300 Inspiration
Lol what… xD.
So, did they get random loot drops in ancient times? kitten . Sounds like a nice gig. Kill a Persian and get a claw. Kill an Athenian? Rare for you.
You’ve been watching too much movies. In real life… I mean in virtual world, that does not happen in GW2. You are no match for 10 vs 1 in any single outings.
With the kittenty loottables 300 spartans still wouldnt get a single precursor from 300,000 persians, so you better believe they want that MF.
How do you know they didn’t have increased magic, gold, and experience? And they definitely didn’t have to pay for repairs.

Ah but Remember the Alamo! Were they actually fighting Santa Anna’s overwhelming force for the experience or gold? No, they fought for a free Texas and that ideal pushed those few defenders to fight braver, harder and with more ferocity!
Throughout history a few have stood up against many and although they may have fallen they were inspired to fight harder because they were fighting for their homelands, their freedom.
So why do we get a useless buff such as more magic find and experience over something that will actually allow us to fight harder against overwhelming odds?
Remember the Alamo!
lol… btw you do remember that the 300 had unparalleled organization and training. Also the thermopylae was a superior tactical position for defence. A choke-point. It’s what we actually also do. The only difference is that persians couldn’t actually run through them like in the game. (Actually I want to confirm this, if everyone in the defence has the “Melee Attack Assist” on, will the enemy be able to pass through them?). Also i agree with this opinion too. As the match ups are right now, the losing side must have a serious buff on them because its getting boring otherwise.

Now do you think they were excited about more magic find and the fact that their armor would not take damage!
If they could rez at a waypoint and get back into the battle, fresh, and collect their loot bags, they just might have been. =)

I fart in your general direction
so you want a pep talk instead?
I happen to know a certain scholar of Orr who could probably manage that ….. For hours and hours

Oh please no! Anyone but the tree Fern! After 8 level 80’s I now turn off the sound whenever he begins one of his speeches. How he inspired anyone without putting them to sleep or driving them to jump over a cliff I will never know.
Should give all people on outmanned borderlands ascended gear or free gear to test things idk.

Yes. But if all in the offence has it checked and they each target the defender they’re about to pass they can’t get through.
So in all fairness we should all switch that on and always target the people in front of us. Sort of voluntary body block just because it’s fair, right?

but throughout history they had permadeath,
but throughout history they had permadeath,
you don’t plan on complaining on the cosmic forum that is the afterlife?
I miss body blocking from GW1
Imagine a wall of warriors using shield stance to block ppl from coming through while behind them ranged ppl shoot down those that are blocked at the wall?
Flanking and pincer attacks would be so much more lethal.

Im all for 300 inspiration so long as you dispatch someone you can trust to the goat path.
I also miss body blocking. With these numbers in a video game though it wouldn’t work. It especially wouldn’t work the the level of complainers video gamers are now a days.
IMO pincer attacks and flanking are still as lethal as they should be even without body blocking. If you can coordinate with your other commanders right a good pincer or ambush can be devastating.
They could body block. They had the option to place themselves in the way. We don’t have that option. Best we can do is dump a whole lot of damage in the spot and hope to do something when they stability double dodge past us.
