Guild Wars 2

After reading a fair number of the posts regarding the “problems” in WvW like night capping, orbs, and reduced player participation when behind I figured I would offer a suggestion like everybody else……

If all zones were reset and players brought back to the starting points at regular intervals (including orb possession) it would do several things.

1) Even if your world was behind it would provide “meaning” or at least an even footing in the world.

2) It would keep the scores closer. While the stronger server would win because of superior play it would also keep the scores numerically closer by limiting 24 hour map domination.

3) Loosing worlds would be incentivised to try to make up ground by coming on strong at the next reset.

Resets could be regular like 6 or 8 hours or irregular 5 or 7 hours. It would depend how having a regular or semi-random time would effect play.

A general suggestion would be to have a way to show estimated wait times to enter WvW. This would really help populate the lower traffic areas and also make it easier for groups to decide where to join.

W3 is not supposed to be ‘balanced’ thats what SPvP is for….
W3 is a 24/7 ongoing war, no ‘resets’ in war….
Resetting W3 would mean zerg rushing the portals
Night capping doesnt exist – its a myth

Noone would ever claim and upgrade a keep if it was going to be reset a couple of hours later anyway.

We’re just getting around to people putting in WP’s into the keeps for the week matches. 8 hours matches and it will be just zerg cap, no upgrading just get what ya can as fast as you can.
