Today when I played eotm just for fun didnt that for over 1 month I thought that it would be cool idea to change normal maps on www . If we keep the idea that red are badlands etc we can create desert map,frost map and jungle map. On every map devs will change textures for snow sand etc and all keeps towers would be defended by kodash,ogre npc . I think that change like that is much easier then creating completly 3 new maps but it will bring some new fresh feeling to www . There would be also possibility to change bloodlust buffs for example when you control it on frost map , controlers have 5% dmg reduce (this kodash armor or whatever it is called )

Apparently it takes them more than a year to make a single map (according to them). Their WvW team is evidently super small.

Considering that it’s been 2 years and that we have 1 new map (EOTM), making 3 bl maps would probably take them 5 years at the current pace…

Considering that it’s been 2 years and that we have 1 new map (EOTM), making 3 bl maps would probably take them 5 years at the current pace…

He means just to change the types of guards outside the structures, and give the maps a “theme” so instead of green/white like we currently have, the textures would by swapped for themed (already existing) textures, such as desert rocks/sand, snow/ice, and green/jungle

I posted the same suggestion a while back, along with EB being tuned up to have the transitioning terrains toward respective border and implementing the new weather system (ie snowstorm on ice border, sandstorm o desert border and fog on jungle border).

It would give each border a more unique appearance, while keeping the terrain across them.

Highly unlikely to ever happen though. Anet will either surprise us with something that no one want (which may be good) or nothing at all, thats how WvW patches work.

Yh excatly they already have these textures so it`s only proces of switching it , easier then creating new map and it always brings something new

LOL. Also remember how it took 1 year to create a kick button for groups and 6 months to change the color of borderlands from blue to bright blue.

At this point, this will never happen, let’s just be realistic here. It’s not like ANet is an underachiever kid who just needs to pull together and finish their final homework,. Ignoring WvW is a finance/business decision.
Better turn your attention towards Camelot Unchained.
