CHAR is a LBGT friendly guild and we will fight tooth and claw(Get it because we are all Charr! lol!) to make sure games are a friendly place no matter what gender, religion or orientation a person is. It’s up to us to get rid of these negative stereotypes.

No, we seldom ran into Sekz and to be quite honest what I’ve seen from them they don’t really do much that’s cool, they’re just another mob of players slightly more organized than a zerg, very boring and individually from what I’ve seen from them they aren’t as good when you catch them in tiny groups as opposed to when they run around in their guild zerg. Just another guild of zerglings to me which only drew my attention because their guild name was offensive.

As someone who has GM’d for other MMOs in the past, I find the idea that a guild would be disbanded for an (arguably) inappropriate name completely absurd and ham fisted.
There’s no reason a GM could not simply force rename a guild and then have the leader petition with a new one.
Sadly, knowing how this business works, I doubt they will ever admit any fault in this situation, but I hope that at some point they reconsider this absurd policy. I. Have heard other disappointing examples of Anet policy, but this is by far the worst.

I think they have about as much control over everything in game as a GM does over his/her guild. Er… that’s not saying much. I really hope that one day they will expand all of their tools.
On an interesting side note: they can’t delete a specific item and re-create another specific item (even though it’s easy to get that item ID). I honestly think that they sacrificed some of the admin stuff to push out better “clean” content for the players.

I have good news for everybody. While their guild has been forcibly disbanded, all players of Sekz are just fine, and they’re planning on making a new guild for their grand return. They’re currently in another one until then though, so hopefully we can see the grand return of Sekz (who won’t be by that name, but they’ll forever be Sekz to us).

lol…. I go have a late lunch, and come back to an infraction. I swear I get infractions, just because. My children must have some serious thick skin, because I have to really watch what I say on these forums, and can’t use how I talk around the house.
You can’t say much of anything on these forums without getting your comments deleted. I’m sure THIS will be deleted for some “off topic” reason or some such, with an infraction to follow. Can’t have anyone speaking out!
What really kills me is that they’ll delete comments that put morons in their place. People will spew a bunch of garbage or troll talking about how they’ve reported such-and-such guild and caused them to be deleted but anyone who shoots a bunch of holes in that person’s behavior and absurd ideology has their posts deleted.
This is one of “those” forums, where you can say something as horrible and condescending as you’d like, and as long as you phrase it properly, Anet is okay with it. But if you call someone out on being a kitten, watch out! We can fill one map, so if the majority of the fights are on one map, we’re happy campers.

Whatever you guys think of any particular person or guild on EBay or what you think of yourselves as individuals or guilds, the fact remains, even with saboteurs causing us to be siege capped 90% of the time in Eternal and frequently in our own Borderland, we still prevailed with an over 42k point lead.

Grow up. Your group (and I mean [CHAR]) of young kids maliciously planned and attacked another group outside of WvW because you continually got face stomped.

We CHAR were offended by Sekz guild name, we send our concerns to Arena.net and then arena.net acted on those concerns as well as I am sure many others brought up by people in the present and past.
To say we are at fault for being the victims is not right, we don’t go around being sexually offensive to others online like Sekz did (INCLUDING MINORS). Unfortunately as their guild name reflected this they did, and that is something arena.net didn’t want in their wholesome family fun video game.
In the end CHAR did not BAN sekz, sekz made errors in judgement and arena.net ban sekz. The blame should lie solely on Sekz and everyone should rage at them for getting banned

In the end the reason why sekz was banned was because Arena.net made the choice to ban them for what I assume to be a long track history of offensive behavior of lying, cheating, and stealing.
