So last night during a GvG between a SBI and an IOJ guild a dev with his Anet tag decided to interfere in the GvG saying it was interfering with his WvW. Has anyone else seen this type of thing from reds? Or was this guy just an idiot? I’m sorry but we are enjoying the game and playing or spectating as we want. This dev was not just representing himself but the entire developer group. We are trying to still enjoy the game instead of leaving, even though you have made it harder to enjoy.

Well, he did have a point (if the story is true). You DID disturb his WvW, and the devs have made it quite clear that WvW will always be more important than GvG in WvW.

Both guilds should have jumped on him and downed him. Then stood there and pointed and laughed.

Actually some XOXO (ppl on third server spectating) downed/spiked him while his server mates stood there watching, wonder how he felt about that.

I was driving one of the teams and can verify it did happen. The dev was on SBI and I couldn’t read what he was saying. The guild we were going against said they got screens and a video of the conversation, so they’ll surface soon I hope.

Next time you want to GvG, don’t be surprised if the windmill spot isn’t overrun with a plague of forest spiders.

I hope someone uploads that soon, I can’t wait to see how silly he makes Anet look. Maybe someone hacked his account, or watch that is the excuse they will give.

It’s not something new, I’m not going to call him a dev but BG had a anet tag running around a while back. He would run around on ebg with a commander tag and pull pugs from the main commander, run around the map doing nothing. Hes was quite rude when people tried to address it and it caused a lot of anet flaming on our server for a bit. For us it was blatant greifing so after a mass report he moved to SoR…not sure what happened after that.

So if 50 people were to farm centaurs in NE part of the map, would he appear there too and tell them that they are interfering with his WvW? Or would it be O.K. since it’s content related activity AKA players having ‘fun’ under Anet rules? Or is this guy an idiot who craps where he eats? Only time and SS/vid from parties involved will tell.

Devon Carver i’m pretty sure is on SBI…..

Honestly most of the dev’s that I’ve seen weren’t the best players, although I have never seen an anet tag command…but judging from how they know their own game..i’m guessing probably not too good…

Maybe once leagues start and SBI get’s their dream matchup against SoR or a T1 server… we’ll get some changes

I once saw an ArenaNet dev (everyone with the tag is a developer of the game of course) kick a puppy. He then went on to talk about how Justin Bieber has more musical talent than Eric Clapton and Mark Knopfler combined. He finished by saying Trahearne didn’t get enough prominence in the Personal story and that Dark Age of Camelot is the worst MMO ever.

Even if this turns out to be true, this thread is nothing more than another ridiculous part of the hysterical war on WvW design by the “GvG” community.

I once saw Shiren standing on tower walls near his spawn camp, repeatedly unloading his arrow cart on soloers passing by for 12 hours. He didn’t get a single kill that whole time, BUT for him it was THE most fun he ever had in WvW. And thus he went to bed, with a smile on his lips and a most cunning plan in mind – to try out the same thing with ballista tomorrow.

In my job and i think in many people job if you troll a customer or customers (even if you think they are wrong) you lose your job easily. I’m happy to see how the devs of this game treat us. Can’t wait for a worthy alternative.
