The new live scores and live maps are simply amazing. How is it that the ANET themselves can’t do something like this to begin with?

I mean it’s taking them forever to even do proper leaderboards for kills, World rank, etc.

Heck, there’s even an app for live updates for the score and map.

It says they’re updating it with help from the API ArenaNet made, so Anet can do a live ranking, but they just dont want to. Probably because this site is already so widely used, it would literally be a waste of time+money to create their own. They’re better off helping the site that’s already here and keeping their own ranking nobody uses ^^

Their development time is better spent making/improving ingame features. Providing sufficient API (like they’re starting to do now) for fans to make tools is a much more efficient way of doing things, plus fans LOVE making tools, so you make them happy as well.

Keep it up Anet, loving the new API!

ANET tried to do ranking, sucked horribly, and then did what most of us have been saying since the start, and a lesson from DAoC, and just provide the data and let fans take it from there.
