Hey,

I think it would be a good idea to remove trebs being able to hit through doors from behind gates especially with the upcoming guild claiming updates.
It’s too easy to defend against a group if attacking by gates, this being said I find it frustrating assaulting a gate with a treb behind it but it is also kind of lame defending using one.

Attack a T3 tower and theres a treb behind it, there’s 2 options take the walls down or attempt to hit the treb inside which can be hell when its on the ground
It’s fine if its sitting on a depo or inside to shoot out of the tower but firing against a gate makes it nigh impossible to attack front doors when with there’s not many players online in the server.

Or just don’t allow trebs to fire through gates or to damage their own. It’s different firing from somewhere else covering tower gates and stuff but trebs behind gates is boring and demoralizing

That being said we’ll stick to breaking walls in these situation

If anyone has strategies on avoiding treb aoe effects behind gates please let me know

Its not like the trebs helps much anyways when blobs just build ACs outside the walls to take down all the siege for the few people manning them on the inside anyways.

IMO it’s fair that trebs kill rams through gates because usually there’s one, or a handful, of people who are willing to run supplies and keep the treb refreshed. It’s usually a lot of effort and dedication by one or very few people who are often stretched thin trying to defend. If they are willing to do that work, keep a close eye on the map, and do a lot of running to check out white swords, they should have some hope of being able to save what they’ve invested time, silver, and effort into.

There are ways in low-pop situations to overcome gate trebs, but it involves some planning and co-ordination on the part of the attackers. For example, if the defenders have one person willing to build and refresh that siege, then the attackers should have one person willing create distractions on the map to get the defenders running in the wrong direction/locked out of waypoints.

in high tiers its a must but i can see how low level tiers it would be a problem
