Dont matter if is overpower or not, is ridiculous. In WvW you can see a lot of times 5 or 6 players hitting at air or spamming aoe for x min (x is the time players get bored and move away or thief decide to leave) with a thief who only appears for 1 second, hit a backstab and go stealth again, and if you are melee, you even cant to get them because their ridiculous mobility. Yes, a lot of ridiculous words, because is that… a ridiculous situation.

You only can move on, the thief is who decide when the combat is over, you never gonna kill a good thief, only make him run away. If for you (arenanet) fair this?

I am not crying because i get killed by thief, i play very tanky, i just ignore them most of times, but that is the point, you must ignore them… the problem is you cant fight them, you can just ignore, make them run or if you have low armor build just die.

A mesmer have invisibility too but is far easy to get than thief. You can chase them, you can kill them, is hard, but no like a thief. As i said, the thief can fight alone in a 5 o 6 group of enemies because steatlh spamming D/P almost without risk.

I know the thief is balanced to work with the actual stealth mechanic, but at least put a debuff of 5 second or more until you can back to stealth again, this way you must decide wisely when stealth and when not, and not just spamming it. A better solution is that there is a % possibility to see stealth players (more % is you are close or facing them)

So, it’s not stealth that’s the problem, but rather thief mechanics and their copious access to stealth?

Number of times “Thief” appears in OP: 8
Number of times “Mesmer” appears in OP: 1 (and in reference to a semblence of balance no less)
Number of times “Ranger” appears in OP: 0

Is this a stealth problem, or a thief one? o.O

Just introduce a way to reveal stealthed targets.

Since everyone’s also complaining burn is overpowered, reduce the damage of burn and make it put revealed on targets while burning.

2 birds, 1 stone.

Sure, is like you say. The thief can spam it. Ranger and mesmer not. That is the problem. That is we need a anti spamming debuff. You must be better at that and do it wisely.
