1. No. I’m not posting in the wrong forum.

3. Please implement something similar to WvWvW!

  • Calculate (or ask the players) how much time it takes 20 decently geared and skillful people to take over a structure.
  • Add a buff to the structure (like a claim buff) that appears 10 seconds before that period of time passes.
  • Give people extra [loot / wxp / karma / whatever] for taking structures that have the buff

2. I tried to get this achievement in PvE – it’s annoying, 25 are too much, yadda, yadda, yadda

This would give people an incentive to do stuff in smaller groups instead of huge zergs, it would make it easier to defend and hold structures and last but not least it would really make people collaborate with each other in smaller groups.

Of course, this is just a sketch of an idea, all the timings were pulled out of …thin air. But sitting on a rock – waiting to call out a champion in map chat because it didn’t have the buff yet made me think, this was something wvw needed.

It might work … as long as they get rid of the randomness that the Toxic Corruption thing has right now.

I have to disagree. Answer to zergs isnt in adding gimmicks. Problem is, its easiest way of doing anything in this game, simply join crowd and follow stampede. Its all about holding towers and keeps in wvw, but what about everything in-between? There is no incentive to i.e. place sieges on higher ground and hold chokepoint, in one word there is no need to battle for every inch of land like its case in any real warfare.
We simply dont have enough tools at our disposal to coordinate 120 ppl so they can operate in say 1 large group and 5 small task forces. So we just clump together.
