Recently I have seen increasement in players that will disappear before they die. No exp, no loot remain from them. Various classes form elementalists to guardians, so its not stealth, even downed enemies.
Earlier there was punishement for pressing Alt+f4 to quit game and prevent stomping, is this punishement currently disabled from devs? Or is it some kind on hack?

I had a war alt-f4 on me while he was trying to escape earlier. He still left behind a bag of loot. As far as I know it’s acting the same way it did before.

I think you dont get a lootbag/exp, when the downed players queue pops for another map.
So people could exploit it by queueing and requeueing for a map that has a low queue, so the message pops up frequently.

I play in low silver, queues are mostly non existent here. At least nothing you can rely on.

There was a thread couple of days ago about the same thing. Someone mentioned there is a trick to do this without actually hacking. And yeah it’s more and more common lately even in T9 and we hardly ever have queues, so I don’t think it’s that.

I think they should either be blocked from entering WvW for 10 mins or be transformed into a chicken for 15 mins, (timers start when you try and enter WvW.

Chicken Life (15 mins) You have been deemed a chicken and must live the life of one.

During this time, you have no control over your character as you live the life of a chicken. If you die you turn into a roast chicken, providing the enemy with a feast before respawning. If you chicken out of this chicken mode, 10 mins is added to the time. If you Alt+F4 while in combat within 6 hours of your last punishment, all time is added up (15+10+15 mins).

This happens when I am right in someone’s face hitting them or they are downed. No way they are out of combat.

They may have been queued for a PvP match and it might have popped up for them during the fight. Not sure if that pops a bag for you though.

I might add that I have been D/Ced a few times during a fight regardless if I’m winning or losing. It just happens.

It may not be relevant, but the other day I was chasing a player who’d hit me and run, and as I burned him down I tried to join his party. When he dropped, I started the stomp but he vanished and then joined party, and I could see he’d switched to PvP. No stomp, no credit, no bag. Shrug.

What happened several times: enemy guardian downed and I am stomping. He dissapears, but I did not get any loot or xp. I smashed around for few times in case of thief, but i got out of combat really fast. And I was not alone there, another player from my server was there too hitting that guard.
So either that guard hacked or alt+f4. Thats why I asked.

Well without repair bills the punishment is a null point. Just release, repair and requeue (and get in immediately for most servers)

There is a way that is being used/abused currently that allows a player to avoid being stomped and avoid leaving a bag. I downed an ele a few days back and they used vapor form to try to get away. After I caught up to him and was prepared to stomp he disappeared leaving no baggie, no xp tick, nothing. He just vanished. I at first chalked it up to me missing something but when I met up and downed the same ele again later the exact same thing happened. He just disappeared leaving nothing behind. So either the alt f4 penalty is no longer working or something new is being used/absused.

It’s the people who self insta-revive that have been getting me lately. I’ve seen that a lot more often than usual:

I down someone, nothing/nobody else is around (i.e. nothing to rally off of). I move in for the stomp, the guy is suddenly alive again. Has happened fighting a bunch of different classes.

I’m not sure what they’re using to do it, but it surprises me every time and it is pretty kitten annoying.

Occam’s Razor, I think. If there’s a penalty for something, people will find a way around it. With the shear amount of hacks and number of hackers we have running freely around the game, it would not surprise me whatsoever that we keep getting more, new hacks/ways to get around the system because the people doing it know nobody’s answering the phone at Anet anymore. It’s open season with the way things are now.

Its someting like- we cannot tell here that we see some pll heats and inform other players what it can be or what it was- becose this is wrong.
We always can use google
And You great dev shal focus on detection and ban all players using hacks becose it looks like in last few weeks this problem is slowly increasing in Your game

That was something that was a problem a while back, but then they fixed it, but I noticed quite a while ago you could do it again. It’s great for PvE. If downed, just go form, log off, log on and voila, alive and full health. Don’t play ele much and had forgotten about that.
