hello to our old friends/enemies at SBI and hello to CD

SoS, we meet again.

There’ve been some interesting fights so far. I’ve got to give credit to CD and SBI for coming out strong. I’m just rather concerned that this is going to end up one-sided if we’re allowed to do this every day…

I’m pretty sure this will only last till CD SEA logs in. We’re used to that by now, with Jq, keineng, and db taking and holding everything for 12 + hours every day. all the top tiers have a powerful Asian time zone server, and there is a reason for that.

That would be your only weak link now, no? You have a strong na, one of the best oceanic and the best eu outside t1. (Doesnt mean much, no one has any euros)

Hmm, ahead by almost 1k 2:15 eastern and wake up, log in 8 hours later and SoS is last place to 13k ahead. Guess we’ll see how tonight goes but I have a feeling that first place will be decided by tonight. Fight for second place should be interesting though, hopefully we can cling on to that. That 3 way fight at Hills on the SoS borderlands was pretty epic last night (at around 1-2am EST).

Trying to defend against both SBI and SoS was difficult. All 3 servers fighting each other on the outer wall was so funny.

wow this thread is quite, fun fact for yall there are more tier 1 wins in this matchup then any other right now.

Well, I made the mistake of trying to keep up with the old matchup thread. Sooo much talk. I like these guys. Log in, fight, log out. 1 line post on forums.

I just hope there’s good weeknight roaming in this matchup. I had some really fun < 5 person fights with Mag.

have not seen much small groups yet, my 5man kept hitting 10-15 sized cd groups. Shout out to the nasty mesmer and bunker ele duo from GDAM, you guys are hard to kill (im the norn warrior with volcanus)

Had a great time hopping maps today and fighting to keep SoS ppt lead most of the day during EU/NA timezone. Looking forward to the rest of the week.

Some great fights this reset weekend. Some terrific defences and some valiant last ditch tries to prevent Tower flips. ( good to see garrisons held over reset night )

All in all a very good weekend. SoS had many fresh WvW ers playing this weekend and I hope all three servers enjoy the week and continue to turn out to WvW.

We lost our wp on garrison so running around trying to hit you guys is like playing whack-a-mole with the 10-15 people. It was fun though.

Props to CD for some good fights!

As for SBI….I haven’t gone a day without one of you guys doing /laugh at something. Come on now. :/

Sorry to turn the tone of the thread. Our T3 towers on SoS border got exploited into. There were no swords. No siege used to hit walls/doors. They both flipped at 7:45pm server timer. Wasnt able to get screen but just fyi to CD please look at it if you can.

[FEAR] and friends run a pretty small roaming group in the borderlands nightly. Look for us when you’re roaming. We enjoy the good skirmishes!

From what I understand/have heard, no-one saw the towers being flipped – no swords came up and it was a quiet time of day (for a BL we had basically on lockdown) so the first scout arrived a minute or two afterwards. Whilst conceivably a single ram might’ve been destroyed by the guards whilst the lord was being attacked, they were flipped so closely together with no visible siege that it was somewhat unlikely that it had been done in a legitimate manner.

I don’t think anyone takes anything maguuma says seriously, luckily it looks like they will be in tier 3 for at least a month given the way the score evolutions are panning out.

Can you take a look at your KoME (has weird ascii characters too) guild from CD?

There were multiple instances the past few hours where a dead mesmer from said guild would get rezzed through the gate and port people in to cap towers without siege.

Overall I find CD to be very good fighters and don’t abuse stuff like this. I would not wish for you guys to have your good reputation tarnished by such a minority of your server.

I love SoS already! Yesterday I kept contesting their keep for a couple hours, running away whenever someone was trying to kill me, eventually a group of SoS’s party me and they say “Please stop running away, I just want to hug you and my little legs are getting tired.” I couldn’t help it and loled for a while.

Same thing happened with Mags but their comment was more like “OMG YOU NEWB STOP RUNNING COWARD!1!!”

Reset night was really fun in EB. SM was flipped so many times and the score remained fairly close. Our EB Zerg was just rolling both SoS and CD all night Friday. Can’t remember a single time we got wiped. There was a good 2 hours straight where the SoS zerg in EB was running from the Bannok train.

I logged back in Saturday afternoon and SoS, who was in last place has a 10k+ lead. The rest of Saturday and Sunday was us with out manned buff flickering off and on, with CD and SoS with big zergs in EB. It was rough at times fighting off two big zergs but this is the crazy nature of EB.

CD always does well on reset weekend numbers. They can compete with Magzerma. Had no idea about SoS numbers but they seem to have plenty of SEA/Oceanic guilds? We know that during the week CD numbers drop plenty and they struggle. SBI numbers tend to go up during NA 6pm-midnight but we will lose even more points during the day do to lack of coverage. SOS will win their for the first time since they left tier 1.

Besides SOS, SBI has almost consistent coverage all the time. It’s just that sometimes, you guys play to safe.

I’m actually from CD, and unfortunately KoME has a history of leaving dead Mesmers in front of the inner side of gates to portal exploit. It’s also something they’ve defended in the past as “a clever use of game mechanics”. Sadly…apart from this, I’ve always considered KoME a very respectable and friendly guild and dislike that they’re tarnishing their reputation like this.

I report when I can, though I doubt it’s a suspendable offense. Though, probably hypocritical from me since I have a thing for chain-contesting keeps with a single cluster bomb.

hahaha yes, you were definitely toying with us but I enjoyed playing with you – trying to spot where you’d come up and getting off a fruitless moa morph just to watch you dodge off a cliff and Descent of Shadows to who-knows-where. It absolutely amazes me how much ground you can cover with stealth – general chatter was wondering if you were telehacking. I’m not much of a wvw or pvp player but I had fun with that (admittedly pointless) game of cat and mouse.

That aside, I don’t think it should be so easy to contest the waypoint!

Although I enjoy the thrill of contesting and running away from 5 to 10 angry players, I do agree with you, contesting shouldn’t be so easy. Also, tip! Don’t keep running on the same direction the thief was running to when he hid, we never keep going that way. :p

I am Mag. We experienced the north tower flipping almost every day of last week’s match and I learned a bit from it.

I understand the need to motivate your own server by bending the truth a little,

BUT I prefer to just tell it as I see it,

In the 12-15 Hrs after reset;

I saw some great fights, wiped some groups, got wiped by some groups. Had some good small force contests and generally saw a fairly well matched contest. SoS was in third place for at least the first 7-8 hrs.

Yesterday I again saw some great fights, some good open field fighting and stubborn defence from all sides. It is a totally different game when BLs are not being swept by 70 man zergs and I am enjoying it. I hope the fun continues.

Lol, a better tip is to just not chase thieves. If you chase the same direction, the thief will see this and go a different direction. If you chase a different direction, the thief will see this and go the same direction.

What happened to SoS? Last time I remember they were winning(or at least fighting strong in) tier 1.

I don’t mean to bring drama, I’m honestly curious as to what happened. We just had a new born(two weeks early) two months ago so I’ve really been out of the whole WvW scene.

I don’t remember how long ago Anet opened free transfers to medium servers, was that what happened?
