AEGIS indefinetly? Is this a bug or a Hack
On my guardian my Aegis often says 1M + duration. Thing is that Aegis doesn’t stack, so one hit removes the Aegis. I could have Aegis for 10+ years, and one hit from an AC, or a random wolf etc removes it. It’s just guardians virtue that gives a very long duration Aegis for some reason, no idea why it is that long duration.

Okay. That is why I asked. Thanks. I have never played a character with aegis. The boons I use and are familiar with stack and don’t dissappear on hit. Still learning wvw.

One Month is normal I think, once I stole a whole month of Aegis from a Guard, thanks to sigil of Absorption. Thieves don’t usually have the luxury of full duration boon steal, apart from S/D LS.
Plays completely opposite professions to his main Teef.

so the virtue is supposed to give you a “perma” aegis every 40 or whatever secs. the easiest way to code that without splitting the boon into an on/off variant and a duration variant is to give the one instance where it “should” be on/off an excessively long duration, because every other aegis has a duration (and most are pretty short). so yes, 1 month aegis on a guardian isnt hax and is working as intended.
head here to discuss wvw without fear of infractions
Yep, its completely normal.
You’d think it was overkill to have a buff last over a month but nope. Its just Anet.
I mean why not 1 day? 5 days? 10 days? 10 years? The options are so many, but they went incredibly specific. Not even 1 month.

Good to know to it steals full duration, for some reason I thought it gives only some short default boon dur when stolen.
