A solution to Baruch Bay linking problem
Baruch Bay can´t be link with other server. Lenguage problem and stuffs.
So, we are weak against the link servers. On the other hand, Baruch Bay is a PVE server, so not all the people play WvW.
Transfer to Baruch Bay cost 1800 gems. And that is a lot of money for WvWers.
¿Solution? Easy.
Give to the spanish people that are in other servers a free transfer only to Baruch Bay.
Of course, the players would be free to go to Baruch Bay, or stay in other servers.
There’s no such thing as a “PvE server” for the purposes of determining the population status. It’s entirely based on WvW participation and takes into account how long people play. BB is marked as “very high” (and costs 1800 gems to transfer to) because there are a lot of people who WvW there.
Now that doesn’t mean that when you play that BB is bringing the same numbers as its opponents, but there’s no nuance to the population status: it does not take into account when people play, just how many.

If you open that free transfer door for one thing, you need to open it for others. If the Spanish player want to transfer they should pay just like everyone else.
Someone suggested that they pool the national servers about if they would like to be turned unto international servers or not. Maybe Arena Net should ask them instead of keeping the language barrier and it would remove one of the issues with EU pairings.

Since the linking happened, Baruch Bay has not been lower than #10. That’s not weak.

Welcome to the Club, German Servers are in the same boat. While in Germany it is common that people, specially younger people speak english (which is why i can´t understand that Anet refuses the linking in our case) , how is that in Spain ? Would it be theoretically possible to link you an international server or do you think that wouldn´t work ?
Young people would vote yes, for linking with international server.
But, not everybody konws english, especially the ones that are 40 years old.

BB is the only server in the current matchups that is close to the #1 server to the point either could win the matchup.
What is the problem?
Not that I disagree with the plan, I dont see any issues as long as BB isnt full.
