Word on the street is that Arb will indeed win this, as a large VZ guild has transferred to Arb to ensure that 2 French teams will stay in Tier1 – confirm/deny?

I’m sure VS and Arb people will deny this all week but it wouldn’t surprise me. As of right now looks like it’s going to be that way if Desolation can hold 2nd place this will be the same match up three weeks in a row.

ANET needs to change the ranking system to have the 3rd place team move down to the lower tier and the winning of the lower tier to move up. That’s the only way the collusion will end.

The fact that both Arbor and VZ sandwiched Desolation at the sentry at Bluelake, and then proceeded to meet without touching each other, some of them even doing /bow to the “opposing” side, certainly seems to reinforce this notion. I guess it’s Arbor’s turn to win, too?

Oh god why. Okay, i’m one of the leaders of the main alliance on Vizunah, Grand Cross. Here is the truth, read it slowly, and please destroy this rumor on Deso.

1) Vizunah made a LOT of sacrifices the last week, to wake up at 4 or 5am, to be at primetime too, our commanders played sometimes 15h/day. 80% of us are like zombies

2) we are all tired. This week will not be our.

3) mass Grand Cross members/officers are at the Paris Game Week, a French event ( http://www.parisgamesweek.com/ )

4) we transfered nobody to PA, they don’t need us, there are already strong.

Yeah you sacrificed the the well-being of AS. Your guilds cannibalized their WvW spots (I mean player spots) to ensure VS victory which costed AS potential points in the match and world-wide bonuses that would come with them.

You are really fun on Deso., having a server that has the prime time US schedule nightcapping( I have nothing againt this, it’s the game), a server with many players on x slice time zone. And you cry, ask your self the right question…

What is fair fight for you ? Make a alliance in a 3 faction game, or have US guild inc to EU ladder with their prime time is when we go to sleep ? … it’s the same in the 2 case, it’s 2 option you can make to assure your victory. And the 2 are right.

No, AB don"t win this time, we have good night and morning time the week end, but in week we have nothing, we try to make point this weekend to don’t loosing to much in the week. We have no arrangement with VS and any alliance in the futur is no way atm.

This morning we have on our homemap VS attack only AB and don"t touch to Deso, so .. i need to cry “omg VS is in alliance with deso ?”

everyone who plays in tier 1 knows the situation anyway, anyone else doesnt matter. we deso players should be more than thankful for those french manouvers, after all they knitted our server tighter together than anything else before.

That aside, I assume that even though it is inconceivable to you that any cooperation whatsoever exists between AB and VZ, it does ring hollow when you assure Desolation players that there is no alliance, yet there’s blatant occurrences where your forces refuse to fight each other, even going so far as to /bow to each other, and having spies wasting our supplies regularly.

On an entirely different note: I find it quite humorous how some people validates a 2v1 alliance to having full night-time coverage, regardless of means the latter is achieved with. No amount of coverage can compete with 166 fighting 332 people. It happened last weekend (the publicly admitted alliance) and it happened Thursday-Friday as well when Desolation was brought down sub-100 pts at times and Vizunah consolidated their lead. You can deny it all you want, and for you it might be true, but fact remains that some guilds/people blatantly continued to cooperate.

I am not saying that it was your personal fault; but you can’t absolve an entire server of responsibility. That would be completely inane, as I am sure you would agree.

If an alliance was going on, you certainly won’t be leading like now. You would have been crushed like last week end.

I’m one of the first with Troma to say there is a french alliance against deso last week… ( i can’t say look the old topic.. unfortunately anet delete this .. ). For some reason, this alliance was broke after 2 day. And since when, yes, they is no more alliance btw AS and VZ. So can say "you say that but i see VS don’t attack AS etc.. " yes, and i see some Deso don’t attack VS and rush AS.. so what, i need say their is a alliance btw VS and Deso for all that ?.

Maybe if AS with vs 2 german serv i will act like you and say their make alliance vs us… but it’s definitely not the case atm.

Event with a alliance btw the 2 french serv, we are outnumbered the night vs Deso … Our canadian ( armata ) back to usa serv, and well it’s the ruins prime time when we go to sleep for most of us.. very difficult in this condition to win without alliance.

If french servers will fight together one day, you’ll know it, because you will return in T2 directly.

It’s not like Desolation stops and /bow at the enemies like the French has done several times. Again, not personally accusing you Wothan, but it’s an unfortunate truth.

Again, people think our NA players is of mythical proportions; it is most certainly not. Last week it was even inferior to VZ’s numbers, which is partially due to holiday but also partially due to VZ simply having a nighttime presence – as they have always had, as all previous opponents can confirm. They’re the server who even coined the term “nightcapping”, which granted them several wins in a row.

You do not realize. You do not understand. Versus shiverpeaks, etc, we had no “night zerg” but like 30-40 night players (students, security agents etc) passionate about the game. A lot of them has stop, i had 10 guys like this on my guild, they stopped. Okay.

What you saw last week was the sacrifice i talked about : we HAD to play at night, we HAD to go at work like zombies, we had to do a lot of sacrifices and putting all energy to keep desolation away from first position. But we can’t continue do this, its too much.

If nobody help us for the night fights, it’s simple : we will drop T2.

This week I don’t see any working together by Arborstone and VS besides normal 1v1v1 strategy. There are times when Deso will pull back from a target after wiping attackers to an enemy holding because it benefits us for one side or the other to have a presence in the center of the other realm’s territory to force them to maintain multiple fronts. This is called strategy, not collusion.

It looks like Arbor and VS are duking it out pretty good

maybe on our borderlands the Week end yes… but event on the week end you have 100% of EB… and in the week… well we have nothing… against you. Can you tell me honestly, how many ppl of AS you fight on the week in 3/4am ?

There’s an easy alternative: all players seriously dedicated to WvW migrate to whichever 3-6 servers with 24/7 WvW coverage will emerge once the “concentration process” is completed.

Yeah it sucks to be forced to switch servers, but if Arenanet doesn’t change this joke of a system, it’s the only way to get some decent matchups in the long run.

I’ve enjoyed the day again, really enjoying these match-ups. I didn’t see much effect from an alliance last week, this week I’ll give you an example from Arbor Borderlands earlier. We were attacking the keep on our side, VS attacking the keep their side. Most of the Arbor defenders went to protect the keep against VS and let us stroll into the keep our side. So I would like it if Deso could stop complaining about a so called alliance as I can’t see any signs of it, although we seem to have found another complaint a top guild transferring? Don’t know about this, but who cares lets just go out there and fight. Stop complaining to the French guys and then they might also start to have more respect for us and stop whinging at us for this that and the other.

On a side note I seriously need to improve my 1v1 play, I would like to blame lag but…….

Anyways everyone enjoy the rest of the week.

These tier 1 fights are really intense, never had this much fun in WvW!
Its also amazing to watch our WvW community grow closer together and get alot more organised and stronger.
Feels awesome to be part of this.

VZ and AR play the game as it was intended. If they ally, it should be commended for good play.

Tiers are not 1 on 1. WvW is not prime time battle. Nightcapping is allowed. Mesmer portals are allowed and intended and not an exploit.

The entire reason why there are 3 teams in 1 battle is so that 2 gang up on 1. That’s the intended feature of GW2. Personally, I don’t like it, but if I’m going to have to listen endlessly how 2 teams ganged up on 1, I’ll go nuts.

If you don’t like 2v1, spam the forum, petition ANet, whatever, but blaming others for playing good to win just doesn’t make sense in a competitive environment.

All these Desolation vs French talks are about 1 server using huge NA guild(s) to get the advantage others (like these French) can’t/don’t have and then complain that others (French) use other means (allying) to defeat Desolation. Cmon..

relax, next week BT comes to T1 and then Deso and BT are going to gank

I’m on BT and certainly not going to gank the French, so far no issues with them. My personal experience with Deso however has been less than favorable, as they had a high % of bad mannered players.

That, and tactically it’s just bad move for BT to gank the French server.

I think that if BT goes into T1 it will be a normal 3-way battle. What will happen in a month or two, who knows.

I was on VS side at that time, it’s a good example, AB giving you Etheron by attacking Bay.
Just before AB was going for Etheron (and they failed :P) while our two commanders were respectively on Lowlands and Lake, just in front of the spawn.

W3 is basically 2v1 all the time. But it’s tactical, map-wise, non-concerted.
It’s just logic and strategy, you attack the server already defending because it’s easier.
Of course, on top of that, you tend to attack the bigger threat. For VS, seeing last week, it’s obviously Deso, at least right now. Plus, they have [ruin] and free badges.
But still, it’s how the W3 works. No need to cry about it or imagine a french plot to conquer everything.

Good fights against [Iron] btw. I wish more of deso were like you

VS is T1 since day 1, they didn’t need imaginary help from AS to get there, and neither did AS to climb un to T1 and took 1st place.
VS won last matchup against all odds, beting Deso which has much more geographic 24/7 coverage.
Both VS and AS really deserve T1, surely more than Deso who got there by recruiting overseas

I’m sure Desolation know they are underlevel to VS and AR and deny this all time, but it would’nt surprise me.

ANET needs to change the www system to have the good server stay in Tier 1 and dont see 24/24h zerg server like Desolation move up to Tier 1.

What EVERYONE?

Nop, we are tired it’s all.

We lost many energy in the match up VS/AS/ER.. pushed our limit again the week after in the 1er match up VS/AS/DS. But now we can’t follow the pace… so this week will be very hard for us. Many ppl or AS / VS make a pause, or play less hard.

I think deso win with 100k+ vs AS and VS.
