The 5target cap for AoE dmg is a big disadvantage for smaller zergs.

25zerg vs 50zerg,the small zerg can only hit 10% of the bigger zerg with AoE,the bigger zerg can hit 20% with AoE. So they do not only have more dmg/life etc from the ppl they have also the have a much bigger chance to kill enemys fast with AoE.

Removing the cap or make it dynamic would fix this(like area caps so the 25ppl can hit 10,the 50ppl can hit 5,so both can hit 20%)

It wouldnt make any sense, you’re asking to get a buff for having less players? In all honesty that 50 man zerg should be able to kill you unless you outskill/play them, or you have siege set up. Theres no reason why we should increase cap limit for that. And even for portal bomb turtling, i still wouldn’t want aoe cap limit increased. I dont run with zergs of 50, but thats just my 2 cents.

We were actually NERFEd to start with. Just make the change better

The 5 target cap is kinda ridiculous. Before 5 people could very well defend a tower (we still can with proper siege) from 20-40 people. Now it’s more like “Oh lol let us just faceroll you because you’re outmanned”

The aoe cap is actually something that hinders this possibility. Gives the larger forces a mechanical safety net to stand around like kitten playing like crap when the attacks of the smaller force are randomly distributed amongst them instead of forcing a response from standing in red circles like idiots.

ok to make it more simple:

25ppl VS 25ppl+25AFK ppl ->should be a 50% chance for both sides since 25ppl will do nothing but stand there,but due the AoE cap the AFK ppl will bring the win.(the 25afk ppl are in perma stealth)

With 15 people you can easily kill 30 plus with some coordination. removing the 5 cap would be the dumbest thing Anet could do atm.

Generally we would discuss situations where people are actually actively at the keyboard though.

Yeah, pardon me. I forgot we always talk from the standpoint of our own group being the greatest collection of human beings on the planet, gaming like neo manipulating the matrix while every single person we ever fight has the capabilities of a kittenroach.

A stupid kittenroach.

My bad. In that vein my group of half a person, cause I’m watching a movie on the other monitor, single handedly wipes the 150 enemy players on any given wvw map. Cause you know, they’re all terrible and an aoe cap of 5 doesn’t hinder damage dealing capabilities when outnumbered at all.

Perhaps raise it to 10 players, I too would appreciate this as it’d make Shout-Healers and Longbow AoE more viable builds for warrior.

However 25 players losing to 50 or 5 not being able to defend against 30 in a tower are hardly reasons why the cap should be removed (imo).
