Anyone sick of not seeing loot in the floor?
Did you set the loot all key?
I have minds set to L-Alt and hit it every once in a while.
I do hate having to hold ctrl to see other stuff like siege names, enemy names, harvest nodes etc.

You can make a keybind for aoe loot. When you die during fights respawn and the loot bags still come to you.

Yes, of course I use loot all feature, it is a very good feature, but randomly hitting that key on “invisible” loot is also annoying.
My AoE loot key is bound to my TS push-to-talk key.

I already use the aoe loot key, from the very first second it was added.
Basically, spamming the key to get the “invisible” loot of the floor, not even being sure if I have or not loot on the floor, in the middle of a hundred of people, in a dark map.

I’m not understanding how that’s a real issue.

I’m sick of having to loot at all, the game really should just make it a feature to truly auto loot bags. It’s a tedium that’s not needed, I’d rather just enjoy the game and the battles.

I don’t get it either. Mines the shift key, my pinky finger clicks it when I see exp on my screen. When you see exp on screen during fights usually you get some sort of loot from it.

Haha yea! Exp means something died!

So you both don’t have ANY problem at all with the loot bags being almost invisible on the floor? you are happy randomly spamming loot key? and needing to recheck the area after all fights?
Don’t want a loot icon on minimap? or more visible bags?
You don’t need to spam it, press it when you see the exp fly up on your screen, or every 5-10s in a fight. Unless you were part of a really fast moving drawn out fight area I don’t have a problem with it. I very rarely have to go back to look for bags.
Not that I disagree for better visuals, not just loot bags but for other stuff too.

I have 3 years doing that exactly, I still lose a lot of bags, I play in tier 1 where action is guarantied, and hitting an additional key, apart of the 20 keys I need to hit to fight, when 50 people are trying to kill me is not always an option.
Playing sPvP is a different story, you don’t need to loot anything, the fight is always fluid, and you still get loot with the PvP reward track and automatically at the match end. That way is a lot better than WvW.
More visuals = more lag
More visuals = more lag
You mean graphics lag? in that case the lag will be in your PC only, not affecting others. Could be optional (enable/disable option)
Example: Changing the bag texture from brown to white, and always showing the nameplate of bags is not going to add any “lag”.

I’m in this camp.
And while at it, stop dropping all the blue/green, and just give us money/mats and stuff instead. I’m sick of emptying 3-4 bags full of useless blue/greens. When you could just drop 1 silver instead on average. Which doesn’t fill my bags…

Since in WvW the bags drop at your feet anyway and you only have to hit loot to get it, I don’t know why they don’t just make it totally button free auto loot.
I know macros are naughty, but one to hit the loot button every second is pretty handy…

There are far more important things I would like Anet to fix than having them wasting time on this.

Like Golem Rush 2.0
Not only is building a golem free, but so are blueprints!!!!!!!
I used to be a PvE player like you, then I played Guild Wars 2
Your topic is a bit too long, it was enough just saying “Anyone-sick-of-not-seeing-loot”.
Which I would agree with
More visuals = more lag
Another colour then brown on a loot bag shouldn’t give any more lag then we have now.
I agree with OP and other people in this thread that looting could be done more fluid then it is now.
I just have autoloot set to a thumb key near my AA key. Can mash both at one time, and saves tons of time.

I dunno man, I’m personally sick of having to kill people. I’d rather they all just die as I run near them, then all the blues and greens they drop are automatically salvaged and go into my storage,
On a more serious note, seeing loot bags next to my dead body as my group slowly but surely wipes is one of the things that motivates me to get better.
As for looting during combat, as others have said, I have a key for that that I press everytime I see exp show up on my screen. That takes care of everything. And realistically, you’re not keeping track of 20 buttons during zerg combat where loot bags are more likely to get lost. You’re probably keeping track of a couple of useful weapon skills and your utilities and dodge bar, all the while spamming your AA skill.
I press f like every 3-5sec so its ok, only time its anoying is if your Close to a npc
