Guild Wars 2

Hello! I am happy to announce a player made European GvG League and Tournament, which will be starting on Sunday the 16th. Currently we have 15 guilds signed up, who will compete against each other over the course of a 7 week period, after which we will hold a top 6 tournament. We plan on streaming as many fights as we can, as well as having full coverage of the top 6, and possibly even shout casting for some of the fights. I will include a list of the current streamers we have, as well as contact information for myself, and the other organizer of this League. If anyone is interested in helping to stream the tournament feel free to contact me in game or PM. Any suggestions/questions are also welcome in the comments or you can ask me directly as well. EU GvG is the best RP!

Not only EU but theres a Chinese 15v15 GvG tournament, player run but with prizes from the GW2 Chinese distributor and advertising on their webpage.

But from anet we get nothing.

@morrolan obviously cause it’s a 4 year old game, they’ve barely supported an unofficial game mode in those years, which seen its best days and meta 2-3 years ago, last year failed to bring players back. They’ve just enough revenue to push spvp esports (and pve kek).

Although I think, most people would get bored anyway, unless it got backed. We could of maybe crowdfunded a league + prizes or such to show how popular it was, if people wanted to try, but would be pointless at this point.

Until, other decent rvr game releases, with gvg support from the devs.

Tl;dr don’t expect much gvg support from anet, especially cash or gold prizes. Perhaps they’ll nerf the boom spam meta, but won’t let us expand the arenas yet.
