At present, Servers with lots of people around the clock win the points, it does not matter, if there is any enemies on the map fighting back or not.
I think it would be much more appropriate, if the point system would scale with the amount of players/enemies on the map.
Something like: Points divided by own players times enemies equals acutal points.
With a system like that, servers that really fight well but have less manpower also have a chance, while as servers with lots of coverage through hours without any enemies don’t screw up the scores.
We would get a much better view on which servers are actually good at playing instead of just having the most people online while nobody else is fighting.
The Tiers would change dramatically compared to now, that is for sure!
any thoughts on this?
I can see one problem with this system straight away- the so called ‘leet’ guilds would be forever telling ‘noobs’ to ‘get off wvw you’re ruining our ability to score points’.
I’d much prefer to see the ‘outmanned’ buff actually be a proper buff, scaling dependent on the number of opposition players on the map, so that it gave you a real boost and helped to even out the numbers.
