1.2K twitch views and Anet still refuses to acknowledge GvG. The obsidium sanctum was pretty much queued for all 3 servers and the twitch views matched that of DnT’s PVE tourny.
There is huge support out there for GvG, yet Anet ignores the community.
Anet doesn’t care. I was one of the first along with my homie star player to violate the game mode via gvg (or at least first to get officially called out for it by an anet employee). I’ll give them props for implementing OS but they’ve mostly just ignored wvw. I’m pretty sad to see the fallout of what’s about to happen. It’s been a lot of fun guys. See you around.
Good fights tonight, AGG is an amazing guild to fight against and it’s been great going up against them for a long time. Hopefully EU doesn’t completely shrug off NA anymore, but probably too little too late.
Matches like this should be played home and away like football, there is a definate home advantage due to ping, I also think the crowds should be removed as we saw in this stream people got Moa’ed by memebers of the crowd. Imho GvG needs a 20 v 20 custom OS arena that has spectator mode, so the teams can fight without players interfering or causing more lag.
Everyone aggrees with you Vav. Except ANet. GvG in its prime would drawn 5k minimally for a match like this that was hyped so much. It’s sad to see it down to barely 1k and struggling.

We probably won’t ever see an Agg v TA in EU because Agg has always refused to go there for GvGs. While Ping is obviously an issue. Until you have a properly company support LAN system NA v EU will always have lag issues against each other.

p.s. sorry to say but this arena is not the proper arena. any team can cheat by putting guardians and in any party in a 1200 range and press f2 ,f3 when a player need more aegis , heals etc ….

GvG’s are held in OS now, the only time it is held at windmill nowadays is if there is another GvG currently in OS, which basically never happens in t1.

This unsupported game mode pulled comparable viewers to Anets official esportz tournament that they had to bribe people to watch with precursors.

Guess that makes gvg esportz amirite? SRS business this stuff. Agg deserves gratz, also that is a good ol’ reality check for TA.
As Bansie mentions viewership dropped, maybe there are ppl like me who prefer playing than watching, but sure its a good amount of watching yet it doesn’t equate to actual population that would be interested in taking part in GvGs and all the effort that is needed for little reward.
You have to say wvw has been neglected overall, not just the side chasing after some e-fame in wvw of all places rather than looking for some good organized fights.
If they make a PVP instance for GvG would people be happy?

TA only has 50% of ST and it’s mainly just their ranged/periphery players, not the melee. Notice how TA’s weakest link was their melee… coz they weren’t RG/ST members.
They are trying to find a way to bring up GvG from GW1 .
If they succed , there cant be the WvWvW GvG and PvP GvG .

The key word here is a “few”. Sure NS had some aussies and maybe AGG had some EU, but their entire team wasn’t made up of them. Part of your team having bad ping is nowhere near the same as your entire team.

Nobody is saying NA is bad, but everybody who is saying TA is kitten because they lost two GvG’s don’t know what they’re talking about. Two people from TA were talking kitten, TA has nearly 40 members, that’s a great way to generalize an entire guild. Anybody who thinks any of the guilds that fought are bad, are deluded.

When EP came over to EU they were the current kings of NA, they lost to ST who were the kings of EU at the time. I didn’t see as much chest thumping from EU when that happened. Nobody called EP kitten, and none of this rubbish was there. But because of few trolls running their mouth all these NA guys start chest thumping like they took part in the gvg and killed TA. If the rounds were held in EU the scores would have been different. The victor may have stayed the same, but the scores would have been different. Due to the ping issues it will always be hard to crown a champion because one team is always at a disadvantage.

No, two trolls are the source of this drama, not TA. Generalizing is why we have false stereotypes and rascism. Some TA members commended NS and AGG for their fights, but that was lost in all the people calling TA crap. It’s a shame we can’t generalize all of TA for the good comments that were made by a few, no instead people only focus on the trolls.
