An open letter to whoever is DDoSing our TS3
It really does nothing to accomplish what the attacker is trying to do since most guilds have back-up servers and just let everyone know to get on an alternate. Nice waste of effort by the attackers. Clearly some people though feel that they can’t win any other way. Speaks volumes of the attacker and the lack of confidence they have in their own skills.

I agree in principle but I am seriously concerned for other customers in our VPS farm. My personal web servers have been casualties of DDoS attacks leveled at other customers before and I know how it feels. If this was a server in someone’s basement… whatever but it’s not; the attacks are using 10x our allotted bandwidth which means it’s coming from other customers behind the same stack. It’s not worth it for a game.
Contact your web host. If they are competent they can resolve the issue.

Haha if they truly are ddosing you, they arent going to stop because you kindly ask them to stop…
When Pikens TS had major hiccups the solution was to change address. Little way around it. But it probably wasnt being ddosed, it might have been the server that was having issues. I am sure it was complete coincidence that TS worked fine up until that moment the main raid started stacking up to engage the main SFR raid, multiple times during the evenings. It hasnt happened since the season ended so its all good!
Hello,
I am sorry to hear that. SOR’s TS and backup have been DDOSed on/off for the longest time. Oh well, we just to deal with it.

I won’t name matchups or servers but you know who you are. Our TS3 server is currently experiencing 14000% more traffic than the monthly average. Any server wide TeamSpeak server in this game is going to be on a VPS or a similar setup. Your attack is affecting other customers in our shared data centre.
I implore you to stop, you’re not just hurting us you’re hurting people who have nothing to do with GuildWars 2.
If you think that DDoSing a TS3 server over a WvW matchup is the way to accomplish your goals please know it is affecting more than just your competition.
Please… This isn’t about our TS3, this is bigger than that.

Yeah, I just want to DDoS them even harder now. I mean… What, nothing, look over there!

i played on few servers (on YB atm) and been on their TS and i think SoR TS is only one that is getting DDOSd non stop when they are facing certain server <_< and it really doesn’t take much effort to guess who does it
i really hated when people were DDOSing each other in wow during RBG matches to force wins like that, it is really sad that certain individuals resort to such actions in this game as well :/
from what i understand SoR isn’t winning every match up either, are those actions really needed?
