction here and trying to understand the other side’s motivations can be part of what makes the game interesting and engaging.

Anyway, I hope everyone has more fun than frustration ahead of them in WvW in the weeks to come. Enjoy!

I never said I was mad. I said you wait a couple hours for us to leave a map before you storm it and brag on the forums about how great you are and how terrible we are… which you do. Also, I’d suggest keeping a few of your followers on a leash. It hurts your chances to pull of a successful golem rush when a random invader I just 1v1’d decides to add me to party and brag to me about how you guys are planning a golem rush in a certain place at a certain time. It doesn’t seem like very good tactics to tell your opponent your plans.

Also, you missed something above. I’m sure you meant to say “I wake up, rally people, cap everything, and shove my ego down everyone’s throat on the forums with posts about how bad they are because I stormed empty keeps.” It’s alright though, we can let that one slide.

I don’t care if you night cap. That’s part of the game. You’re just so loud about it.
