Applied Vitality vs Guard Leech; change?
For leagues is planned another Wxp points reset.
I’d be baffled (ok, not THAT much, it’s Anet WvW team afterall) if they weren’t going trough it for balancing some Wxp stuff before the league starts.
And in that case, i assume Guard Leech + Defense will be 1st priority.
Most used: Guard/Mes/War/Nec/Ele.

I disagree. Everyone has equal access to the line and can get it once they put enough time and effort into WvW. 115 ranks is really, really easy to obtain. You could literally do it in two or three weeks. Took me two or three months because I spent earlier points on more important things such as siege defense, etc.
Also, Applied Vit is not very strong. 2.5k extra health is literally one crit from someone with a few stacks of might. All it does is give you a little more breathing room and ability to recognize the errors you made. A split second more time to react. It also gives wiggle room for builds that may not have the ability to get the amount of health you wanted, though with a little effort in WvW, you can now have that build the way you wanted (as long as you don’t die).
It would be similar to ask for stack sigils to be nerfed too since they clearly give flat out bonuses to stats too. 10% crit chance, 250 extra power, healing power, condition damage. Just as easy to build those stacks too. Why not nerf these too? They’re easier to obtain, more efficient.

Would rather see it removed entirely. Honestly (and this will never happen), I’d rather they remove all of the wxp traits, and replace them with some cosmetic kitten or w/e they want that doesn’t actually affect gameplay.
No question powerful but is possible for all classes to achieve. Ultimately powerful but it doesn’t cause a significant balance issue. Bunkers do make better use of that pool but that is to be expected.

Applied fortitude = 26 more vitality than 6 pieces of ptv armor has on it

Guard leech needs to be buffed or applied fortitude needs to be nerfed. Preferably the latter.

Sure, it’s possible for all classes to achieve; hence it is mandatory. Is it really fun to have a mandatory trait that prevents you from touching anything else for one hundred and fifteen ranks?

Both need to be returned to something that only applies to guards. Having 230 ranks of mandatory pick traits is a ridiculous gameplay situation for a pvp game mode.

By taking them, you’re giving up something else- A different sigil that doesn’t require stacking. Granted, that doesn’t… Actually work, you can just swap your weapons out once you’ve stacked, which I’d suggest fixing as well.
They’re a bit overpowered and as it’s been mentioned above they become mandatory when talking about player equality. The vitality buff also doubles as a damage increase for condition builds, specifically runes of scavenging.
WvW is not about fairness, it’s war.

Mastery skills that increase stat lines should be eliminated. Mastery skills have always been to benefit npc type items.
In a huge zerg the stat increase might not matter a lot, but it does when you are roaming.
Coincidentally, players who roam have a much harder time by far to obtain these two traits.

Even in a huge zerg that 2500 HP can make a lot of difference. If it keeps you from getting downed, and keeps the other team from killing you and therefore rallying their dudes, that can be the difference between making half a dozen kills and not.
