A change for score system
Uhg… another score thread. Scoring isn’t the problem and it never was. They can keep changing how we count crap in WvW but it won’t change population imbalances, coverage issues, etc.
How about we put more energy into making the mode more fun to play and stop mucking with how we are counting the widgets.

They have to come up with a calculation whereby an enemy zerg grants there world reduced points on capture to a minimum. So a zerg who caps and empty tower where they outman they other 2 opponents would get say 1 point at the consecutive ticks, versus 8 or so, and if it upgrades to t2, then bump the points back up to 8.
While if a 5 man team goes in and they don’t draw out the outmanned buff on the 2 opponents, the empty cap would count for 8 points.
This kinda change would show varying results, but I would assume this would help destack some of the heavier servers.
I know I could think it through more, but … just the kinda idea I would suggest. This way, it will affect ‘night cappers’ and ultimately let’s say ‘day cappers’ for any battles where a server has very little players versus a overwhelming enemy force.
They could just all break off into teams of 5 and cap at full points, but I haven’t thought it out entirely.

If they wanted to fix zerging (and I don’t think they do), they could simply make each objective a fixed amount of points divided by the number of players taking it. That would certainly put a massive dent in zerging but would also kill WvW since few would progress.
I also think for every 20 players in close proximity they could put a zerg speed debuf in place of an additive 10%.
We could get radical and have friendly fire.

You can separate the warscore, versus the WXP reward track. Make the warscore take the hit, while the WXP could be whatever they wanted. This way if Anet tends to lean on heavy zerging … then keep the wxp gain on par as it is, just reduce the servers warscore. Sure use the calc (players/objective warscore total) – this would basically mean 1 warscore point for 8+ players taking it.
People don’t progress from warscore, so they shouldn’t feel shafted, as they get exactly what they got before. Just matchup points get closer.
I’m supportive of friendly fire, at least for an April fools kinda fun themed event. Maybe restrict the npc guards from it though, or hell… make it universal and see how many rings stay up. Still would be lots of fun.
