that sounds fun , thanks !
Besides elementalist, not much else. Maybe on a roaming DH build. Could be ok for a scrapper as well, but scrapper does better with power now compared to condi simply due to scrapper traits.

Cele reaper was a thing for a while in pvp, if you’re comfy with the class you could definitely make it work for roaming. Off the top of my head link. Otherwise power necro is probably pretty standard atm in zergs.
Necro, and ele have some very good cele builds and mesmers also do pretty ok. Not my field of knowledge but maybe druid as well.
Pretty much every class work in celestial. Especially if its only a trinket set we are talking about. Hell I bet even decent thieves can make it work.
The trick to making celestial really strong is might stacking. If you have a decent way to stack might (ele, necro spite line, warriors etc) then you are making the condition and power damage really strong, without it you’re kinda just an all rounder in stats but few weapons have good power and condition damage scaling together.
Since might has been nerfed on the ele fire line, along with the sigil of battle, it’s really not as rewarding as it used to be to play celestial.
It just another fun thing Anet turned into not-that-fun-anymore.
Better full zerk staff or mixed sets for d/d.
in wvw you can run celestial trinkets on anything power.

wtf is a midline? I thought zerglets were all just front or back line.

I run mid line (between melee and back line) on my Condi Ranger SB/Axe/Warhorn. Sometimes I push into the Frey and pop me Elite skill.

It’s that line between the front and back where all the useless classes say they play in order to make them feel cooler than the backline but not as much rallybotting as the frontline.
I can’t speak for everyone but I use it on my Druid. Works rather well and lets me fine tune builds based on runes, sigils, weapons, and accessories. That is how I thought it was supposed to work in this game anyway…go figure.
I do not it isn’t optimal but I use it so I don’t have to carry around 50 different sets of armor. Yeah yeah, a bit of an exaggeration but you get the idea never the less
Johnny Johnny – Ranger (Ehmry Bay)
Hárvey Wallbanger – Alt Warrior (Ehmry Bay)
if you run with zerg then squirrel a lot, find you are alone roaming, see a zerg and join in, then repeat…they are pretty useful trinkets
I’m a 3/8th or 7/16th line guy myself. Very unique.

Without midline the frontline would get swarmed and kill while the backline would rallybot trying to follow frontline. They are the glue that prevents the zerg from unzippering.

About half the people I’ve talked to about it swear by it. The other half says the same as you. Half the people run staff. The other half run dagger/focus or dagger/warhorn.

I ran full Celestial on an Elixir Scrapper and Longbow + Sword/Dagger Ranger for a while some time ago and they both worked quite well.
Elixir Scrapper was the one I was using the most. Traveler runes + constant boon uptime, easy might stacking, tons of condition clear and good sustained healing were quite fun. It certainly didn’t hit very hard but it was extremely durable and capable of fulfilling pretty much any role I wanted. Whether that was roaming, havoc, zerging front or backline. I was using Alchemy/Inventions/Scrapper with the trait that gave me extra healing power while I had Regeneration so it was pretty solid for heal support as well when I was using Healing Turret (although I preferred to use Elixir H when solo).
Longbow + Sword/Dagger Ranger was pretty nice but not as effective. With Skirmishing + Torment sigil on my Longbow, I applied Bleed fairly often doing respectable damage, cover conditions like Vulnerability, Cripple and Torment along with Poison from Sword and Dagger and had a very strong sustained heal with Troll Unguent. Because I was unable to stack very many boons and because neither of my weapons hit very hard, it didn’t feel as effective as the Cele Scrapper. Still, it wasn’t terrible, had about the same condition management and similar sustained healing.
I hear that Tempest is quite good with Celestial and standard Ele pretty well always has been. Just be sure to add Boon Duration in to the equation if you’re going to be using Celestial. Being able to stack a bunch of boons is extremely beneficial as you’ll have the Healing Power to make Regeneration significant, split stats between Condition Damage and Power to benefit Might stacks, moderate Toughness to compliment Protection and moderate Precision to compliment Fury. Cele builds never hit terribly hard but they are powerful with sustain if used in the proper build. They apply enough damage to be a threat while having more than enough defensive abilities to generally outlast opponents.

There is a distinct split between people saying power is life and those saying support classes are usefull. The former basicly acknowledge no other stats than damage.
Personally I run a full cleric tempest and its a complete beast when it comes to keeping a zerg supplied with HP.

Hmmm well I think support makes certain fights longer but then again that depends on how skilled the groups are at dodging and knowing enemy/boss paterns, if you spend time down in a fight that takes longer to. But im still learning, so maybe it isnt slower.
Celestial Blind reaper with Flock runes and Sigil of Mischief, take every trait that buffs Blind and Chill, toast people by instantly applying 4 conditions every time you switch weapons or 4 conditions when they hit you on a 10 second cd
came back and Bought HoT a few weeks ago , tackling fractals and solo Content with my necro .. now im looking towards WvW again but my necro build is all out melee for Solo Content, and i got a full trinket set of celestial flying around unused.
So any fun/useful class in WvW that could make use of Celestial stats ?
Elementalist for roaming is near godly in celestial. http://asphyxia.tv/wvw-roaming-elementalist/
Had some fun on Celestial Engineer/Scrapper running Elixir Gun, Flame Thrower, Rocket Boots and the Mortar thingy as the elite.
Solid power DPS, decent burning ticks, good sustain and some great healing potential.
May not be meta, but it was a heap of fun.

Any bunker running Cele with Durability is a bear to bring down. Guardian, DH, Warrior, Tempest, Scrapper, etc… They all work mainly because of the OP-ness of Durability.

Any profession that have boons will make good use of durability runes. Honestly, right now, there is almost no reason to not pick these runes in pretty much any build.

or its condi brethren… Perplexity.

I’d argue on this one… I find better use of general condi duration for necro much better than simply adding confusion. Burn guardian cannot make effective use of perplexity as they have little to no interupt methods. Condi rangers gain much more benefit from the stealth from trapper runes than adding confusion to their set.
Honestly, I think the only professions who can actually pull the full potential of perplexity are thief and mesmer (maybe berserkers now, but I’ve only seen burn based ones). And with it, I’d say Nightmare runes are more close to being the Durability rune for condi builds.

Any time I make a condition build, Undead runes are my go to. Extra Toughness never hurts, WvW condition builds usually have a lot of that and +7% of it is converted to Condition Damage. Works on any build IMO and I’d say they’re the best Condition Damage runes.
That’s the thing though, we’re having different opinions on which is the best condition rune but no one denies the effectiveness of Durability runes. Which means there isn’t really a condition rune that’s as valuable as Durability.
