Hi guys,

Great fun tonight on KBL. Had a blast running around with the Naked Zerg listening to Karaoke Music on Teamspeak. Have to say, I enjoyed going head to head with you guys from TC and FA, you made Commanding very difficult during our off-hours. We look forward to seeing/fighting you guys again in the future.

Also, big thanks to whoever organized the Fight Club below. The FA Squire Elementalist from Vindico Knights was amazing. I loved watching you fight!

Jayne, I never got any of your cookies, but my teammates say they’re really good. Please send me some at your earliest convenience.

Lots of fun this week, when I had the time to play anyway. I for one will miss our Kaineng brothers next match. I hope you stay strong and move back up! See you next week again FA, and looking forward to DB and all the new tactics they’ll bring at us.

Food for thought: If TC is desperate to get to T1 as some claim, then why would no one bother to show up for the last few days of the matchup knowing we’ve already won? Wouldn’t we use our opponents low morale and thus low turnout to grind out more rating?

Why burn out the night before reset? TC isn’t quite covered for T1 anyway. We’ll get the points when we are.

T1 for TC ?
I don’t think so….. Not yet!
Although it would be fun for a day or two, we do not have enough people during off NA time to handle tier 1. We are also very disorganized compared to the other T1 servers.
WE have some really good commanders out in the field but only a few that know how to face and battle zurg vs zurg. Which is key in T1!
We also lack in communication, although it has been getting better we still need the full map together as one. Not everyone running a zurg but able to quickly and accurately relay info.

There are a few commanders doing training on Thursdays and Fridays before reset. Please join with them to help make TC even better and eventually a T1 server.

Good point, but… that was also said when we moved to T2 and yet we’re still here.

I am not specifically aiming to get to T1, but I do wonder how it would be there.

Will we lose in points? Yes, we will.

Will we also lose in ranking? Maybe.

But I am not so sure.

In the current match, FA has 62 ranking less than TC, they are losing with 100,000 points from TC but they only lose 10 ranking. Currently, TC has 100 ranking less tha the 2nd in T1. I would be very surprised if we lose with much more than 100k in T1.

So, I doubt that with the current ranking score, TC would lose a lot of rankings when TC goes to T1.

Not that I really WANT TC to go to T1, but I am not against it either. What’s the worse that can happen?

The T1 servers are either gaining strength or already too strong to begin with. Doesn’t really matter when nobody is going to displace the top 3 without some massive shakeup.

I feel like a ratings re-balance would be nice. Not a reset, because the loser of T2 shouldn’t drop to T7, but some of the gaps between the tiers are just ridiculous. TC going to T1 would be a nice change.

Not that we would do much better against BG or SoR, but just a change of scenery would be nice. And the T1/T2 gap is nowhere near the worst.

You are very observant! why is FA only 60 points behind us if we beat them by 60,0000? The reason is how they score each server. FA when they are equally matched in people has done a very good job keeping us on our heals and defending our territory not attacking. Their zurg has been strong and tough to beat. Being the aggressor is part of the scoring. Yes we are out pointing them each week but we have NOT gained a lot of ranking points. I believe they take outmanned into account which happens a lot for FA. (I am not sure)
If FA gives us a hard time when we are equally matched what do you think will happen when the rolls are reversed, not with 1 but with 2 servers constantly on the attack? These are servers that live and breathe WvW 24/7 – 365 days a year!
The points I made earlier are why we cant compete with them for the long hall, YET!!!!. Yes maybe for a day or 2.
Could we learn something from them? Yes most defiantly! We learned so much facing WM/CO/RISE from Kain.
Remember they used to beat us pretty good!

Yup I was in WvW yesterday when we took the EB map. Both Kain and FA were outmanned! We golum rushed the entire map.

lol how soon folks forget. We were the doormat of Tier 2 for weeks upon weeks. We were stepped on, pushed around, knocked down. Every morning I’d wake up and zone into TCBL to see that one lone tower — and the rest awash in a sea of (green) usually. And we’d start allll over again with reclaiming the map, and upgrading, escorting yaks, etc.

But we kept getting back up. That’s the key.

I personally have zero desire to hit Tier 1. Not even the slightest bit of curiosity about it. All my friends who have gone there have told me “you never want Tier 1.” I believe them, lol.

Blackgate left Tier 2 Two Month ago. It’s time to move on.

Oh it wasn’t just Blackgate .. it was SoR .. and Kain … every morning. Green map. Then the uphill battle to reclaim and re-upgrade.

This went on for months.

But I think it was a good thing. Taught us to toughen up and not give up.

Yeah, uh, well... I have a lil TV by my PC so I watched the NFL draft while playing last night.

And that’s my excuse for walking that golem out of the Pangloss cave into the FA zerg that was hiding in the hollow when TC took the tower there. I was thinking greedy ez thoughts of getting that vista and the one in the keep next, to finish the EB map. I was watching the Draft, didn’t notice the tower flip during the walk out and didn’t notice the zerg in time either.

Or as the one guy said in map chat "worst golem timing ever".

It was my own golem blueprints, whew. I did check to make sure all the catapults and carts were built before going back to make the golem at the supply camp.

I wish I could say I went down laughing, but it was more of a "ha ha.. ha.. sigh.. oh wait, I can waypoint.. oh.. too late.. sigh.. ha ha ha BAKA!" down laughing. Next time I’ll attempt to reorder that to "waypoint.. ha ha.. baka.."

What’s your fondest memories of Kain?

Here are mine:

• Shaka’s artwork
• Looking up to see garrison contested, people yell out they see nothing .. finally wander back to the watergate (nobody had checked), only to see two Kain coming up the steps in golem costumes … the two (without benefit of a zerg) had diligently managed to get down the first gate and were dutifully plodding up the steps to take the back gate.
• Groaning after waking up and seeing our entire TCBL entirely green .. yet again — for weeks on end. Kain had been there. *shakes fist
• epic three-way fights in SM with Blackgate/Kain/TC …
• Getting a visual cue that WM was nearby when my screen started to stutter and my fps dropped into the negatives — sure enough by the time I saw them all, I was face-down in the dirt.
• Naked zerg!
• Silke’s Christopher Walken impressions!
• JudgeD’s wry humour

And who can forget this? Pure genius Silke … pure genius!

There was someone on a mortar near the red keep in EB and that KN guy never missed me, 6 shots in a row, with me romping around a hilly area nearby. Spooky good aim. I want his eyes. In the good way. Not the bad way.

Good times with KN and FA in EB. Sure had fun while it lasted! Thanks for the fun night RUN and Laud.

I will always have the fond halcyon days type memories of our time in T2. It was nothing short of spectacular! I’m really sad that in the last three weeks I’ve been unable to spend any serious time in the game, and I’ve had to resort to skulking about on here reading. But, you guys and gals are always great entertainment.

Here’s a few things I am going to miss:

The Beards: Furious and White.. you guys are sooooo funny! I always get the most insane images while reading your posts. Razor wits the pair of ya The term “Sonic Beards” will forever be a part of my jargon. (personal props to Shaka for this)

Jayne: You are such a kind and witty woman, and I am proud to call you friend. ~For teh coookies!~

WyldKat: You have redefined funny and quirky for me.

All of our WvWing Guilds on Kai: You have given me experiences I never would have imagined when I first DL’d this game. I am constantly amazed at the dedication and knowledge you all display and share so willingly for us militia folks.

Our Opponents TC/BG and FA: You’ve been relentless, infuriating and head on keyboard frustrating! and I thank you all for it! Without fierce competitors, this part of the game would be predictable and dull (sorta like dungeon bosses hehehe), and thankfully you’re not. Fortunately I’ve learned to embrace the spike and take away the lessons I am supposed to learn from it. I wish you all precursors from my loot bags and many good fights. Oh… and I’ll be seeing you all again.. mark my words!

Ah spawn camping. Never liked it. Was brutal when WM would do it to us for hours and hours, complete with 10 ballistas and a ton of ACs … At all exits. … Always seems to happen on eb.

But yeah, not a fan.

TC sure has changed in the past two weeks. I am not sure if I want or like it. But look at our score!

I don’t know these people. Maybe I just have not been WvW’ing enough. 6 days a week for 6+ hours…

Don’t worry, seems like other people still don’t know that the reset isn’t in one hour, judging by how that thread is going.

For the record, I’m not in game now … Haven’t been for hours. But rest assured if I saw spawn camping I would have yelled —- and have in the past.

I hated it when WM did it to us, so I know how frustrating it is.
