I would like to say thank you to FA and SoS for the many great fights they have given us this week, considering the tough situation they have been in for a long time now (Ive been there I know its rough). Many of us have consistently commented on the nice fights you have given us, and we were happy to see you had people actually show up this week to put up fights, defend etc. Good luck to both your servers and hope to see you both rebuild

I posted this on the cesspool, but felt I should post it here as well after seeing your post:

I needed to post and say thank you to Blackgate for being respectful opponents for the most part this week. We know you all didn’t want to be here anymore than we did. None of us asked for this situation, it is what it is at this point. But WvW has been more fun this past week than it has been in months for me and for that I felt the need to say something here. I’m sure any on SoS will tell you they’ve heard me laugh and enjoy the game more this week than they have in quite a while. I know a lot of you didn’t play, sorry for the week being boring overall. We brought what we could and hope it made the week enjoyable for those on BG that came to play. So anyway, thank you.

I would like to echo these sentiments as well. During NA time you guys have certainly come out in your numbers.

I personally wouldn’t hate having to spend another week in Tier 2 if it came to that due to RNG roll, but I guess you guys probably want to see the back of us by now. :-)

No, I think I speak for all on SoS that you all would be welcomed back warmly if this style play continued. Our options for opponents are limited at the moment and all of them outnumber us. It’s nice to find one that doesn’t feel the need to ram those numbers down our throats day in and day out. We’ve not had that similar respect for a while now.

BG here, my Alt is in FA … never thought I’d ever see the day they’d be in this position.
I got to experience this crazy week from both sides (not at the same time, of course). All I want to add to what the awesome posters above said, is that I was impressed with how both servers conducted themselves. On both map chat and TS, it was practically a clinic on sportsmanship.
It was tonnes of fun, thanks a lot.

I am from SOS and can completely understand where you are coming from. We have been under-matched and over-matched many times:).

But, we had a few good fights this week!

BG was a real class act how they handled this matchup. Looking at the score one might wonder why SoS and FA liked this matchup; but it was in the way they played and didn’t feel the need for waypointing enemy keeps in EB; no spawncamping, none of that crap so many servers feel the need to engage in.

I second this!

It was really nice to have groups of players who would come out of structures to fight.

We tried our best to avoid doing anything morale breaking to encourage you guys to come out and fight, and we are glad to have seen you folks all week.

Glicko Rng is what it is, should we get this matchup again we hope to see a great turnout from all sides again

We would’ve come out and fought no matter what. We still rally even faced with map blobs 24/7. Numbers aren’t as high in those times because people get sick of getting blobbed down, but we still show up. But you definitely made the game more fun than it’s been in a long time for us with your consideration. Many on SoS have considered this week revitalizing in that way. I know I have. The game has been fun again because you know you won’t get map blobbed down as a solo roamer or small havoc group. That wasn’t always the case.

Shout out to BG posse..especially RISE. Good scrims and brawls. We will bring a wee bit more A-game (mmmk maybe B game) for you next time. And not sure why but some of the best small ball/havoc stuff in a long time. You guys are most welcome back..even if you would rather not:)
