No, two trolls are the source of this drama, not TA. Generalizing is why we have false stereotypes and rascism. Some TA members commended NS and AGG for their fights, but that was lost in all the people calling TA crap. It’s a shame we can’t generalize all of TA for the good comments that were made by a few, no instead people only focus on the trolls.

Exactly, Both sides need to show a little more mutual respect. However NA has an entire server reserved for trolls, it’s going to happen regardless. TA on the other hand needs to get their house in order because their name is getting kicked in the dirt because the free reign and lack of response by their leadership. Many people respect TA and many of the old EU guilds. The truth however, EU has always prized itself the best in gvg, spvp, and individual skills very loudly across several forums. That being the case all these white knights trying to defend are only making matters worse. I bet that if TA leadership had made an official statement even congratulating or acknowledging their opponents skill this would be dying off. Instead all that is seen is the excuses given by their unofficial reps backed up by the white knights.

Giving an excuse for a loss instead of congratulating a victory is a very big insult. Time for TA to step up and put this to rest or it never will.

I played EU since game launch while living in Canada. I played it both as a follower and as a commander of VoTF. To fall back now on this ping excuse is a cop out, and frankly an insult to those of us who maintained a very high level of play experiencing what you consider an unplayable state of the game, this applies to the Australians who play on NA and put up a good performance.

You got 1 pushed and blame ping? Last I checked I have never been 1 pushed with that same ping, not even against RG, not even close. TA got outplayed and Agg and NS were better guilds, theres not much more to it.

So grats to NA, took a while but you finally got there, the fanboys might not admit to the high level of play we saw this week, but the smarter players know better.

I live in England and played in NA for a good few months recently and Ping want an issue for me. Generally if i was lagging so was everyone else. I honestly didn’t notice a difference from EU.

Why do people tout RG as dominating NA??

They fought T1 pugmanders not any talent. In all honesty all the talent in NA was in T3-5

They also retired before the NA scene became established. Heck you could make an argument that today’s NA scene is dead and only consists of ppl holding on too long.

As of now Agg and EP are gone. RET, PYRO, Ark, and GF been either dead or not active for a long time.

TA managed to scrap the last remaining competetive 15v15 / 20v20 players in Europe under one tag, went to NA and lost some rounds. compare the european GvG scene today with the guilds that played a year ago. who is still there? the drop in quality is massive, the competition is almost non existent. maybe builds and tactics are a little more refined today, but what does it matter when no one is left to play the game?

these fights were not really impressing, i hoped for some fancy new mechanics, but it looked like more of the same.

Hypocrite much. I recall from the SOS forum chat, VOTF made the exact same excuses about lag when losing 16-0 to RG. Which made it laughable since you both played on US servers. Then it was “we never really came to gvg RG”, when on the chat prior you had said this was the only reason you went SOS.

Shame you talk wise words but yourself and VOTF never practiced what your preaching. Sounds like you should drink some of your own coolaid.

Erm I never blamed lag back then? Nor did I ever discuss anything about it on SoS forums? Unless you can link a screenshot of me blaming lag?

That gvg was done with 3 of our core members at a whim of Sacrx to have a fair match. If players continue to wish to remember that I dont mind at all, but everybody who has fought against VoTF is well aware that none of our core were present. Even our leader Aneu only showed up for the last 3 matches and only played in 2. You think we would do a serious gvg without our main commander? It doesnt matter, the 8-5 afterwards showed that the 16-0 was nothing relevant.

I was still never 1 pushed in any of those GvGs, even with culling and them using a blind spot veil so that nothing would render ever. I also played full glass cannon and still survived it. Ping is no excuse, I play exactly what I preach.

And if you really think we came to only gvg RG (which we also never said anywhere) then why did we stay 2 months after that? We actually came to fight against guilds we had previous rivalries with since IoJ times to see where we stacked up to compared to previous. We didnt pull a TA and come for a week, we stayed 2 months. I think you are fabricating a lot of ideas in your head of what you think my guild did when its nowhere close. In fact, considering I played tpvp competitively in EU at the time, it would only make sense if I only came to fight RG I would go back when they did so I could also play tpvp and get rewards, why would I sacrifice that if not because I had other reasons to go to NA?

All this arguing doesn’t change the simple fact

Right now a dead NA > EU

No one can dispute that

Also yes, there are numerous posts in the gvg scene stating euro superiority and how NA has always been 3-6 months behind, which up to this point hasn’t been disproven. Now the flood gates are open after 2 years+ of overwhelming smug. I seriously think all of maguuma had a simultaneous “accident” spiking keyboard sales after the victory.

As a Maguuma official I can neither confirm nor deny the above statement.

Why would TA care that much about the things Intigo said? It’s a kittening game, you really think he would get kicked? The game is just filled with recycled guilds for ppl that are still having fun on it (I’m still wondering how).

On the RG/VoTF first GvG, I don’t think there is any point comparing who was playing, who was from the core group etc. VoTF was still playing with their squishy berserker setup and it’s the only reason they didn’t pull a single round, I don’t think any guild would have won with that.

The second GvG was more interesting for both sides I guess and it’s the only thing that matter in this game.

Stop blaming others for flaming and no one will ever know who was really the best because no guild from the beginning is still playing. It went to a point that everyone is doing the same thing. While I agree that you shouldn’t get 1 pushed even with lag, when everyone has the same meta, almost same builds and gear, small things matter such as ping. Humility from all side would be better than this kitten, but dramas and forum wars are still more interesting than the game itself.

Blame Anet that prefers its awesome Living Story..
