Ability to Repair Siege via Player

I would definitely like to be able to repair the siege on my walls that is getting nuked. But unfortunately this would be another gift to the more populus server. They have more people, therefore more control of supply, therefore they will be able to repair their siege more.
This would be a great mechanic to give the weaker server(s) in a match though. If Anet ever decides to really do anything about imbalance in matches this is a great one.
I’ve always thought that engineers should just be able to repair siege innately. Just makes sense. And that’s how engineer-ish classes in other games work.
I had a post about the same thing but a different approach in suggestions, got ignored as well.
The idea was about some kind of repair rifle as environmental weapon which lets you repair siege weapons and especially gates over a litle range, but only for half of the amount you would do by hand.
Maybe with a mastery for more amount repaired, bigger range or more skills.
In my case I was focussing on the topic of “how to defend until somebody comes, if we can’t even hold the gate due to aoe circles”, but the same goes to almost downed static siege equipment like oil
or, instead of needing WXP points and making it Op for large servers, remove the needed WXP points and just add this to the outnumbered buff so its useful for ppl that need it
